Chapter 2047: New Crafty Advisor
Thus, a new advisor role had been granted to Kraft. Nobody had seen this guy before in Ress and the 'King' had said given him the authority to overhaul the entire government body. When asked for proof, En Moy, unfortunately, stated that Jin did pass him an official statement letter, proving Kraft to a new person he found to get things done.
"If anything, the training would be similar to the Commando Mages. Just that it's more from the perspective of working." The letter stated as it was but oh boy were they sorely mistaken. In Kraft's ideal world of government workers, they have to learn how to use the basic usage of a sword and the pen.
Otherwise, how would the government workers be able to loyally serve the kingdom when they do not have any brawn to back it up? Besides, in his opinion, if the workers were not physically strong, they would not be mentally hardened to work against deadlines and other weird situations that were thrown at them.
Therefore, using Jin's method of training the commando mages, Kraft was less than merciful in his ways. He had made sure that he squeezed the workers way more than the commando training because of the time aspect and the fact that they were needed for daily work.
En Moy and Topharm were undoubtedly being subjected to the training as well and perhaps they might be in a much worse state than the regular ones despite the latter's old age. Even though Jin had told the Devil to take it easy on the two leaders, the fact is that it's precisely because they were leaders, Kraft needed to train them to the standard of leaders.
(But he did give them a little easier compared to the original training that he had intended them to take.)
Kraft had also ensured that Topharm could endure the training and even gave him stamina and health enhancing boosts such as bone strengthening spells on a consistent basis to let him endure the training.
This was the handicap that Kraft gave Topharm and En Moy but it basically allowed the Devil Fox to do whatever he wanted because they were consistently in a 'tip top' position to deal with the training programme.
Obviously, Jin knew about the training as he was creating the Automation Factory for the military. Especially when most if not all of the government workers wrote a petition for the king to change the advisor and even apologise for not doing a good job previously. However, the King ignored the letter and continued to work hard on the Automation Factory south of Ress' Capital.
He knew that Kraft would not listen to most of his pleas in the first place and could only pray that the workers could go through this hard phase as fast as possible. Eventually, 2 weeks passed and slowly the workers were relegated to their fate of being abused not only at work when Kraft demanded processes to be met with a certain standardisation.
Forms after forms were made to ensure that everything was done with approval and that everything was documented properly.
It was not as if they did not do it previously, but they did not do it diligently. Now with Kraft around, they had to do everything through these procedures. Everything was more systematic and things started to improve despite the chaotic mandatory change that they had to go through.
It was not easy especially since there was no more specific department or ministry as everyone was working on various things at the same time. Kraft did not like the idea initially but understood where Jin was coming from since there were not enough workers who knew governmental stuff until they hired more employees.
So all the more, he had decided to cram all the information that each and everyone had based on the position as clearance levels and feed all that information to everyone. It was such a bad headache for every single government worker that they regretted being a bad government worker because the information merging to each and every one depends on the current knowledge that they have.
Kraft was already a kind soul since he deciphered and segregated the good information and false information apart before giving them mass feeding. Thus, all they needed to do was to eat up all the information and compartmentalised the information if necessary.
In the third and fourth weeks, things started to change for them as they acclimatised to the training most were using the same floating spells that the Commando Mages were using to move around and all of them had pistols on hand (Courtesy of Kraft who finally imitated the art of improvised smithing while waiting for the training to pass.)
Documentation, while tedious because of the lack of an electronic database, had started to go more smoothly and less straining for the entire group because everyone knew what they were doing, and the fact that there was diligence and effort put into the process.
Yet at the same time, Kraft had dabbled with huge magic rocks via his newly acquired improvised smithing ability so that those magic rocks could project holograms and information stored within them. It acted like a computer with information being transmitted as mana and it did facilitate their documentation process a little better.
All he needed now was to wait for Jin to create a series of computers for the government workers to work better but right now, he was quite satisfied with the improvement that he had put in.

"Perhaps I should go visit Jin since it's been about a month since he started the Automation Factory thingy. Even the apartment building was faster than this. What is making him take so long." Kraft wondered as he snapped his fingers and teleported himself to the so call empty site where Jin was making the automation factory.
It was then he saw Jin lying on the ground defenceless to the point that even if an assassin came to kill him, he would be able to do so by walking right in front of him and stabbing.
"Is it done?" Kraft asked and Jin nodded his head faintly. "I do not see it though."
"Because it's all underground," Jin said as he slowly sat up and pointed at a cave entrance.
"Ew. Underground. I know that will make the other enemies curious but it would be such a hassle to bring goods and products out."
"About that...ahhahaha." Jin clapped his hands and the ground started to move downwards. It was at that point Kraft realised they were on a huge land elevator despite the landscape being rural and empty.
Only when they reached underground did Kraft see what Jin had made. Giants robot arms with layers upon layers of inscription charms inscribed on them and with a flick of a finger, materials started to materialise in front of the robot arm, allowing it to start working.
To Kraft's surprise, it was an imitation of the improvised smithing that Kraft had been doing to create the pistols and magic rock database computer which he had given to the government workers as part of their rewards.
"I figured that if you are able to replicate the improvised smithing, I thought that maybe the improvised smithing can be mass produced as well. There's no way I am going to do it all by myself, creating every single piece of shit that is needed for the war. And this way, I can also remotely remove all possible technology in the event that I do not reappear here on an annual basis."
"Lmao, imagine you were kicked back to the real world and when you return, this underground factory might be the only relic hiding in this world. But with just a flick of your wrist, the factory recognised your magic signature, and poof it became a wonderland for manufacturing once more." Kraft imagined and Jin nodded, thinking that that might be the reality of it all.
"Now, I am beginning to think putting it underground might actually be a good choice after all."
At this point, because of what Jin had created, his Improvised Smithing skill had ranked up to E+. There was no information on additional perks and merely just stated that the materials used would be lessened.
True enough, Jin did think that more materials were needed and even used Ress' territory as collateral even though the people had prepared quite a lot from taking boatloads of sand from Portal 7. When it was done, there was at least a ton of sand that had not been used at all and it was left at the side of the remote land like an eyesore.
But what fascinated Kraft was still the fact that each and every single robot arm had the ability to improvise smith based on the user's will. (At the moment, only Jin's will.) "Do you still need people to man all these robots?"
"Yes, but at the very least, those people that were involved were mainly for logistic purposes. There is no way I am letting them be involved in the items I wish to create because they do not know what I want. Oh and supply magic powers to the robot arms as well. Or at least putting magic crystals to ensure that the robot arms would still be working consistently."
"Basically, maintenance and logistics." Kraft verified as he saw the giant robot arm creating a brand new (modified) Sherman Tank right in front of their eyes.
