Chapter 2070: Loud Banging of A Gong

Chapter 2070: Loud Banging of A Gong

But before Jin was able to obediently follow the instructions that Captain Hei had issued, a series of loud banging of a gong happened, making Jin look towards the northwest portion of the village where the sound was being emitted.

"Blasted. Is it one of your kind as well?" Captain Hei asked but Jin had no idea what he was talking about.

"One of my kind? I am the only one who came here and was pretty sure that no one was following me to this place." Jin said and suddenly there was a clear shout from one of the Pandarian Guards.

"Red Demon Locust Orcs! They are coming back for us again!" The Guard said and Captain Hei gave a loud roar as if to alert everyone in the village. Jin believed that he did that because the initial one might have been a false alert considering Jin was the one to 'visit' them.

"Ah…so I did not wish wrongly… it is just that I am in the wrong part of the dungeon…" Jin thought to himself as to why the orcs he had wished to look for did not appear and instead, Pandas emerged.

The only theory he could think of was that he might have been missing home a little and with the strong inclination of demons affecting his decisions for the past few days, he might have accidentally twisted his inner desires as well as his wishes, resulting in such a situation to happen.

But to think that there were two possible sentient races in one dungeon portal, it was more than he had bargained for and this might seem like an upgrade in his dungeon summoning aside from the fact that he could summon Rank S+. Perhaps, the consistent summoning as well as the past experiences of being able to create dungeons with a flick of his finger might have contributed to this improvement. Unfortunately, this was not the best time to celebrate his jump in capability as he saw Captain Hei did not give a shit about him since he was shouting orders to get the villagers to hide while the guards were rearming themselves once more after the false alarm previously.

Yet, it was precisely because it was so soon that they had settled the false alarm, most of them were still geared and they were able to respond faster than usual.

As their names had implied, the Red Demon Locust Orcs were literally flying in droves like locusts as they invaded the village from above. The village had been equipped with some anti air defence as lightning bolts were shot out from the buildings the moment those Red Demon Locust Orcs were within distance.

Jin believed it was meant to be a first line of defence as the Pandarians prepared their equipment. But since they were already equipped because of the false alarm, the retaliation of the guards was more prompt and fierce. At that point, Pandarian Archers already took their positions behind cover to shoot down those Locust Orcs.

And as those Locust Orcs wished to destroy the ranged defenders, melee users struck them before they could do anything against their archers.

Sadly, such a brave front did not last long as the Locust Orcs were not only coming from above but also through the front gate. It would not be long before the entire village would be consumed by the Red Demon Locust Orcs and the Pandarians knew that their numbers would not be sufficient to kill them despite being formidable fighters themselves.

One single arrow from a veteran Pandarian Archer was able to pierce through ten to fifteen Locust Orcs despite the fact that they had been identified as Rank A to S-.

But the fact that most or if not all of the Pandarians were at least EX-Rank and above, showed that they could be a worthy ally to partner with as compared to the Red Demon Locust Orcs who felt like they were just a mindless swarm of monsters.

Of course, if it was possible, Jin would want both of them! Who would not want a fearless swarm of Locust Orcs flying down on the demons and slaughtering their fellow demons? But if he needed to choose a side, there was no way he could abandon the very thing that symbolised him and his family since birth.

Pandas.

"What the heck are you still standing there like an idiot, enjoying the scenery?" Captain Hei shouted at Jin as he urged the so called King to take cover in the guest house. But only later remembered that he was not just a guest. Jin was an experienced fighter too.

Even without moving his body, the chi that surrounded him was able to slice the Locust Orcs who thought that Jin was some sort of easy prey to kill.

"Gah! Do what you want to do!" Thus Captain Hei had decided to take his eyes away from Jin as he knew that he was able to manage himself. So, while Jin was standing there in solitude, eliminating any Locust Orcs who had the same idea as the few who attempted initially, Jin picked up a gadget from his pockets.

Lo and behold. A working 90's handphone. No touchscreen but just a small digital screen with pressable buttons. All fully powered with magic.

"Gara, can you hear me?" Jin asked as the phone had managed to dial through despite the signal being a little choppy which he believed was due to the Locust Orcs.

"Somewhat? Do you need people to rescue you or something?"

"Not really but you could say it's something like that. Sortie out the 140 Rifle Mages, the Commando Mages as well as the Star Foxes. Tell the last group, it's the king's orders. Get all of them to be fully equipped with the mentality to kill red flying Orcs on sight." Jin said and even though Gara was somewhat confused, he acknowledged the orders.

"Maybe the negotiations had broken down?" Gara did not wish to hypothesize at the moment as it seemed like Jin needed those mages as soon as possible.
