Chapter 2076: Extra: Encouragement to the Foxes

The Star Foxes when heard of the sortie sighed as Kraft gave them the 'exciting news'. "At least the King is pretending to look out for us." One of them said and the rest of them gave that slight smile knowing that they may die fighting against the Dune Shell Orcs. They have no idea what those Orcs were except for the testimonies and rumours that were circulating around the Pandarian Village.

"Well, you all have your orders. Now, what are you waiting for? Those Orcs to invite you to their camp?" Kraft asked and the Star Foxes saluted the Royal Advisors and departed immediately. However, there was still tension among the Star Foxes.

Because of how Kraft had 'created' them, they went through hell and back so these Dune Shell Orcs were not the problem, it was how they were being treated despite having the status of prisoners turned soldiers.

They all believed that they should at least have some power and responsibility for the lives that they had but the chains that they wore made them believe that they would never escape such a fate.

And as the Star Foxes were already in flight, suddenly they felt a major magical presence behind them, only to realise that it was none other than Jin.

"Well, my ears turned a little itchy after you guys departed so here I am to provide some assurances to the orders I gave since your master was willing to ditch all of you into the land of damnation that easily," Jin said as he told them to pause for a moment as he took out a bunch of inscription charms from his storage rings.

"I had been saving these for my Commando Mages but it feels like you will be going into the thick of battle earlier than them. So, each one of you takes one. I believe I have sufficient for everyone." Jin said as he passed it to one of the Star Foxes at the front.

"Kraft had told me not to learn any of your names and instead call by your numbers just as I had done for my Commando Mages because we are not going to live long to matter," Jin remarked as the Star Fox passed around the inscription charms. "But that does not mean that we should negate your lives just as how we negated ours.

So, these inscription charms would be activated with the loss of your magic. All you had to do is to paste it near your bodies so that whenever they felt there was no magical presence for 2 seconds, it would provide you a huge boost of magic power, supposedly at the cost of something."

"Cost of something?" One of the Star Foxes felt this was a bad deal to begin with already.

"Yes. Every ounce of power would be traded for something. The problem is that I do not have the capability to pinpoint the trade off so you definitely bound to lose something. That is why, I am giving you all of these as a choice. To use this drastic boost of power to overpower the enemies or to use it to flee." Jin replied.

"What I can tell you is this. You all are already stripped of your ownership. There is no need to work any harder for honour and the fact that you all are holding chains that bind your freedom means that there is no way you will have your own choice in such matters. That is why, my order to all of you is simple. To return and survive. I do not permit death."

"Damn, the king is contradicting himself," One of the Star Foxes commented and Jin smiled.

"I am. Life is a hypocritical matter where humans dictate what is black or white. Interpret the orders as you like but my only concern is that you obeyed my order alongside Kraft's." Jin said as he took out his Mr Hammer out and pointed at the group of Star Foxes. He honestly had no idea how strong the Dune Shell Orcs were or the extent of the Star Foxes' powers despite having the reports.

So all he can do is give as much support as possible so that the Star Foxes can do their jobs properly.

Mr Hammer swung once and he hit the surrounding air around the whole group. At that point in time, magic suddenly circulates around all of the Star Foxes and they know that Jin had started his improvise smithing. It just that they did not realise that Jin was able to perform it on a group as they had always assume it was on just inanimate objects.

With each blow from Mr Hammer. They could feel that their equipment felt more sturdy, their bodies had that toughness imbued onto them and their senses sharper. With the fifth blow, a huge wave of power was emanated through the air and their magical capabilities felt raw.

"Now. Go. Find those Dune Shell Orcs and eliminate each and every one of them but my existing orders still stands." Jin ordered and the Star Foxes gave a resounding reply, which was different from the one that Kraft had given.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" They shouted with such gusto that it could be heard by the Pandarians as well as the Rifle Mages who were doing logistical work. To those Rifle Mages who were watching this, they felt a sense of pride to see this supposedly rumoured group was giving their best.

It was as if their faith to their king were being tested at that certain point and most of them started to promise to work a little harder and faster to meet their king's expectation.

Ever since all of them saw how their king fought against the enemies, they had more confidence that they would be able to overcome whatever obstacles that were placed on their way. The only matter they had to know is how to serve their king better. That applied the same to the Pandarians even though the effect to them was not as apparent.
