Chapter 3389 Eyes In The Woods
Jade Aurora trembled as she saw the Emperor of Death's second wife, Natalya Loret, who was also a friend of Ivy Aries.
"You…"
She remained shocked, unable to react properly as she stared at Natalya's face upside down.
She slowly reached out her hand, allowing her to be lifted up as she turned around and continued to stare at Natalya in disbelief. Suddenly, she couldn't help but look around.
"I've come here alone, so don't worry."
Natalya hid a sly smile as she said in a soft voice. The next moment, she could see the disappointment in Jade Aurora's eyes, causing her to smile inwardly.
"I see." Jade Aurora turned to look at her fellow disciples, whom Natalya easily dispatched before she returned her gaze to her wryly.
"Do you mind telling me what this is all about? By Young Master, did you mean your husband?"
"I was just kidding~" Natalya giggled.
"I didn't want anyone to find our meeting for various reasons, so I had to resort to this kind of reunion. I apologize if it offended you."
"Ah- no." Jade Aurora lightly smiled, "I'm glad I was able to see you. How is-"
Abruptly, Natalya placed a hand on Jade Aurora's lips, causing the latter to blink as she looked at Natalya's confident gaze swivel towards the side.
"You've been watching us for a while, so why don't you come out— along with your friends, of course."
Natalya's words resounded amongst the silent woods.
"Hahaha~ How perceptive."
A black-robed silhouette jumped from the tall trees and landed fifty meters away from Natalya and Jade Aurora. It instantly caused Jade Aurora to turn carefully as she crossed her hands and took a defensive posture against the newcomers as a few more landed beside him and also to the sides as they surrounded them.
"Olga…"
Jade Aurora's voice was solemn. She sent Natalya a soul transmission.
"Quick, you need to escape. Use your life ring to take away my fellow disciples. We can't possibly fight against this crazy bastard who can reach Level One Immortal Emperor Stage in prowess…"
"…"
Natalya waved her hand and took in the female disciples she made unconscious into her life ring as she was told. However, she didn't leave but used her soul sense to survey the area, allowing her to know there were eight of them, with one hidden quite a distance away.
The man called Olga seemed to be a Level Nine Immortal King with a prowess that was three levels higher. She had to inwardly think, 'Not bad for a random nobody' while the others were also Level Seven Immortal Kings, but their prowess didn't seem to be that dense when judging by their auras.
"I heard about Fairy Jade Aurora's beauty and resilience for a long time. It would be my greatest pleasure to take you as one of my wives."
Olga cupped his hands, looking like a charming man, but his actions irked Jade Aurora as her eyes turned bloodshot.
"Shut your mouth, despicable bandit. Don't think my Jade Lotus Valley will leave you alive after you violated and sold so many of our fellow disciples and even other women from many powers."
"I see. It's a pity…"
Olga shook his head with a wry smile, "I mean, we're bandits… we plunder anything that you protect dear or plunder your very own life, but our goal is to make riches. Therefore, you can't possibly blame me for having fun with a few women before selling them off to make profits. At least we let them off alive, unlike the Poison Haven. Well, I did ruin my own profits as they're no longer virgins, but— you should know why I didn't touch the top disciple and the other beauties we captured two days ago."
Jade Aurora trembled, finding it difficult to contain her anger as her wide eyes stared at him with hatred.
She realized that she was baited out here, but so what?
She already knew this would be the case and had an escape route ready, but it was not in her plan that Natalya would interfere and head in the opposite direction towards the exit, which made her fall for this trap. Still, as an ex-Valley Master, she knew nothing would go as planned, so she still had the confidence to leave, but looking at Natalya, she knew that she needed to prioritize getting her out of this situation.
"Natalya, quick-"
Jade Aurora wanted to launch Natalya into the air so she could make her escape.
However, she suddenly froze as she saw eight cerulean lotuses. They were tiny, no more than the size of a pigeon egg, but the icy undulations emerging from them chilled her soul. Her pupils gazed at the lotuses spinning ever so lightly, but the next moment, they disappeared, causing her to believe that they had been illusions.
However, she suddenly sensed something strange.
The threatening undulations of the bandits disappeared all too suddenly, causing her to turn to look around, and what she saw was nothing less than heaven-flipping.
The seven bandits had all frozen. She couldn't even sense their auras anymore, which meant they were most likely dead. There was an icy aura in the distance, so she guessed that Natalya killed the one who could track them down later.
She took a moment to process what had happened as a Level Nine Immortal King, as well as seven other Late Stage Immortal Kings, just froze to death. Heck, some of their talismans had activated, but even that couldn't stop the tiny cerulean lotuses from freezing them into losing their lives. What's more, the eight cerulean lotuses were still hovering above the frozen bandits, which meant they still had energy to spare to freeze more.
"The Yin Lotus Fairy's prowess is beyond my comprehension—you didn't even give them a moment to say their last words…"
Jade Aurora finally acknowledged what had transpired before her.
The Divine Emperor of Death's Second Wife, Natalya Loret, also known as the Yin Lotus Fairy, was too overpowered. It didn't even seem possible that she could catch up to her in this lifetime.
Natalya waved her hand, causing the cerulean lotuses to disappear.
"Oh- that… did you have something to ask them, like where they are hiding the other disciples or something similar? I'm sorry. My husband has always instructed us to kill enemies if they possess no value to return by keeping them alive…"
Natalya apologized as she frantically gestured, "I didn't think-"
"No, if you had kept him alive, he would've said he was the seventh and most promising son of the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor and demanded that you release him, but- sigh. He really didn't even see it coming…"
Jade Aurora saw that Olga still had that smug look on his face. If anything, he would become a good piece of furniture with how he posed and the barrier around him, looking like he was enveloped in a halo.
"Oops…"
Natalya stuck her tongue out and appeared like she made a mistake.
The seventh and most promising son…? That didn't seem as though it could bore well for the defending forces here as it could buy the ire of the Northern Sphere Bandits in all its entirety.
As far as she knew, the Northern Sphere Bandits was a prominent bandit group in the Northern Divide, consisting of ten thousand Immortal Kings and ten Immortal Emperors. However, their Immortal Emperors didn't even cross into the Mid Stage, so it wasn't like they were any powerful, but to the factions present here, they were an unbeatable force that they couldn't hope to offend.
