Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4441: Facing Three Nether Devils

Chapter 4441: Facing Three Nether Devils

Illumina’s dazzling figure was now splattered in black blood. This black blood was like a curse. It tried to invade Illumina’s body. This blood also contained poison, but with her pores locked, Illumina didn’t let any inside.

She erased them with a wave of her incredible nether-yin energy. With an Emperor-Tier Bloodline, her darkness nature was incredibly high.

Her yin energy was already of darkness attribute, so when it mixed with nether energy from her own body and the surroundings, it became very powerful.

The Nether Devil’s eyes widened as it looked down, confused. Its chest had been ruptured from end to end, black blood spilling uncontrollably. It took a few steps back, trembling in fury.

"You are-!"

But it couldn’t finish its sentence.

A towering pressure suddenly descended from above. The skies seemed to tremble as radiant light surged outward. Illumina, once a slender who shone like a jewel, had transformed.

She now stood fifty meters tall, releasing her true form as a magical beast, a majestic, terrifying Nethermoon Mirage Rabbit. Her snowy fur shimmered with moonlight, and dark violet stripes ran down her limbs like streaks of lightning. Her long ears twitched, and her glowing sapphire eyes gleamed as though they had locked onto her prey.

"...!"

The Nether Devils took a step back instinctively, looking alarmed, a rare expression that they had never seen from a Nether Devil. It seemed like it understood the power difference between them and this rabbit.

None of them ever revealed their true aura. All the Nether Devils saw was a bunch of Early Stage Empyreans and Late Stage Immortal Emperors trying to escape from them. This particular rabbit had also used its illusion techniques to lose them nearly every single time. It was the Myriad Body Cascade species technique.

However, they enjoyed the hunt but never did they know that this rabbit’s prowess surpassed the Level Nine Empyrean Stage.

"Your hunt is over," Illumina’s voice boomed, echoing across the blackened lands.

She was still nowhere near as tall as the thousand-meter-tall Nether Devils. Their figure was hulking, and in front of them, she appeared like a small rabbit despite her big size. Yet, she was able to exude even more power than them, even more power than battling in her human form.

*Boom!*

A sonic boom exploded as her thighs abruptly elongated, nether yin energy condensing to the utmost that it crackled like lightning.

She disappeared in a flash and reappeared behind the first Nether Devil.

A clean, diagonal slash.

The massive devil didn’t even have time to react before its body split apart at the chest. Black gore sprayed into the air as it let out a confused grunt, then collapsed into two pieces, unmoving.

The redness in its eyes dulled greatly.

The other two Nether Devils roared furiously and charged at her, wings flaring, claws sharp enough to tear through Late-Stage Empyrean Beasts. One of them leaped, aiming to crash into her from the side.

But Illumina’s giant paw swept across the air with incredible force.

*Boom!~*

The paw was small compared to the giant hand of the Nether Devil.

However, the Nether Devil’s arm exploded, and it was swatted like a fly, its body crashing into the ground and tumbling like a broken doll. Before it could recover, Illumina appeared above it, conjuring a blade of condensed moonlight above her head and driving it down like a horn.

*Puchi!~*

The blade ran through the creature’s skull, pinning it to the ground like a trophy.

Massive amounts of black blood flowed across the lands.

Illumina stood in the air, her cold sapphire eyes looking at the corpse of the two Nether Devils with utter disgust.

The smell of blood was rancid and poisonous. They weren’t up to par with the Vacuous Beast blood in terms of toxicity, but they certainly didn’t smell good.

She turned to look behind, intending to finish the battle in the next move.

The last Nether Devil was terrified as it tried to retreat. It turned to fly, its wings flapping desperately, but a dome of black light erupted, engulfing it in the next instant like a sphere of dark moon. Illumina shot forward like a comet and unleashed a rapid flurry of slashes, each movement elegant but merciless.

Slash, slash, slash!

Limbs were torn apart. Wings were sliced clean off.

"Reeeaaaaghhhhh!!!"

The devil screamed in rage and terror, but its body couldn’t hold.

Finally, Illumina struck one last time.

Her glowing claw ripped straight through the devil’s chest and pulled out its blackened core. It was the Nether Devil Core, which was extremely useful for creating curses and other dark arts. With a final twist, her claws rend the body from the inside out, shredding it into a spiral mass of flesh.

The creature’s head fell, unmoving.

Silence returned to the battlefield.

Illumina’s giant form stood over the remains of three Mid-Level Empyrean Stage Nether Devils, their bodies mangled beyond recognition. Her pristine snow-white fur was unstained as if none of their filth had dared cling to her.

She gazed down at Nadia.

"Done."

Nadia let out a slow breath and nodded, "Masterful execution. As a wolf who is well experienced in hunting, I must say your skills are extraordinary amidst the rabbit race."

"Your praise is my honor."

Illumina’s figure flashed as it became smaller. She returned to her human form, her silver hair flailing in the wind as she descended. Her long bunny ears flailed lightly. She did take the praise to her heart since the Nether Devils were really dangerous.

They were also capable of unleashing curses. Therefore, if she didn’t defeat them in time, they would be cursed, their health would start to decline, and their lifespan would start to shed.

However, she frowned.

"Nether Devils are barbarous but are said to be protective of their young ones when battling other races. Wouldn’t a higher-stage Nether Devil possibly chase us here- eventually?"

"They would- but I don’t think we need to take care of that. Isn’t that right, elder cobra?"

Nadia looked into the distance within a dark valley.

Everyone narrowed their eyes, following Nadia’s gaze. Their heart sank, wondering if Nadia sensed a powerful cobra that was hiding. However, Nadia was still an Immortal Emperor Beast. How was she able to find out quicker than them? Was her perception that great?

"Ancestor! Are you there!?"

Azbel yelled out, hoping it was his Nether Orb Cobra race and not some other cobra. Otherwise, they could be screwed.

Eventually, a thirty-meter long cobra with sleek, black scales shimmering in shades of purple and green slithered its way out of the dark valley.

Its hood displayed glowing runes that shift like liquid spatial or darkness energy, mesmerizing all who see it. There was a dark purple orb on its forehead, appearing to contain nether energy.

"Ancestor!"

Azbel was overjoyed. He quickly ran towards the Nether Orb Cobra.

However, the Nether Orb Cobra began to enlarge as a divine light appeared above its head, imitating its own image. From a thirty-meter-long serpent, it quickly grew to a massive three-kilometer-long serpent, its body wrapping around the area like it didn’t allow them to leave alive.
