Chapter 4577: Harvesting Primarch Grade Resources

Chapter 4577: Harvesting Primarch Grade Resources

The False Dawn Harbinger moved, its towering body hovering like a lean floating mountain heading in the direction of the northern valley, where it noticed the presence of blood.

*Fing~*

Abruptly, the False Dawn Harbinger noticed something in the air towards the western valley. Something came up high up in the skies, moving towards it in an arc, and it suddenly stopped tens and thousands of kilometers in the air.

It abruptly glowed, and a figure appeared nearly fifty thousand kilometers below.

It was that blonde-haired, purple-robed human. He had his arms folded, appearing to look down on it.

“You thought you had killed me? Pfft, think again. You can never kill me. You’re nothing but a mindless lifeform who can only exist in this terrain. If you come to my human world, there’s a being called the Celestial Transcendent. He will pulverize you within an instant.”

The False Dawn Harbinger moved while the little human was talking. However, as it waved its hand, it found that there was nothing. It was nothing but a projection, but to it, it was some kind of illusion.

It raised its hand, pointing at the glowing sphere above.

*Whizz~*

The glowing sphere abruptly lit up in silver flames, and the purple-robed man disappeared. Its gaze flashed, looking through the western valley, wondering if the human it had burned was still alive.

It didn’t collect the human’s soul since it had battled with the Eternal Eclipse Bird.

It radiated a faint sense of killing intent, feeling it was being looked down upon by a puny human, and shot towards the western valley again.

*Booom!~*

Abruptly, the southwestern side of the basin trembled.

The False Dawn Harbinger stopped and turned to look, wondering if someone had intruded on its territory again. It felt incensed, even irritated.

“Zuuu!~”

It let out a furious bellow and flew back to its territory, and checked out the field. It saw that a part of a mountain had collapsed. Heading closer, it saw that there was remnant flame energy left and a few pieces of white substance.

It recognized this thing from the humans it had hunted, but it didn’t know it was an explosive talisman.

In the end, it returned to the center of the basin, maintaining a vigilant eye. For some reason, there were way too many ants hiding near it.

Far away, Davis hid safely and watched the False Dawn Harbinger go around like a fool to his machinations before choosing to stay like a guardian watching over the basin.

‘As expected, it possesses sentience, but its intelligence is nowhere near an adult human. It cannot realize that I’m tricking it but thinks that I will return to challenge it, waiting for me to appear…’

Davis guessed as he snickered. He felt it was really guarding something near the basin or just wanted to squash everything in its territory. He didn’t think the former was possible since he didn’t sense any valuable resources. However, the existence of the sand with concealment properties made him think otherwise.

Still, he didn’t feel the False Dawn Harbinger’s speculated thinking was wrong, considering that he would indeed need to return this way in order to get back to the Wrathful Aeons Shard Region.

‘Well, the return trip after picking up all my wives can be through the Shard Regions instead of the Shard Continent…’ Davis thought.

Nonetheless, he turned around to leave.

Other than calamities, his soul sense had also picked up locations of a few Primarch Grade resources. However, these resources were close to the calamities, so he knew he had to be careful.

Davis headed north, where he sensed that unknown calamity that was disgusting to look at. However, he didn’t go straight. He arced around and headed to a lake.

The lake shimmered with an eerie stillness, its surface tinted green by the heavy swamp mists that clung to the air. Davis stood by the water’s edge, his soul sense sweeping beneath the murky depths slowly until it locked onto a faint glow at the bottom.

A cluster of roots swayed lazily in the currents, each strand releasing droplets of life-rich essence.

It was a Water-Wood Attribute Low-Level Primarch Grade Resource.

Its vitality was immense, matured over countless years, yet the lack of a forming spirit meant it could be harvested without resistance as long as he was careful and didn’t invoke its natural defense mechanism.

Davis exhaled, pressing his palm forward. Deathly energy parted the water like a veil, creating a silent passage down to the glowing roots. With steady soul hands, he severed the base of the resource and guided it into his spatial ring, sealing away its flourishing energy before it leaked into the swamp.

At the same time, he replaced it with a similar Empyrean Grade resource so the nearby calamity doesn’t notice it.

“Good,” he murmured, slowly back-stepping into the mist, “No unnecessary disturbances.”

Without lingering, he shot across the swamp’s border by going around again, his figure weaving through the thick vegetation until the terrain shifted into bleak, jagged ridges.

After an hour, he arrived at the other side of the dark hill. It appeared like a realm of shadows.

Valleys stretched endlessly, suffused with yin miasma that twisted and curled like phantom smoke. The place was deathly silent, too silent.

Davis descended carefully, his gaze narrowing at the center of a hollow ravine. There, nestled in an opening between two obsidian boulders, a pitch-black bloom pulsed with faint purple yin light. Its petals looked like they were carved from the void itself, each one shedding threads of darkness that fused into the valley’s haze.

‘A Darkness-Yin Attribute Primarch Grade Resource…’ Davis recognized its nature.

Its maturity rivaled the water-wood treasure, its energy dense enough to make the surrounding shadows quiver unnaturally.

However, he didn’t move.

Right by its side was a burned Eternal Eclipse Bird, twitching like a half-dead bird.

It seemed to be barely surviving with silver flames still on its body, trying to burn it, yet he couldn’t smell any aroma due to the miasma. It was certainly poisonous, but it was not enough to put him at a disadvantage.

It was not poison energy but corrupting yin energy, and it certainly didn’t seem to be coming from the Darkness-Yin Attributed Primarch Grade Treasure, which meant it was a byproduct of the region’s original shadow and darkness energy combined with the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s burning blood.

‘I see… I’m going to get the Lunar Shadow Bleeding Sickness if I continue to stay here…’
