After Mythic Riftveil Serpent Spirit fled, Davis didn’t bother to revel in his victory either.

The spatial rings the Starry Corps had all shattered. Amidst the terrifying spatial storm, he quickly managed to collect their soul essence and stole their karmic sin as well before they could dissipate. After all, these two aspects were unimpeded by most attacks since they would return to the Reincarnation Cycle.

He trembled as it projected its aura everywhere. Attracted by the commotion they had created, it appeared. He didn’t find it strange since they lit up over fifteen beacons in this place, consisting of the Starry Corps corpses, which exploded into smithereens.

’Phew...’ Davis inwardly sighed, ’A Mid-Level Primarch Stage Realm Calamity... possibly Level Five or above...’

He guessed this space-decay attributed Realm Calamity was what actually made the Mythic Riftveil Serpent Spirit flee. Otherwise, it would’ve at least spat out some curses or communicated with him.

This allowed him to imagine a structure for the tangible flow of fate, which he could use to exploit using the scarlet bundle, which he could see while possessing the scarlet thread.

In other words, he inserted himself into the target’s fate, allowing him to usurp their identity.

Even if he changed forms, people would still perceive him as Awudan. His aura was impeccably the same as Awudan’s. His soul was one of Awudan’s. His body was Awudan’s. But in reality, everything was just Davis beneath the garb that was known as Awudan.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to use his powers like Misdirection and Enigmatic Heart Laws.

The terrifying nature of this usurping technique left Davis breathless.

Regardless, he went over the battle to see if he had missed anything.

Suddenly, he would regain balance and display a middle finger to enrage them, but most importantly, bring out the Eternal Eclipse Bird from the Temporal Voidplane Ring to show that he still had the upper hand. It would undoubtedly stun them all. The middle finger was an added bonus.

Then, using that moment, as ’Awudan’, he would strike from behind and put the nail in the coffin for their captain, who could probably turn the tide. At the same time, he would make the other members initiate self-destruction by provoking them using Enigmatic Heart Laws and using Misdirection to make them recognize that he was Davis despite the effects of the usurpation technique, disallowing them to recognize ’Awudan’ as Davis.

After they were provoked into committing suicide with him, the rest was self-explanatory. Even if they wanted to stop themselves, a chain reaction of unstable and uncontrollable dantians was bound to erupt when caught within.

The battle cleanly ended, although it was quite stormy as a result.

He had also planned for contingencies like the Starry Corps trying to surround him instead of gathering by their captain’s side.

In that case, he would’ve used Misdirection as ’Awudan’ earlier to gather them together. However, he imagined he wouldn’t have the need to do so since spreading out would only wreck their chances of obtaining the Temporal Voidplane Ring. After all, they were also aware that suicide bombing would invite trouble, so they couldn’t surround and wait for him to slowly die. They had to be quick while trying to make him surrender so as to fool him into quickly dying.

As Zealots, they never had any intention of leaving him alive. They would lie through their mouths. Even if they had said the truth, they had probably planned to restrain his movements so that the danger that came later would devour him.
