Chapter 4705 A Voice From Above
Davis took a look at the parchment with the ancient aura.
Despite the ancient aura, it was still in pristine shape and didn't have any tears. The quality of the parchment seemed to be at least Low-Level Primarch Grade. That gave it more authenticity, and the underlying treasure location shouldn't also be any less valuable.
He saw the map marked this sky-piercing mountain and even the Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region.
The Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region and the treasure location were on opposite sides of the sky-piercing mountain. There was also an exit mark pinned down further away from the sky-piercing mountain and the treasure location, but it was a question mark.
Davis realized that the exit location's spatial vortex might've collapsed long ago. Or it could've reappeared this era if the locations of the spatial vortexes were static.
Regardless, he frowned as there wasn't much information other than the map stating [Peak-Level Exalt Grade Treasure awaiting to be harvested] and [only Empyreans and weaker cultivators are capable of entering]. It was written in Sky Word Language, so it wasn't a problem for him to decipher it.
"Are you hiding anything?" Davis turned to look at Fairy Thunderblaze.
"What's there to hide? The owner of this map is long dead. If they have laid out some traps, don't blame me."
Davis blinked, "Are you carrying Exalt Stage human corpses in your spatial ring?"
"They should be quite useful." Fairy Thunderblaze didn't hide it.
Davis nearly sucked in a cold breath.
This woman was also braver than he expected. She actually raided one or more ancient tombs. On the other hand, his women would be worried about ghosts popping out. After all, some could be half-step divinities like Divine Exalts even if they were not Exalts.
Back then, the Divine Exalt cultivation stage should've been highly popular if he wasn't wrong. Most inheritances gained here led to discovering such manuals. The supreme geniuses absolutely hated it since they were mostly from the Transcendent Pathway. On the other hand, the minority immortals and the immortals from other galaxies were overjoyed to find such inheritances.
Nonetheless, the only thing marked about the treasure area was that it was highly dangerous.
"Show the corpses to me. Perhaps there's some clue."
"Pervert." Fairy Thunderblaze's lips curled.
Davis's eyes fluttered multiple times in speechlessness as he never thought this pervert would call him that. Was the deceased female?
"I already searched. There wasn't anything of significance." Fairy Thunderblaze said.
Davis nodded. He didn't pursue it anymore.
He walked towards Rioxys Plume and held a solemn expression on his face, "Rioxys, we'll be leaving now as we take a route around this mountain in order to find a treasure on the other end. Don't follow us. If you do, not only might you meet a peak existence, but also endanger us, as we'll die just from the shockwaves."
He cast a look at the sky-piercing mountain, "You can stay here and explore the six levels, but don't go above the clouds. If someone powerful descends or if you're surrounded by similarly powerful entities, escape with your greatest speed. Fly back and enter this place, which I'm about to show you."
Davis raised his hand and used his soul force to display illusory scenes to Rioxys Plume's ocular senses.
She could see the way they came here and even beyond the Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region. On the eastern side of a tentacle-like Realm Calamity and a Transcendent Crystal Mountain Range, a spatial vortex led to the world known as the True Immortal World's Upper Realms.
Magically, she now knew the way, assuming what Davis allowed her to see was correct in the first place.
Davis heaved a breath. It wasn't easy to directly illuminate a path to an Exalt Spirit of her caliber. It took him a lot of soul force to even allow her to see his illusion, as she wasn't easily fooled. If she resisted, it would just break.
Nonetheless, with some initial trust, Rioxys Plume didn't resist, or she had some confidence that a mere Immortal Emperor's technique wouldn't harm her.
"Go into that world and hide yourself. Don't make a move. Once we're done here, we'll come for you. Until then, keep yourself safe. If something happens to you, Bylai will be sad." Davis could only offer a few emotional words.
He didn't have the ability to control Rioxys Plume's movements.
However, Rioxys Plume totally felt different. She could feel the care this human showed her. It was just like how Bylai and the others treated her, willing to engage without discrimination. She couldn't help but feel warm as she nodded.
"Mhm, I understand. I won't go above the clouds and will keep myself safe."
"Good." Davis gave a firm nod and shot a smile.
Rioxys Plume also returned a smile. Somehow, his smile was infectious and reassuring.
Davis and Fairy Thunderblaze shortly left as they mounted the Eternal Eclipse Bird. Rioxys Plume waved them goodbye with a forlorn expression. She gazed at the Eternal Eclipse Bird with some disappointment and longing, but knew they needed it to protect themselves.
After they disappeared from her gaze, she turned to look at the clouds that hung around the sky-piercing mountain. Somehow, it gave her chills. She didn't doubt that there could be a powerful existence than her up there.
Taking a deep breath, she waltzed into the barrier of the sky-piercing mountain.
Almost instantly, she felt a gaze fall on her, causing her to look up again.
"I… I come in peace." She spoke softly, her eyes darting around.
"Come to the sixth coiling lane."
An enigmatic voice fell over her ears.
"I won't." Rioxys Plume shook her head, "You're clearly powerful than me if I can't sense where you're talking to me from. Since that's the case, I suppose I can only explore until the fifth level."
"Hahaha. Young lass, you're free to do as you please. Just don't engage in mindless slaughter and unfair extraction of resources. If you want something, trade with the other spirits."
Rioxys Plume thought for a moment before she nodded, "Okay."
"Welcome to the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak." That voice genially echoed before it disappeared.
The feeling of being watched also disappeared, causing Rioxys Plume to look around for a while before she made her way up.
