Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4763 A Realm Breaker?

Chapter 4763  A Realm Breaker?

Davis was repeatedly bombarded with karmic burden ever since the time he came here and learned one eclipsing information after another. However, he couldn't care less as this feeling no longer threatened him.

As an Immortal Emperor, his cultivation was low when compared to higher-stage cultivators, but he became powerful enough to almost match a Level One Exalt in prowess. After he comprehended the Level Three Obscure Intent of Enigmatic Heart Laws, the feeling of danger became even more dampened.

The Guardian of the Mountain glanced at Davis, noticing that he was clueless about this power.

'So he had attained this after being repeatedly attacked by the charm spirit? It's incredible that he broke through under those circumstances and that too while being an insignificant Immortal Emperor Stage cultivator…'

He momentarily was lost in thought, unable to calculate his future even with this instinctive divination ability. He didn't dare actually use it on an Anarchic Divergent for fear of calamitous repercussions. However, he could more or less see what they were worth after shooting a glance, but he couldn't see through this Anarchic Divergent's final potential.

He was like a dark abyss, making him shiver as he recalled that strange sensation lurking in his Will. It was unlike anything he had ever seen, making him wonder what kind of existence he truly was.

Regardless, with his granddaughter in his embrace, his heart softened. With the Supremes somehow having taken interest in the Anarchic Divergent, he felt it was best to stay clear.

He continued to speak, "The State of Divine Possession- to be honest, shouldn't even be comprehendible to you as you haven't even reached the Empyrean Stage yet. After all, it is an Utmost Law. Only Empyreans and higher-stage cultivators could possibly come into the realm of Utmost Laws. Even then, not even one among billions of them would succeed in comprehending such a Law. If you comprehended one, becoming a powerful Exalt, yes, an Alpha Exalt, is as easy as flipping one's hand."

Turning his head, he carefully glanced at Davis and uttered, "Even becoming an Omega Exalt isn't a dream."

"…" Davis was a bit dumbfounded, finding himself excited as his heart stirred despite the exhaustion.

However, confusion also came with it.

"Phyletic Laws are mostly not limited by the Law Restrictions." The Guardian added, as though knowing his doubts, "Specifically, anything above Level Two Intent of Phyletic Laws doesn't get the acknowledgment of the heaven and earth energy. Some are even suppressed because they break the balance of the heaven and earth and ignore the cultivation stage, similar to how your Will performed a reversal on the charm spirit's Will."

"What? It ignores the cultivation stage?"

The Guardian shook his head, "It isn't to be taken literally. Your Will may be at Peak Exalt level, but it is useless since you don't know how to use it except to flaunt it and intimidate. Try using Level Three Obscure Intent of Heart Intent…" He scoffed.

"…" Davis was speechless. He had no soul force to spare. The last ten percent was just keeping him alive since the ninety percent was taken in one fell swoop.

It was like the wall that defended him from a potential backlash from the immense amount of energy he used in one go!

"You can't." The Guardian smugly nodded, wiping away Rioxys' tears, "Your soul force is too low in capacity. Utmost Laws are Laws that break the balance of the fabric of the universe; hence, those who comprehend these Laws are called Realm Breakers. As an Immortal Emperor Realm Breaker, you can ignore the cultivation stages within the Second Step when using your Utmost Law to deal a blow, even affecting Exalts."

"But in the end, your soul force is still insignificant to affect Exalts. Against them, your Will can only defend- no, retaliate after you have been provoked. Even amidst the Three Layers and the many Dimensions, not many in the Second Step can break your Will, but you can't do anything to them either. The charm spirit is naive enough to open up to you and allow your Will to possess hers, overwhelming her. You were lucky."

"I see…" Davis answered, having many of his doubts answered.

Right now, he realized that the Guardian was helping him consolidate his findings.

He realized even amongst the supreme geniuses he had faced or heard about, not a single one of them had comprehended Utmost Laws. There was no such news or even a rumor of it. Davis could tell that Immortal Emperors shouldn't even be privy to the term Utmost Laws, much less comprehend one.

The only one he knew was Tina with her Five Element Laws, but even she didn't dare fuse all energies yet. The energy she gathered from the Realm Core still hadn't filled her five-element seed. If a Realm Core couldn't fill it, then it goes to say how ridiculous her physique was. It was a potential Utmost Law Physique!

"Hmph, you know so many things already. The karmic burden I got was insignificant." The Guardian patted Rioxys Plume, made her smile, and then turned to look at him.

Cupping his hands, he bowed ever so lightly, "You have saved my granddaughter again. You have my utmost gratitude. For that, I will spare you, but I know that it isn't enough. I will grant you an additional reward. Speak, what do you want?"

Davis wanted to ask for the Treasury, but he felt it wasn't good to linger here any longer.

Having thwarted Grand Elder Catalyx's plans, he had no doubt the other party would be incensed.

Contemplating for a moment, he turned to look at Fairy Velvetmoon.

"If you don't mind, I want her refined true spirit essence. I have a cultivation manual that needs the Moon Allure Wraith Spirit's spiritline to be cultivated. However, I don't have the means to make her into a resource or even kill her."

"Alright." The Guardian didn't seem to have any hesitation. He personally didn't appear to be against it.

With a wave of his hand, Fairy Velvetmoon flew towards him like she was being pulled by an invisible force.

Despair crept into her face as she saw a giant cauldron appear. Before she could even look at Davis, she was thrown inside unceremoniously.

"Ah! Save-"

Her voice couldn't even be heard as it was abruptly cut off when the lid closed.

"As the Guardian, I have a lot of leeway in the formation, unlike those who want to use loopholes, but even I can't kill her here. We'll go to the Punishment Hall and make her confess her crimes before refining her." The Guardian suggested and was about to keep the cauldron back inside his life ring when his arm was grabbed.

"No…" Rioxys Plume's eyes teared up again.

"As much as I want to kill everyone who wanted to harm you, I'm not the one who wants her dead." The Guardian shook his head.

Rioxys Plume turned to look at Davis. She opened her mouth but was unable to form words as she also understood the despair he went through while trying to protect her.

"Guardian! How dare you lock up the younger generation of the Four Peaks and Thirteen Great Tribes in your Peak!? Release them!"

Outside, a furious voice resounded, sending a wave of tumultuous aura that flipped Davis's blood. He wobbled, nearly losing his consciousness.

However, using this chance, Rioxys Plume pounced onto him as though protecting him, but knelt and grabbed onto his leg, "Please spare her. She… really was my only friend here… I confirmed it with the Truth Sealing Talisman…!"

The Guardian and Davis both frowned, each for different things.

The Guardian's gaze roamed between the Archon outside and Rioxys Plume hugging Davis's legs, torn between the two things, while Davis, who had already decided to kill Fairy Velvetmoon without wasting time, was suddenly troubled.

Rioxys Plume had saved him quite a few times. How could he ignore her wishes, but his hatred for Fairy Velvetmoon was off the charts.

In fact, it was because of Fairy Velvetmoon that he was able to learn that Zenova's charm wasn't as offensive as he thought it was, since he already liked her. On the other hand, an unknown spirit trying to repeatedly charm him and even make him an eternal slave was simply courting death to the highest order!

How could he spare her!?

Davis's expression literally turned unsightly while Rioxys Plume begged him to spare her.

"That's a friend who was prepared- no, schemed to kill you…!" Davis growled softly as he couldn't bear to admonish her.

"…" Rioxys Plume had no words. She only cried helplessly as she begged for him to release her, pleading and groveling while she muttered that it was her fault that she was blind and didn't understand her friend's pain.

Davis's expression churned. What did Bylai teach her for her to be this sensitive?

However, this same sensitiveness was also what saved him from having to unleash Fallen Heaven at the Guardian.

On the other hand, the Guardian gritted his teeth, separated them for a moment, and then went to see the Archon in front of the gates of his peak.
