Chapter 4775  Back Inside The Fortress

Davis was led into the grand hall inside the main palace.

He exchanged pleasantries with them until he made it there and sat on the sofa, slumping like his bones had turned jelly. Immediately, Isabella appeared behind him and began massaging his shoulders.

"I'm glad you're back." Isabella said for the eighth time with a relieved smile, "I was so scared that you didn't come back for a whole year. Fortunately, you came back~"

Davis saw that Isabella was speechless with happiness, and she didn't know what to say other than repeat her words.

However, he saw the others give her strange looks.

He wondered what was up before he turned to gaze at Evelynn, who was sitting opposite him. Although her expression was full of smiles, there was a hint of confusion between her brows. He knew she likely sensed the strangeness in his soul, but didn't want to bring up the topic when all of them were present here.

'A big sister who is worried and accommodating as always…'

He inwardly shook his head before panning his gaze, "What's going on? Where are the others?"

Only Freya and Mira were seated by his side, holding his arms and even imitating Isabella as they massaged him. However, where were his other wives?

Evelynn gave a brief account of sending a few personnel to help Jiayi Crystalveil transport her goods, while Nadia's doppelgangers and the children's avatar have gone to search for other pathways to the True Immortal World. As for Shirley, Flamerose, Frostrose, Nadia's main body and Tia, they had gone back to the Lower Realms to get their people.

"It's Mingzhi we're talking about." Evelynn uttered, "As soon as she receives news that the secret realm will close within four to six months, she will spare no effort to be ready, making the family enter a state of readiness. As soon as Shirley exits the secret realm, they would know."

Davis nodded, not doubting Mingzhi's capabilities.

They had also discussed this matter many times before journeying to the secret realm, so it wasn't unwarranted, but the sudden scare about the closure was too much, even shocking Davis.

"Four to six months…" Davis heaved a long breath, knowing he must stay put in this time no matter what, or he could worsen it!

Even though he had expected this to happen, once it happened, he wanted to curse so badly.

"Seems like I came late." With these urgent matters, Davis threw the matters about Fairy Thunderblaze to the back of his mind and turned to look at Isabella.

"Isabella, deliver this ring to Stella and have her seal the Sanctuary within somehow. Ask her if it is possible, or our mass exodus would be easily noticed, and the Venerable Knights might make their move, believing it is their chance."

Davis handed over the Temporal Voidplane Ring to Isabella.

She looked at it with awe, already knowing what it was since Davis had explained it to them before during the auction. Regardless, she nodded heavily, knowing she had a mission to fulfill. Her eyes brimmed with focus, no longer just waiting for him with a helpless outlook.

"Isabella, why is your cultivation sealed by Evelynn's Sealing Hex?" Davis cast a weird look at her.

"It's nothing!" Isabella turned his head around and shook her head at Evelynn to not say it.

Evelynn nearly revealed it, but kept her mouth shut. She removed the Sealing Hex, allowing Isabella's cultivation to return.

"Master, your blood seems quite…" By his side, Mira quivered.

Even Freya kept throwing glances at his neck, occasionally licking her lips. The stronger the beast, the greater their appetite. The tastier the blood of the flesh before them, the more they were turned on with hunger.

"Don't eat me." Davis chuckled, "A lot of things happened. As a result, I became even more powerful."

Davis gave a brief account of his adventures, shocking them. Somehow, he avoided the topic of Fairy Thunderblaze while explaining the gist of it and minimizing his suffering, which left a lot of questions, but Evelynn wasn't having any of it.

She frowned, "Husband, why is your soul quite strange? There's something foreign inside of you."

Her words left Isabella, and the others narrowed their brows. Mira even sat two butts away.

"I'm quite familiar with the power of this nature that's similar to a hex. However, this isn't evil or filled with malice. However, it's obsessive, latching onto you with an intense ferocity. It's the type to smother one's Will and complete turn the victim into a love slave-"

She tapped the table in between them, veins popping over the back of her fair hand as she glared at him.

"Like the charm-hex I was developing…"

"…" Davis inwardly gulped.

"You've keenly avoided mentioning Fairy Thunderblaze as much as you can." Evelynn's bosoms heaved, "It's fine if you made love with her already, but there's something wrong with your soul. Allow me to investigate."

She nearly sat on the edge as though she was going to stand up and pounce on him if he ever made a strange move, causing Davis to smirk.

He was also curious what would happen if he played the charmed Davis, but he didn't want to worry his wives one bit.

With a stern voice, he said, "How foolish of you to expose it when you had the doubt. You lost your composure and put the others in danger, Evelynn."

Evelynn raised her hand and was sending her soul force to him in order to investigate, but his words made her tremble. It was true that she had lost her composure after trying to feel the foreign entity repeatedly with the connection she had with him, but the result was vague and told her that he was definitely charmed!

How could she not be terrified?

She didn't care about being an Empress, but losing Davis? That made her heart turn cold.

Davis leaned back, making himself comfortable, "It's true. I have been charmed."

His words hit Evelynn and Isabella like a lightning bolt, causing their heads to rumble.

"Not once, but twice."

He added an additional lightning bolt to their minds that made their expressions change.

"How dare she!?" Evelynn shrieked.

"Zenova, I will talk to her myself!" Isabella clenched her teeth.

"Hold on," Davis raised his hand, stopping them from reaching conclusions.

Then he told them about Fairy Thunderblaze, the Supremes, and why he had become vulnerable in front of her, and how she took advantage of him when he was out of energy.

"Kill."

"No mercy for her…"

Evelynn and Isabella commented, their voices trembling and their bosoms heaving.

Isabella continued, "We had thought she would become our sister sooner or later. After all, you have been out there with her for a year. I believed she would make a move on you, as I knew she was admittedly fascinated by you, but I never thought it would be this kind of move. How despicable…. I misjudged her…"

Isabella honestly became teary-eyed.

Davis's heart quivered as he could tell that Isabella felt betrayed by someone she could see eye to eye with and considered a real friend.

He inwardly sighed and continued, "There's more to this. Even though the charm managed to hold me, it was unable to embrace me. I had come out of it within minutes of her confessing her love, fealty, loyalty, and everything the world has to offer me that she could grasp."

"…" Evelynn and Isabella's wet eyes gleamed, their expressions flickering with confusion.

If it was as he said… then… had she really loved him and didn't want to just use him for how strong he was…?

Davis went on to explain how her charm allowed him to save himself from Fairy Velvetmoon's ambush during the events of the banquet in the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak up to the point where he found himself waking up and releasing Fairy Thunderblaze out of the Voidplane Temporal Ring so he could have her pave the path for their family to advance.
