Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4791 The Second Dark Apostle

Chapter 4791  The Second Dark Apostle

Dark Archbishop Cyprusio's calm countenance couldn't hold up to this individual, breaking into one of innate fear. He knew this person had the least resistance to make use of anything in the world to strive forward. For him to have descended to the Lower Realms as an avatar, he couldn't tell what he was thinking.

Surely, he would have no wish to help the Divine Emperor of Death or his family survive.

"It seems like the Heavenly Blight Hall is not respected. Should we kill them all?"

The black-robed silhouette walked out of the shadows and moved into the light. His voice revealed him to be a man, but his face was still draped in a spectral cloak as though he couldn't be seen.

"This… Second Dark Apostle, the leader heavily favors the rise of the Divine Emperor of Death, believing it will be of great assistance to us in battling Heaven's Warriors. To earn his favor, we must also help his family. This is non-negotiable for the Divine Emperor of Death from the probes we have made so far."

"Hmm."

The Second Dark Apostle nodded but then raised his hand, grasping towards Dark Archbishop Cyprusio.

"Then you die since you didn't instill them with enough fear and respect towards us."

"Second Dark Apostle! Spare me!"

Dark Archbishop Cyprusio was abruptly lifted up into the air, his neck held by something spectral and invisible. It felt like a hand but cold as chains, making him tremble incessantly as he felt his cultivation drained.

The terrifying thing was that his cultivation wasn't being drained slowly but quickly.

His cultivation rapidly dropped by three levels, falling to Level Six Autarch Stage before he was thrown toward the wall.

*Bang!~*

He smashed face-first against the wall with his whole body, feeling his bones break and his meridians rupture. Blood splattered as half his face caved in. He twitched ever so lightly before sliding off the ground.

Before he could say anything, the Second Dark Apostle had already disappeared.

His expression went unsightly as he expected another attack, but since it didn't appear, his expression went even more unsightly, wondering if he had gone to pick a fight with the ones who had just left.

=========

Mingzhi and Karyot were making their way back when they both paused mid-air, turning to look back.

"Stop following us and show yourself. Or should I force you to come out?"

The wind stilled as her voice echoed out.

Mingzhi's eyes narrowed as she focused on a particular point in the air.

There, a faint ripple echoed in space- no, light. The light wavered like a distortion before a spectral entity appeared amidst the gaze.

"Hehehehe!"

A strange cacophony of laughter erupted from him, "Impressive. You're not an ordinary Divergent to be able to see through my concealment. No wonder the Davis Family is highly infamous and nearly impenetrable in the Lower Realms."

"Yeah." Mingzhi sneered, "I knew you were hidden back there, and ignored you since you appeared weak like one of those assassins hidden in the background. So, why did you follow us?"

"…"

The spectral entity momentarily went silent, his gaze causing chills to spike through their spines.

Mingzhi and Karyot narrowed their eyes, and the latter moved forward, shielding her.

"Hoho, you wanna fight? Then I'll be your guest, Second Dark Apostle Tiaozen."

"You know me?" Second Dark Apostle Tiaozen's spectral form shifted in the space, blending with the background, making it hard to tell if he was there or was already moving.

Karyot kept a wide eye and secretly activated his spatial-wind physique to make rapid moves when necessary, "How could I not know? You're the mass murderer who caused plenty of realms to suffer in your pursuit of power. My seniors have clashed with you a few times. I'll fucking kill you without uttering a word if it weren't for the Davis Family, so mind your tongue when you speak."

"Interesting… not many have escaped my pursuit. Which sect are you from? Are you from the group of Divergents who are said to be Saintess Lunaria's disciples?"

"That's right." Karyot didn't hide.

There was nothing to hide since he knew they would've already been investigated ever since they had helped the Divine Emperor of Death during his Immortal Emperor Tribulation in the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm.

"Ah… those vermin, always barring my path and causing my plans to fail. It's a pity that we can't see eye to eye when we're both Divergents, heh! Right now, my business is with the Davis Family, so don't interfere. Don't be scared, I won't bite, hehe~"

A strange, ghastly laughter echoed from him.

Karyot turned to cast a glance at Mingzhi, and she nodded.

He thought for a moment before leaving, but decided to stay close so that he could react quickly to any ambushes.

"What are you here for? To declare war on my family?" Mingzhi asked with a faint smile.

"I would like to do that for your insolence, but the leader appears to be quite fond of the Divine Emperor of Death."

The spectral figure shrugged, "I'm more interested in knowing what makes you demand that even the leader should move according to your family's needs. Don't you think that's too arrogant when you're actually begging for help?"

"…"

Mingzhi's smile became more profound as she raised her arms and folded them, "Arrogant? I remember clearly stating that it is your leader's wish to move or not. If he moves, it's good. We'll owe him and his Heavenly Blight Hall a favor. If he doesn't, well, we'll act accordingly."

"Hmph! I'm saying that's arrogant to even expect! What gall do you have to force our leader into moving for your puny family?"

Mingzhi sighed, "You're not good at weaving diplomatic relations, are you? Poor Cyprusio. Makes one wonder how he kept the Heavenly Blight Hall floating when idiots like you descend and make it difficult for him to work."

"Wench, you dare to think I won't attack you?"

"What are you waiting for?" Mingzhi sneered, "You don't have balls? Did you lose it in the void while phasing through?"

"You're dead." The spectral figure's voice turned icy cold.

*Bzzz!~*

Abruptly, terrifying ghostly undulations spread across the skies, changing the color of the heaven and earth as dark clouds abruptly formed above them.

*Whoosh!~*

However, a fierce wind instantly sent all the clouds flying in all directions as the skies cleared. Rays of light from the Solar Reverence shone on them again.

The spectral figure froze as he sensed multiple Peak Empyrean undulations around him. Eight spatial gates opened from different directions, and a Peak Empyrean stepped out of each one of them with an amused and cold look on their face.

Both Karyot and the Second Dark Apostle were stunned as they saw the newcomers.

"Tsk, tsk… look at the audacity of some random from the Upper Realm." Soaren chuckled with a faint sneer, scarlet-golden flames erupting from him.

"The Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm is still our territory."

Fenren stepped out. He was covered in a resplendent verdant-gold light as he spread his hands, "Just because we're moving, you think you can come and threaten us? Shall we destroy your avatar and make you waste a ton of resources?"

"How lucky." Andiron Blackryst rubbed his temple, "He would've died if he had made a move just now."

From another spatial vortex, a golden-robed man stepped out with his right hand raised and his fist enclosed.

He had sword-like, sharp eyebrows, and his golden eyes were like a pair of golden stars. The spectral cloak directly came off, revealing the features of the Second Dark Apostle.

His skin was pale white like a ghost, his nose sharp, and his lips purple. Numerous purple veins covered his body. They glowed even under the sunlight, making him appear eerie. His expression was solemn as he gazed around, but he laughed suddenly.

"Hahaha! How fanciful. The Davis Family truly has many Divergents."

"Run, run like a dog. Or we're going to hunt you down." Drake cackled in response, his expression full of a mocking sneer.

"Hahaha!"

The Second Dark Apostle laughed loudly, but his expression turned increasingly unsightly. Even at this moment, he could feel thirteen senses lock onto him, and three of them were already at a state where they could harm him severely.

His gaze fell on a blue-white robed woman whose hand was on the hilt of her sword, his heart pounding fiercely as he felt the most danger from her.

He had a premonition that if he made a move that he wouldn't survive a single strike.

"I'm bait." Mingzhi flew a bit closer and shrugged, "Instead of Heaven's Warriors falling for it, you fell for it. What a waste of time and planning. Now, scram and don't ever come near our family again. We don't need your help. We need your leader's help. Don't ever think the likes of you can support the rise of our family. You're unworthy."

"…"

The Second Dark Apostle didn't say anything anymore. He glared at them fiercely with wide dark eyes. His iris was crimson and his sclera black, making him appear quite evil. He slowly receded into the void and left the space.
