Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4996 Vice Emporium Sovereign

Chapter 4996  Vice Emporium Sovereign

The sun was bright as hope despite the ominous sensation left by the scars of the Desolate Divergent's tribulation. It shone onto the city of massive commerce, encompassing it with a joyful atmosphere.

In the True Peak City, aside from those with fixed residency status, almost everyone was comprised of visiting merchants and foreign experts. They could apply to join their empire and earn considerably, as the True Peak Emporium never shied away from underpaying their forces and business magnets. But there was a significant process involved to join since the True Peak Emporium was already a major power.

Unless these people could prove why they were necessary, getting in was extremely hard.

Now that the reputation and wealth of the True Peak Emporium had soared by a few times after the sale and auction of the Primarch Grade resources, they inevitably attracted a large number of merchants and experts who wanted to ride their wave into supremacy.

However, this ultimately affected one power the most- the ruling power, the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm's Dawnbreaker Family!

"The esteemed Realm Master of our Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm has graced the Ceremonial Hall with his presence!"

As the voice resounded throughout the city, hundreds of millions of people instantly came to a halt, some gasping softly or hard. The hearts of many so-called experts skipped a beat.

Who was the Realm Master of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm?

A Primarch? A Supreme Primarch?

At least half the people who had gathered here were from high society and had access to an extreme amount of information. Plus, even the lowest cultivation level of the average visitor here was at the Sovereign Stage. But even among them, not all of them had access to the information of the stage called the Absolute Primarch!

Hence, they inevitably all thought the Realm Master was a Supreme Primarch whose prowess reached the realm of the next stage! A Hierarch!

The number of people who knew about the Hierarch Stage was extremely low, but the number of people who knew about the Absolute Primarch Stage was even lower. Hence, they inevitably thought the Realm Master had surpassed the likes of the Primarch Stage.

Such a being had visited! If this wasn't the highest honor for a person of this realm, they didn't know what was!

=========

Somewhere inside the Ceremonial Hall, a woman stood within a pavilion. It was a veiled chamber suffused with soft light and aromatic fragrance.

The maids moved around her in practiced movements, briefly drying her with a cloth without fuss, leaving her wet skin clear and radiant.

One of them took care of the crimson hair; their slender fingers wove through long strands, lifting and arranging them into an intricate, flowing style. Fine threads of silk held everything in place while delicate crystal ornaments were set one by one, exuding the aura of wealth.

At her face, another maid worked with precision, her hand tracing light arcs along the eyes and placing a subtle tint to the lips, nothing excessive and artificial, but refining the beauty that already belonged to her.

Then a few maids carried a jade green robe as if it were the most expensive treasure.

They dressed her carefully, aligning each fold so the lotus and phoenix patterns seamlessly flow across her form. The sash was tied, protective talismans fixed into place, and the long entourage was arranged behind her, beyond the veil curtain in the corridor.

As the final layer settled, the most trusted maid walked towards her and placed a headdress on her, a crown of branching crystal adorned with faintly glowing gems, practically screaming that she could be the richest woman in the world since they were all the finest Primarch Grade gems.

The woman had raised her head, looking into the mirror as she gazed at her reflection.

A faint smile on her lips emerged, full of confidence whiled filled with a regal composure and exuding an untouchable aura.

The maids stepped back at once, all bowing.

"All preparations are complete, Vice Emporium Sovereign~"

Jiayi Crystalveil stood up, giving one last look to her regal appearance while silently wishing she could've shown it to that person before turning to look back, her long robe effortlessly flowing with her.

"Then we proceed~"

Her voice was soft, melodious yet firm, exuding immense authority.

The veils parted, and she was about to board the palanquin when a resounding voice echoed.

"The esteemed Realm Master of our Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm has graced the Ceremonial Hall with his presence!"

The maids who followed Jiayi Crystalveil all froze in their steps, their pupils dilating.

When the most trusted maid raised her head to look at Jiayi Crystalveil with panic, she saw that her young mistress didn't even pause, flying straight to the palanquin and making herself comfortable with a calm face that said that she already expected this scenario.

"What's the wait?"

Her ever commanding voice jolted the maids out of their reverie before they hurriedly lined up by the sides of the palanquin before the procession began to move, carried by none but moved by an intricate propulsion formation that did not even lift a single skirt of a maid.

As they exited the corridor, numerous experts also landed by the side, actual Primarchs guarding the procession even within the Core Pavilion; the security was top-notch.

Guided by the silent procession and the unseen currents of power within the hall, Jiayi Crystalveil advanced toward the Sovereign Ascension Altar.

Jiayi Crystalveil's thoughts seemingly drifted off, not even caring about the Realm Master's visit, but the structure of the Ceremonial Hall that was decorated for her.

She recalled that the entire structure was built using pure transcendent crystals enclosed by a type of glass that restricted absorption. pillars that rose like frozen beams of dawn, the hall stretched vast enough to house tens of thousands without feeling crowded. Above, a vaulted ceiling of layered crystal panels refracted light into cascading auroras.

As for the floor, they were mirror-polished with white jade veined with liquid gold essence pure gained from Primarch Grade Ores. At the far end stood the Sovereign Ascension Altar, elevated upon nine ascending stairs, each step embedded with countless golden gems of increasing brilliance.

Seated within the palanquin and resting her face on her palm lightly, she couldn't help but feel quite amused since this was grander than the ceremony for the position of Emporium Sovereign, her father's position.

She could tell that her True Peak Emporium went all out, but could also see the underlying intricacies.

"The Heiress of the True Peak Emporium, Jiayi Crystalveil, has arrived at the Ceremonial Hall!"

As the palanquin drew near the Sovereign Ascension Altar, as it finally entered the Ceremonial Hall and the resounding echo of the announcer, she could hear the gasps and whispers of the crowd all awaiting to catch a glimpse of her finger.

She slightly glanced towards the audience, faintly wishing to catch a glimpse of his silhouette, but knew it wasn't possible, not even bothering to slightly lift the curtain veil of the palanquin.

Finally, the procession stopped, and the curtains parted.

Jiayi Crystalveil stepped out shortly, her figure seamlessly landing on the platform, and for a moment, the entire hall seemed to forget how to breathe.

To them, she was an absolute beauty who wore a ceremonial robe that could be considered a masterpiece. The connoisseurs were simply dumbfounded, and the women in the crowd couldn't help but feel some envy.

However, Jiayi Crystalveil's gaze wasn't on the crowd. She saw the decoration with a sweep of her head, filled with pride and acknowledgment that she had finally become something, even if it was just being pushed to the frontline, which wasn't something foreign to her.

As she swept her gaze, she saw the Realm Master of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm, a True Deity-like figure, but she didn't pause at all.

She completed a sweep of the decoration on the crowd's side before moving ahead, layers of flowing fabric cascading around her like a living river of light, each strand woven from threads that shimmered with faint runic inscriptions. The outer layer glowed with a soft crystalline sheen, reflecting the colors of the hall yet maintaining a presence entirely its own.

Patterns of blooming lotuses and ascending phoenixes were embroidered in threads of illusory energy, shifting subtly as though alive. Each movement she made caused those patterns to ripple, making her completely dazzling to the eyes of the beholder.

Some of their eyes glazed as though they had never seen such beauty.

Every step she took across the jade floor echoed softly, yet each echo carried the weight of wealth, causing them to hold their breaths, making them imagine what they could become if they could come under her business empire.

Jiayi Crystalveil moved towards the stairs of the altar.

The robe trailed behind her in a long, regal process, carried by several maids who moved with absolute precision. They followed her until the stairs before letting the robe go and kneeling with their heads touching the floor.

Jiayi Crystalveil raised her head to look at the throne on the Sovereign Ascension Altar.

Guided by the silent procession and the unseen currents of power within the hall, she unhesitatingly advanced.

Each made the hearts of people tremble, allowing them to know that she was truly the future authoritative figure of the True Peak Emporium who would be in control of vast amounts of wealth only second to the Emporium Sovereign but in essence, the first since most transactions are overseen by the Vice Emporium Sovereign and not the elusive Emporium Sovereign, the head, the Patriarch of the Crystalveil Family.

*Tap~* *Tap~* *Tap~*

The sound of footsteps echoed across the silent ceremonial hall before Jiayi Crystalveil turned around and paused, lifting her long robe off the ground before awaiting the final decree.

"Heavens bear witness, the Karmic Merchant of Fortune, Fairy Sinstar Fortune, Jiayi Crystalveil, has become the Vice Emporium Sovereign of the True Peak Emporium!"

As the majestic voice different than that of the announcer resounded out, shocking countless people as they thought it was none other than the elusive Emporium Sovereign, Jiayi Crystalveil sat on the throne, her gaze overlooking the crowd and even clashing with the Realm Master.

'Here I am, expecting the Celestial Transcendent to appear anytime, any moment for the past few days, so your presence doesn't even cause a ripple in my heart~'

She thought, her lips curling with confidence and arrogance.

At the same time-

'Interesting… this little girl doesn't fear me at all…'

The Virtuous Dawn Realm Master smiled ever so lightly, his Heart Intent active.
