Chapter 5050 Crimson Lotus Pavilion
Everyone around the fatty and the person suspected of being Realm Master Thousand Windblades began murmuring.
On a second look, they saw he really possessed white hair and other features that pointed him as sharing an identity with Realm Master Thousand Windblades.
The threatening projection the Divine Emperor of Death shared with nine Lower Realm Realm Masters was famous. It was preserved well and was copied enough times for the big shots of the Upper Realms to witness.
Many who were present here had also witnessed it, so they knew about a few frightening figures of the Desolate Divergent's Family.
Nonetheless, it was said that Realm Master Thousand Windblades killed his own sect people and left the Verdant Vale Sect and escaped from the Lower Realms altogether. The Heaven's Warriors have issued an arrest warrant for him. His crimes had all come to light one after another as a few people confessed to his evil deeds.
Why was such a figure, who was chased by the Divine Emperor of Death and Heaven's Warriors, here?
Wasn't he afraid that he would get arrested?
Realm Master Thousand Windblades got increasingly irritated, but he didn't retaliate immediately since his cultivation was way less than that of the other party.
However, he wasn't afraid of him since he had found his backer. He sneered. "So what? Do you think you're capable of facing the threat that brought about this miserable era?"
The fatty didn't seem shaken. He still looked at Thousand Windblades as though he was looking at a ghost.
"But I heard the Divine Emperor of Death wasn't even present at that time, and you got chased by the Realm Destroyer Calypsea and-"
Thousand Windblades nearly flew into a rage, but he heard the other party continue.
"-ugh, forget about the calamity. Aren't you wanted for severe crimes that even moved Heaven's Warriors to hunt you down? How are you walking about? Fellow cultivator, if you don't mind, teach me the method to get away scotfree."
Thousand Windblades's expression sank.
Was this fatty mentally retarded? Couldn't he see that he didn't like talking about this topic? Nonetheless, he felt this was a good time to slap their faces.
"Heh!" He sneered, "Do you think a mere Level One Primarch like me can flee from the Heaven's Warriors endlessly? Saint Riyal Mendez helped clear the misunderstanding, and after suffering some punishment, I was released."
He openly stated how he was valued by Saint Riyal Mendez with a loud voice, causing many to turn to look at him.
The factions all had their eyes on this scene, and the fatty finally started feeling some pressure.
If he made the wrong move, his Handsome Giant Consortium could become a casualty in the efforts of some lunatic trying to get into this fallen Realm Master's good graces.
"My dearest guests~"
At this moment, a lovely voice echoed as a pink-haired woman entered the scene.
She was a stunningly beautiful woman with a voluptuous frame, who entered the scene with a few men beyond her who appeared to be her bodyguards. Amazingly, their cultivations were high at the Level Five Primarch Stage. Nonetheless, the woman dominated the scene as she was dressed in a luxurious blue qipao that had half her cleavage visible because of an oval cut over the bosom.
She possessed smooth, fair skin, and her large breasts could barely be contained by the dress she wore. Her lips were crimson, and she possessed a fine hourglass figure that made the men who saw her feel quite thirsty as though they were parched.
She walked up to them and said with a faint smile behind her black veil.
"I do hope the reception has been to your liking thus far," The pink-haired woman said as she glided forward with the practiced grace.
Her voice was honey poured over silk, warm and sweet and completely in control of the room. The bodyguards behind her moved in perfect synchrony, saying nothing, their eyes scanning the crowd with the cold efficiency of men who had broken up far worse disputes than this one.
She positioned herself between Thousand Windblades and the fatty with a naturalness that made it seem entirely accidental, as though she had simply chosen that particular spot to stand for no reason at all. Her dark eyes swept across both men from behind her veil, and she offered them each a smile that managed to be simultaneously apologetic and reassuring.
"This humble one is Madam Yue Lingsha, the proprietress of the Crimson Lotus Pavilion, and every soul who steps through these doors is a treasured guest under my roof," She said, her tone carrying just enough weight to remind everyone listening that this was her establishment and her rules applied here.
However, her expression was quite aggrieved, "I would be deeply grieved if any unpleasantness were to mar what promises to be a most prosperous gathering for all parties involved."
She turned her gaze to Thousand Windblades first, dipping her head in a shallow bow that was respectful without being subservient, "This one has naturally heard of the great Saint Riyal Mendez and the distinguished company he keeps. To have someone of your standing grace the Crimson Lotus Pavilion is truly an honor that this humble proprietress does not take lightly."
Thousand Windblades visibly unclenched, the flattery doing its work the way flattery always did on men who were acutely aware of their own status and desperate for others to acknowledge it.
Then she turned to the fatty with the same measured warmth, gesturing with a slender hand adorned with jade rings. "And this one is equally delighted to receive the Handsome Giant Consortium within these walls. Your organization's reputation for fair dealings precedes you across multiple cities, and I would hate for any misunderstanding to cast even the faintest shadow over our evening together."
Two of her attendants appeared from seemingly nowhere, each carrying a tray with jade cups filled with a pale golden liquid that shimmered faintly under the pavilion's lights. The fragrance that drifted from the wine was immediately noticeable, something floral and ancient and deeply calming, the kind of scent that loosened the grip of anger before a man even realized it was happening.
"The Tranquil Dawn Ancient Wine," Madam Yue Lingsha announced with a soft smile, gesturing for both men to accept a cup each, "Aged for three million years in a sealed pocket world and brewed from spirit blossoms that bloom only once every generation. It is not something this one offers to just anyone, and I do hope you will accept it as a gesture of sincere welcome from the Crimson Lotus Pavilion."
The fatty stared at the cup for a moment before his round face cracked into a grin as wide and unguarded as a child receiving a gift. He accepted the wine with both hands, which appeared to be the proper gesture, and gave Madam Yue Lingsha a theatrical bow that jostled his funnily big frame, "Three million years, you say? Then this fat one would be committing a grave sin against heaven and earth if he refused such generosity."
Thousand Windblades took his own cup more slowly, studying the liquid before he looked up at the proprietress with narrowed eyes. She met his gaze with perfect serenity, and he found, somewhat against his will, that the coiled tension in his chest had already begun to loosen without him consciously deciding it should.
He then downed it into his mouth, feeling it hit the spot and calming his nerves.
"Many thanks for giving me face, my distinguished guests. Please don't stand. Make yourselves comfortable."
She gestured them to a seating place as though everything was fine.
"Hmph."
Thousand Windblades harrumphed and went to the first floor.
On the other hand, the fatty followed the proprietress with a charmed look.
