Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5165: A Warrior’s Fury

Chapter 5165: A Warrior’s Fury

"S-S-Saint... what should we do?" Steward Belmont and the First Madam asked in a panic.

"Hss-aaa..."

Saint Riyal Mendez hissed with a bit of pain and annoyance.

His plans to steal First Madam were ruined. There was no fun if the woman already knew that the husband allowed this affair. Sure, there was some fun in that as well, but he became tired of that long ago, as such a play was weak. He only wanted to devour the flesh while fooling all parties involved.

"What can we do other than come clean?" He sighed, "Perhaps I’m no match for the City Lord in this state. He would only need to poison me slightly to cause my death. Are you two perhaps sent to poison me?"

"No!" Steward Belmont instantly denied as he waved his hand, "How can that be!? I was only here because I was told to escort the First Madam to your eminence."

Saint Riyal Mendez smiled as he turned to look at the First Madam.

"What about you, my love?"

The First Madam quivered ever so lightly, her limpid eyes turning misty, "I’m here because I felt we had a genuine connection after we exchanged promises. How could I bear to poison you? In fact, I’ll poison myself because I’m pregnant with the Steward’s child. I’ll abort in front of you to prove my devotion right now."

"What...? You’re pregnant with my child?" Steward Belmont turned to look at the First Madam in shock.

"Yes." The First Madam’s expression quivered before she cast a gaze at him, "Belmont, I regret falling for your cheap flirtations and becoming vulnerable to you. Since Kain already knows about our affair, I suppose both of us would be killed if we returned without accepting the Saint’s trust. However, I have no need for such devotion to the City Lord. I belong to the Saint and will become a part of his household even if I become a mere maid serving him."

"This is my devotion towards you."

First Madam knelt towards the Saint as she took an abortion pill and was about to swallow it when it was slapped out of her hand.

"How dare you!?" Steward Belmont roared in rage.

He truly loved this woman, but she betrayed him like this.

"Guards, restrain him." The Saint said calmly, but amusement filled his eyes.

The bodyguards, hidden in the shadows, quickly appeared behind the Steward and restrained him as they made him kneel.

"Yudeia, why are you doing this...?" Steward Belmont’s lips quivered, "Have you forgotten about our promise?"

"I cannot be with someone who dares to betray their master. The Saint is the only person whom I dare to follow because of my past. I am a married woman, but I am not barren. If the Kain can’t give me a child, then it is time I moved on. I will apply for divorce, and his evil deeds, which you have disclosed to me, will also be known by the world. He is no longer the person I loved."

"You-"

"Well said." The Saint sat up as his body trembled, but right now even his thrashed third leg showed signs of reviving as it tried to break through the bandages.

If it weren’t for his injuries, he might’ve jumped on Yudeia right away.

However, he held himself back and reached out his hand.

"Prove your loyalty to me. Use this abortion pill."

"I thank your eminence for your trust."

Yudeia received the pill in her palms before she swallowed it without hesitation.

"..."

The Saint’s eyes gleamed with some surprise. It wasn’t an act, but she was really willing to take the abortion pill, making him nearly consider whether he should take her as his maid. She was indeed adorable.

"No-" Steward Belmont was about to raise his voice, but the bodyguards shut his mouth.

He could only watch with a look of despair.

*Pui!~*

Yudeia spat out a mouthful of blood as her expression turned pale. Her body quivered from the aftermath of the abortion pill clearing out the vestiges in her womb, making her experience pain and discomfort reach a high level.

"Come here. Let me help you."

The Saint sighed lightly. He really didn’t expect Yudeia to prove herself this way.

He cursed those two experts for causing these injuries. Otherwise, he felt like he would’ve had one of the best times of his life.

Yudeia clutched her stomach as she stood up.

But at this moment, he saw Yudeia run out of the chamber, making him blink.

He instantly realized she was going to flush out the remains of the barely formed baby. With a twisted smile, he turned to look at the Steward.

"What more do you need to see? She was never yours to begin with. She is mine."

He cackled with a strange laughter filled with pain before he gestured for the guards to throw him out.

The guards threw him out without asking a single question, faithfully following the Saint’s commands since they failed to protect him previously. They had no idea what kind of punishments they would face when the Hexadra Clan’s higher forces appeared, so they had to please him a lot in order to survive.

Steward Belmont could not even offer a word.

He was pained by the betrayal and scared for his life. He dared not confront the Saint, as he knew he might lose his life here. However, he didn’t dare to return to the City Lord either, knowing he would be screwed if he lost both the Saint and the First Madam.

He had to make a stand.

He knew begging the Saint wouldn’t work, but he couldn’t think of anything else either.

But at this moment-

"Save me!~"

An anguished cry pierced through the eve of dawn, "Someone save me~"

It instantly stunned him and Saint Riyal Mendez as they recognized this voice.

"The Saint is trying to kill our baby by force-feeding me poison medicine~~~"

Her voice cracked with agony as she fell to the ground and screamed with despair.

"What the...?"

The Saint uttered in disbelief as he used a guard to prop himself up and went to look outside. He was unable to use soul sense properly because his soul meridian on the forehead was badly hurt. When he limped and came to look outside, her saw a kneeling Yudeia who left a trail of blood as she tried to crawl towards the exit.

He couldn’t understand. What was the First Madam trying to play here?

She was offending all three men? He never guessed she was devious, and, according to his own appraisal, she was just a lamb who wanted to be loved and embraced into having a child, but for him, she had abandoned the City Lord, abandoned the Steward, and finally chose him.

Did she finally feel regret for killing her own child? But why did she have to frame him for it when she was the one who chose to take it in the first place?

He instantly felt City Lord Kain was behind this conspiracy.

’I see... You fucker, you acted as my brother but wanted to kill me using this lame excuse and obtain my Divine Techniques?’

"Ahaha..." Saint Riyal Mendez cackled in a strange tone.

Whom had he not seen scheme against him to obtain his Divine Technique while he did his awesome social service of uniting couples and strengthening their bond?

At this moment, the Steward who was thrown into the courtyard took out a sword and pointed at her.

"First Madam, you dared to betray City Lord Kain even though he treated you so well as his first wife. Don’t think you can leave this place alive!"

Yudeia froze and turned to look at him with hateful eyes, "Steward Belmont, you swindled me out of marriage and now claim that I betrayed the City Lord!? You betrayed the City Lord! You betrayed the person you swore to follow and dragged me into it!"

"...!"

Steward Belmont felt his heart rend.

He had indeed betrayed his lord that he swore to follow, but he believed he had his own righteous reasons for it. The City Lord had become just too evil! The City Lord was unfit for Yudeia, who was prim and proper like an innocent flower. It took him hundreds of years before he could make her look his way!

But right now, there was no shadow of that person. Instead, all he could see was a way for him to save himself.

He raised his sword and rushed at her.

"You shameless wench, nothing you say will save you! Prepare to die along with your demon spawn!"

His heart churned with pain as he called his own child a demon spawn.

But with Yudeia bleeding like this, there was no way the child survived.

He believed that as long as he could kill her here and expose her affair with the Saint, even if he didn’t die, he would’ve saved the City Lord’s reputation. Then, he might repay the City Lord and even have a chance to survive.

The Saint also looked on with a cold gaze, wondering if these two disloyal lovers could kill each other. He was also waiting for the City Lord to make his appearance so he could confront him and end this matter once and for all.

The Saint and the Steward both guessed the same thing. The City Lord was hiding here somewhere.

"Stop!"

*Bzzz!~*

But as the Steward’s sword got closer to Yudeia, a tremendous pressure abruptly fell on all of them, stopping them in place.

"This is...!"

The Steward instantly recognized this aura.

It was from Venerable Knight Lussandra!

An arrow streaked past the skies, and a fairy with two pairs of verdant wings descended, her speed insane. She had used spatial teleportation with the special arrow as the mark to instantly appear above them!

It was a new technique she learned based on her previous mistake in failing to hunt the Divine Emperor of Death.

She descended with a cold expression behind her veil. She glanced at the woman and the blood dripping out of her before she gazed at the Saint, her gaze extremely cold.

"You- deserve- to die!"

"Whoa, Venerable Knight, you’re being played! That woman is lying! She took that abortion pill herself!"

But as the Saint spoke, he didn’t realize that his head was already flying into the air.

Venerable Knight Lussandra appeared by his side with a sword in her hand.

Her blade was so clean that she didn’t harm his soul when she beheaded him. Instead, she caught his head by the hair and forcefully used soul search on him, but it was suddenly interrupted by a soul protector manifesting out from his soul.

"Damned Heaven’s Warrior, you are insane!"

A black-robed man manifested out of thin air by the severed head’s side, but he was instantly pushed back by a tremendous wind force.

"Malzor Hexadra, you want to guard such scum? A pity, you cannot save him today." Venerable Knight Lussandra said coldly.

The bodyguards were filled with horror at the sight of the Saint being beheaded, but seeing that Realm Master Malzor Hexadra was here, they were filled with courage as they moved to surround her.

"Ah- aaah!"

*Bang!~*

The Saint barely managed to realize that he was beheaded before screaming out loud when Venerable Knight Lussandra simply made his head explode, and tried to retrieve his soul, but the defensive artifact on his body instantly turned into a sealing space as it absorbed the Saint’s soul.

All of the people in the vicinity were forcefully pulled into it.

Venerable Knight Lussandra had quickly thrown the soul artifact away and tried to retreat and save Yudeia, but she saw that the Steward had beheaded her with a crazed and crying laughter, causing her to wave her hand and smash him to death as a whirlwind of wind cannons struck him.

Her expression grew livid. In this short week, she felt like all her discipline had vanished into thin air as she had been enraged quite a few times.

She turned her gaze to Realm Master Malzor Hexadra as she withstood the pull and looked at him with a hateful gaze, "You’re next. Don’t think the title of Realm Master can protect you from me. I will kill you even if I have to become a fallen Heaven’s Warrior."

"You crazy bitch! Don’t think you can go too far just because you have the Supreme One behind you! Remember, you forced me! Take this!"

Realm Master Malzor Hexadra roared before he attacked Venerable Knight Lussandra and dispersed his karmic descent.

It was unknown what he planned to do next, much less if he dispersed due to a lack of energy or intentionally.
