Chapter 1638 One Condition
"Hey, you with the weird scent!"
A voice suddenly called out to Yuan.
Yuan turned toward the source of the voice, spotting a young lady with long crimson hair, amber-colored eyes, and fierce facial features.
"About time someone shows up," Yuan mumbled after seeing this young Phoenix.
"Who the hell are you? And why are you causing a scene in our territory?" the young lady questioned, seemingly unaware that Yuan was a human.
It was well known that humans couldn't use their powers in the Primal Expanse, and the fact that no human had appeared in their world for millions of years left the young lady unaware of Yuan's true identity.
When the powerhouses realized who this young lady was, they began panicking.
"What the hell is she doing over there?!"
"We need to intervene before that human steals her Blood Essence!"
Meanwhile, Yuan faced the young lady and spoke, "I have some business with the Primordial Phoenix."
The young lady frowned and said, "The Primordial Phoenix isn't someone you can meet just because."
"Then how can I meet them?"
The young lady narrowed her eyes and said, "First and foremost, you must identify yourself. What bloodline do you have? I am not familiar with your scent. Also, we need to know your reason for seeking out the Primordial Phoenix."
"I'm Yuan, a human, and I need the Primordial Phoenix's help with something."
"Huh? A human?" The young lady's eyes widened with surprise after hearing such an unexpected answer.
"To be messing with me… you obviously don't care about meeting the Primordial Phoenix," she sneered in disdain.
"Why would I be messing with you? Can't you tell by my scent? There's a reason the Primals have been swarming me."
"..."
The young lady was speechless.
At that moment, two more figures appeared: a middle-aged man and a woman, both exuding an aura equivalent to a cultivator at the God Ascension realm. As soon as they arrived, they positioned themselves in front of the young lady, as if shielding her with their bodies.
"Seniors? Why are you here?" The young lady was surprised by the appearance of these two powerhouses.
"We should be asking you that! Why did you come here when we told everyone to remain in their home?!"
"You did? I didn't get the word." The young lady shrugged.
"Anyway, I came here because I noticed a weird scent coming from this guy. He claims to be a human, but I don't believe him."
The two powerhouses turned to look at Yuan with deep frowns on their faces.
"What is your relationship with the Primal Monarch?" The woman asked in a nervous tone.
"What? The Primal Monarch?" The young lady's eyes widened.
"He's my adoptive father." Yuan calmly responded.
"?!?!"
"The Primal Monarch adopted a human?!" The middle-aged man exclaimed, his face filled with disbelief.
"Then are you here on behalf of the Primal Monarch?" The woman continued to ask.
He shook his head, "No, I came here because I personally have business with the Primordial Phoenix."
"What sort of business?" Yuan retrieved Feng Yuxiang's egg and said, "I was told that they would be able to help my friend here."
The Phoenixes before him trembled, their faces filled with shock when they saw the egg in Yuan's grasp.
"T-that is…! Where the hell did you get that?!" The young lady cried out loud.
"That shell! It can't be…!" The middle-aged man swallowed nervously.
"W-we must notify Her Majesty immediately!" The woman exclaimed.
Yuan raised an eyebrow at their reaction and asked, "Does that mean I get to meet the Primordial Phoenix?"
However, before the Phoenixes could respond, Yuan suddenly felt a strong, overwhelming pressure appear out of nowhere.
Yuan tilted his head upward to see a massive, majestic Phoenix hovering above them.
When the Phoenixes noticed this newcomer, they immediately lowered their heads and greeted it, "We greet Your Majesty!"
"The Primordial Phoenix…?" Yuan recognized the Primordial Phoenix's appearance since she looked exactly like Feng Yuming in her beast form.
In the next moment, the Primordial Phoenix began to shrink, transforming into the form of a human.
The Primordial Phoenix took the form of a stunning woman, tall and slender, with long, fiery red hair cascading down her back, nearly reaching her feet. Her presence radiated a majestic aura, one that commanded respect, like that of an empress.
'She looks just like Feng Yuming…'
Yuan was startled by how closely this Primordial Phoenix resembled Feng Yuming. Yet, it was clear that she wasn't Feng Yuming, but another distinct Primordial Phoenix.
The Primordial Phoenix descended gracefully, halting just before Yuan, her sharp gaze locking onto the egg in his hands. After a brief, tense silence, she shifted her eyes to Yuan and asked in a calm, yet commanding tone, "Who are you?"
"I'm Yuan, a human from the human world."
"What is your relationship with the one inside this shell?"
"We're companions."
"Then you're not much of a companion, letting her end up in such a state," the Primordial Phoenix remarked, her tone laced with disdain.
Yuan narrowed his eyes and said, "You don't even know what happened."
"That's irrelevant."
"Whatever. I'm not here to argue but to see if you can heal her."
The Primordial Phoenix looked at the egg and said, "Of course, I can heal her. However, why should I do that for you? Did you think I would be willing to heal her just because she's a Phoenix?"
"I was hopeful, but if you're unwilling to heal her, just let me know so I can stop wasting my time here."
"How dare you speak to Her Majesty in such a tone! Even the Primal Monarch addresses her with respect!" the middle-aged man shouted, his voice brimming with anger.
The Primordial Phoenix narrowed her eyes at him.
After a brief silence, she spoke, her voice calm yet firm, "I am willing to heal her... but only under one condition: you must leave her with us in the Eternal Phoenix Domain."
Yuan frowned after hearing about her condition. "Are you serious?" "Did it sound like I was joking?" the Primordial Phoenix replied, her voice cold and unwavering.
