Yuan’s progress did not slow down after refining half of Shiva’s Essence. If anything, it increased, and after another three days, Yuan completely absorbed every last drop of liquid in the pond.

After being freed from the seal, Shiva instantly shot toward Mu Xuelian, who was sitting on the ice bed.

"What are you doing?!" Yuan cried out.

But his body, drained and paralyzed from pushing Eternal Essence to its very limit, refused to move. Helpless, he could only watch as Shiva slipped into Mu Xuelian’s body.

Mu Xuelian’s body stiffened for a brief moment before her eyes began to glow.

"Relax, I am not going to hurt this girl," Shiva said.

"Then what are you doing?"

"It’s not like I can wander around without a body," she explained. "Until I regain my body, I will have to use this girl’s body as my own. That being said, it’s not like I will take complete control. I will only take control when necessary, as my essence puts too much of a burden on her body."

"What are you going to do now that you’re free from the seal? Leave the Nine Heavens to find your body? Something else entirely?" Yuan asked her a moment later.

"As much as I want to start looking for my body immediately, I don’t know where to begin. The Eternals who sealed me have definitely hidden my body somewhere, and I doubt I will ever find it by wandering."

"My original plan was to find another Eternal who could help me, but I have changed my mind."

Shiva jumped from the ice bed and landed right in front of Yuan.

"I’m very intrigued with your existence, and I’m confident that if I follow you, I’ll eventually encounter Shura or another Eternal, so that’s what I am going to do."

"You’re going to follow me...?" Yuan felt a headache forming the instant he heard those words. He wanted to refuse, yet deep down he knew that Shiva wasn’t asking.

"Why do you seem dissatisfied? You’re going to have a god by your side. You should feel honored," Shiva sneered.

"..."

Although he didn’t want to admit it, it would definitely benefit him to have an Eternal by his side. After all, he still had a lot of questions about their existence. Moreover, he could keep an eye on her.

’If she’s by my side, I won’t have to constantly worry about an Eternal roaming the Nine Heavens...’ he sighed inwardly.

Furthermore, Mu Xuelian was a cultivator at the 3rd level of God Ascension. Her power could come in handy.

"So, what do you say?" Shiva asked.

Shiva suddenly placed a hand on his chest and closed her eyes.

"Now that I am free, I can inspect your body properly," she said a moment later. "You indeed have the Eternal Constitution, but it’s not complete. I don’t want to owe a human any debt, so I will help you complete it."
