Chapter 2276 Sparring With Kulas

Chapter 2276  Sparring With Kulas

Kulas jumped to the center of the platform and beckoned Tian Yang, "Don't tell me you're afraid of losing?"

Tian Yang smiled at his provocation and also flew to the center of the platform.

"Don't cry when I beat you," he said.

"Hahaha! Not only is my physique superior, but so is my cultivation!" Kulas released his aura, and his True Immortal cultivation base surged outward like a massive tidal wave. Yet, the water around them remained still, almost as if they were simply an illusion.

"I'd be very surprised if you could hurt me, much less defeat me!" "We'll find out soon enough."

The atmosphere grew heavy as both of them fell silent.

In the next instant, their figures vanished, only to collide a heartbeat later, unleashing a powerful ripple that swept across the entire world.

"Oh? Not bad," remarked Kulas when Tian Yang wasn't immediately flung away. "Most can't even handle this."

"Well, I'm not like most," Tian Yang calmly responded with a smile.

"Of course not. Would you be here if you weren't special?" Kulas laughed out loud as they continued to exchange blows with each other, using nothing but their physiques.

The two gradually increased their strength with each blow, and although Tian Yang managed to endure for a while, Kulas inevitably overpowered him.

"I'm impressed—shocked, even," Kulas said suddenly. "You forced me to use sixty percent of my full strength. Out of my one hundred and one children, only five can manage that. And you're just a human with an ordinary physique."

"Have you forgotten who taught you the Great Mammoth Body Refinement technique? Although I am nowhere near your level, I have trained this technique quite extensively over the years since it's the only worthy body refining technique that I know."

"That makes sense. But are you sure you didn't do it to satisfy your partner?" Kulas chuckled.

Ren Xia's ears twitched at Kulas' words.

"So you can use it to enhance that!" she exclaimed.

Kulas looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"What? Don't tell me you've never used it on her? You have no idea what you're missing out on."

Tian Yang sighed, "Do you want to fight, or would you rather talk about nonsense? I don't have the energy to do both."

"Alright, alright." Kulas chuckled a little before putting on a serious face again.

"Do you need more time to warm up?" he then asked.

"No, do you?"

"Then let's fight seriously!"

Their subsequent collision was no longer a contest of physique alone, and they began drawing upon their martial techniques.

Tian Yang shifted fluidly between countless styles while Kulas remained steadfast, using only his fist techniques.

Kulas hadn't always been a fist-fighter. Once, he wielded a sword. But every technique he'd learned with it had come from the family he now despised. For that reason, he vowed never to draw a blade again.

Another reason was simple pride. He could not bring himself to rely on a weapon that was not his own flesh. Among Body Refiners, this was common; they took immense pride in their physiques and used their bodies as their primary weapons. It demonstrated both their hard work and their confidence.

As the fight dragged on, Kulas, who'd been so confident in his abilities, began to feel pressure mounting against him. The sensation baffled him. He possessed a superior physique and higher cultivation, and only minutes ago, he had overwhelmed Tian Yang with a little more than half his strength.

But now, he found himself barely keeping up with Tian Yang's movements, as though he were getting slower.

"What's wrong? You're sweating pretty heavily there." Tian Yang suddenly poked at him.

"This is normal!" Tian Yang smiled faintly.

"You're incredibly strong, Kulas—no one can deny that. But you don't know how to use that strength. At the moment, you fight like a wild beast. Your moves are simple and predictable. You depend too heavily on brute force."

"Are you seriously lecturing me?!" Kulas exclaimed, looking utterly speechless.

"This is why we're sparring, isn't it?" Tian Yang replied calmly. "To expose each other's flaws and improve."

After some time, Kulas collapsed onto the platform, a bewildered look frozen on his face.

"I… lost?" he murmured in a daze.

He had no serious injuries, and Tian Yang's attacks had barely hurt him, yet somehow, he had still been defeated.

"You lack experience, Kulas," Tian Yang said as he walked toward him.

"You've probably defeated most—if not all—of your opponents with sheer, overwhelming strength, so you never needed to rely on proper technique. But I fought the Immortal Clans. Did you really think I defeated them through brute force alone? Not to mention that I have hundreds of years of real experience while you're secluded in this place. When was the last time you were in a life-or-death situation?"

"..."

Kulas was left speechless, partly from shock and partly because he had no rebuttal.

Despite his overwhelming strength, he undeniably lacked experience. The last time he had truly fought was during his early days, when he returned to the Desolate Continent and had to fight to prove his strength.

In recent years, he had devoted the majority of his time to governing the continent from his throne room. The rare moments he could spare for battle were limited to sparring sessions with his children or his soldiers.

In contrast to Tian Yang, who fought nearly every day at the risk of his life, the disparity between them was as great as that between heaven and earth.

After a moment of silence, Kulas suddenly burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! You're truly amazing, Tian Yang!" he abruptly declared.

"As expected of my sworn brother! I'm truly glad to have someone like you as a sparring partner starting now!"

He sat up and continued, "Alright, as promised, I'll introduce the expert who created this world for me. Hell, I'll even help you make your own."

"Thanks," replied Tian Yang as he extended an arm to help Kulas up.
