"That’s it... That’s the most I can do for him," Mu Xuelian said as she collapsed backward onto the ground, landing on her buttocks in complete exhaustion.

Zi Xuan narrowed her eyes at Yuan, whose condition had clearly improved after receiving some of Mu Xuelian’s longevity.

Although he no longer resembled a dying old man, his skin remained wrinkled, while his body was still sickly pale and frighteningly thin, almost like a living skeleton.

"I have given him as much longevity as I can right now, but he’s still in a dangerous situation," Mu Xuelian then said.

"This is... more than... enough... Thank you..." Yuan said in a weak voice.

Mu Xuelian took a moment to catch her breath before helping Yuan into a lotus position.

Once seated, Yuan slowly closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

He began circulating the spiritual energy within his body, gradually recovering a portion of his strength. However, no matter how much he cultivated, there was only so much vitality he could regain through spiritual energy alone. What he truly lacked was longevity.

A few hours later, Yuan opened his eyes and said to Mu Xuelian, "Can you bring me outside of this world and into the Primordial Chaos?"

"What are you planning on doing?" she asked with raised eyebrows. "There’s nothing but beasts out there."

"I need them to replenish my longevity," he responded.

"Is that so?"

Without asking any further questions, Mu Xuelian lifted Yuan with her spiritual energy and carried him outside.

The moment they stepped back into the Primordial Chaos, several powerful magical beasts immediately sensed their presence and began approaching from multiple directions.

"Do you need protection?" Mu Xuelian asked in a calm voice, as though the approaching magical beasts were of no concern to her.

"No," Yuan replied. "However, I will need your help. After I use this technique, I’ll probably become too weak to even move."

Mu Xuelian silently nodded and watched attentively, waiting to see what Yuan intended to do.

Before long, the magical beasts arrived and immediately locked onto Yuan, whose weakened state made him appear to be the easiest prey among them.

However, before the magical beasts could even approach him, an ominous aura suddenly erupted from Yuan’s body.

In the very next moment, every magical beast charging toward them froze midair, as though time itself had suddenly stopped around them.

<Forbidden Blood Extraction!>

Yuan had just used Forbidden Blood Extraction to forcibly extract the Blood Essence from the magical beasts.

Since Blood Essence was essentially a magical beast’s refined life force, it could be used to help replenish the longevity he had lost.

"Can you collect their Blood Essence and feed it to me?" Yuan weakly said to Mu Xuelian.

Still somewhat dazed by what she had just witnessed, Mu Xuelian silently nodded before moving to retrieve the Blood Essence.

"How am I supposed to feed these to you?" Mu Xuelian asked after gathering all of the Blood Essence.

She examined them with curiosity, as each one resembled a tiny crimson crystal radiating pure vitality.

Yuan silently opened his mouth, indicating that she should feed them to him directly.

Without saying anything further, Mu Xuelian began placing the Blood Essence into his mouth one crystal at a time.

The moment the Blood Essence touched Yuan’s tongue, it instantly melted away, dissolving into pure energy that disappeared into his body.

Rather than refining the Blood Essence into spiritual energy like most would do, Yuan directly converted it into vitality to replenish his lost longevity.

Although each Blood Essence restored only a few years of life, it was still enough for him to recover sufficient strength to move on his own once again.

And while Blood Essence could be consumed directly, most people preferred using it to refine longevity pills instead, as doing so was far more efficient and allowed them to extract significantly more vitality from it.

However, since Yuan essentially had an unlimited supply available to him, he could not care less about such inefficiencies.

"Thanks a lot. I should be fine for now," Yuan said as he slowly stood up and dusted off his clothes.

"What kind of technique was that?" Mu Xuelian suddenly asked.

"I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you," Yuan replied with a serious expression on his face, completely catching Mu Xuelian off guard.

A moment later, he casually added, "I’m joking."

"..."

"You can head back for now. I’ll return after I restore a bit more of my longevity," Yuan said before flying away to hunt more magical beasts.

Once Yuan disappeared into the distance, Shiva quietly took control of Mu Xuelian’s body and silently stared in the direction he had gone.

"That power..." Shiva muttered with a contemplative look on her face.

It felt strangely familiar to her, as though she had encountered something similar somewhere in the distant past, yet for some reason, she could not remember where.

Two days later, Yuan returned to Tian Qiyuan’s world, looking completely refreshed. However, his complexion still appeared slightly pale.

"How much longevity did you recover?" Mu Xuelian asked.

"A few thousand years," he calmly replied. "It’s not much, but it’s more than enough for now. I’ll properly recover my longevity later."

"Lord Shiva asked when you plan to cultivate the technique," Mu Xuelian said.

"I’ve been going through its contents while hunting magical beasts over the past two days, but I still can’t understand it well enough to begin cultivating it," Yuan replied.

"That being said, I’ve understood enough of it to know its origin."

Yuan narrowed his eyes at Mu Xuelian—or rather, at Shiva residing within her—and continued, "This cultivation technique... was it created by the Absolute Being?"

Shiva took control of Mu Xuelian’s body before calmly responding, "That’s correct. This cultivation method, used by every single Eternals at one point, was created by the Absolute Being."
