“I have solved the formation,” I declared loudly, shocking all the people around the dome.
Everyone looked at not just High and Peak Sovereign, but also those below, who were watching from the distance.
“Don’t fool around. You have come less than two days ago; how can you solve the formation? Not to mention, do you even have the ability to solve it?” asked the Red Bear Beastman, wearing an organization’s badge.
He is angry, and if he hadn’t sensed the same aura of Peak Sovereign from me; he would have attacked me.
“You can’t solve it. Doesn’t mean I can’t solve it,” I taunted.
“You bastard!” it cursed loud and came at me with aura blazing. As it reached me, it attacked me with its red halberd.
CLANG!
Our weapons clashed, and his eyes widened as he begins to take steps back, looking at me with surprise.
“I had visited a place where I found near complete answer key to this formation.” I clarified, and they finally looked like they believe me.
The formation is too hard to solve in less than two days for me. I took four and half days and had the help of four clones; not to mention the data, which cut days or even weeks.
“What are you waiting for, open the formation?” said a silver skin man with three eyes and I smile.
“Sure, just provide me with powerful Earth Sovereign grade formation ink. It would be great if it is at quasi-Sky Sovereign level,” I said with a smile.
“Greedy bastard!” cursed many people, but I just kept looking at them with a smile on my face.
“Here, use this ink,” said a High-Sovereign and threw a bottle of formation ink at me.
I looked at the bottle coming at me and High-Sovereign. He looked like a normal half-elf. There is nothing distinctive about him, even his aura felt average.
Though, now that I had looked at him carefully, all the hair on my body had stood up.
I caught the ink bottle and was surprised to see it is a top Earth Sovereign level ink. Its amount is also quite a good amount, and I don’t think I would use more than 70% of it.
I hope he didn’t ask for the ink back.
I filled the into the pen and a second later, the floods of runes begin to come out of the pen.
This black pen is new; it is the highest-level air pen I have gotten from the Grimm. Thought of it, I could have to bring out the runes at an extremely fast speed.
Two and a half minutes later, all the runes came out, and I had sent toward the dome.
Buzz!
Everybody watched as the large sheet of runic formation covered the dome and a second later, it buzzed.
People took a step back as the formation lit up. Only seven people didn’t do it; six of us are the Peak Sovereigns, with Half-Elf only one being High-Sovereign.
Nine seconds passed, and the dome had lighted brightly as the sun, before suddenly disappearing.
The moment it happened, all of us jumped toward the lake. Including the Half-Elf. We didn’t care about the lake or anything. We want those black centurion lotuses.
Though I have become careful; the moment I sensed the aura of the lake.
I strengthened my armor to the highest and my clones begin to make changes according to the data are getting.
It will be dangerous; this white muddy lake is filled with dangerous corruption. A powerful one at the Earth Sovereign level and normal Sovereigns will die in it and even we will not be safe.
As I had said, nobody seemed to be caring about that; everyone is desiring black centurion lotuses inside.
It is not just us, the Peak Sovereign, who had moved, but also the High Sovereigns behind us. Nearly all of them came behind us, with some of them being quite powerful.
No matter what, I will have at least one Black Centurial Lotus.
I stepped over the lake, and instantly the corrupting energies hit me. They are really powerful and started to eat the defensive shields, even when one not standing over them.
The only one who has remained unaffected is the half-elf.
Still, despite that, everyone is moving toward the Black Centurial Lotuses. If they are able to get their hands on it, everything will be worth it.
The corruption is growing powerful with every step and pressuring my defenses, which have been designed to protect against it, and improving every second.
Hun!
We had reached halfway toward the lotus when one Peak Sovereign took the step and started to retreat. I didn’t blame him; the corruption had covered him fully. If he continued, it would have swallowed him, too.
A few more steps and another strange thing started happening; the level of the lake had started reducing.
As if someone is sucking it.
Though the speed of it is slow enough, it isn’t affecting the power of the corruption attacking us.
Two and a half seconds passed, and I have reached the black centurion lotus, which is bigger than me.
It has huge black petals; that looked like they were carved out of the night itself. It is an extremely beautiful lotus, and as its smell entered, my nose. I felt all the pores of my body loosen up.
Immediately, thick green strings started to come out of me and moved to the lotus. As I had said, I didn’t want the flower alone; I want the whole damn lotus.
Hun!
As the strings released, I sensed the presence behind me and he attacked me and it is not a normal attack either, but one filled with nearly all his strength.
Burst 100%
“Fuck off!” I cursed and winged back my sword toward the sphere of the gem skin man.
CLANNNG!
My sword clashed hard against its lance, making its eyes go wide and layers of defenses shattering, with it flying back like a ragged doll.
I am merciful, that I only sent it back, if I had sent it down. It would have died; I hope it will be grateful for this mercy.
I had just sent it back when a strange thing happened in the lake. The lotus in which two people had been fighting had just vanished; one moment it was there, and another moment it disappeared.
Now there are four, no three lotuses remaining. One disappeared, and another harvested and they looked at three, which had remained.
They completely overlooked Half-Elf for some reason and turned to Red Bear Beastman and me, but for some strange reason, they didn’t attack and instead retreated.
It is nothing to do with us and everything with the corruption burning their protection.
After they left, only three of us remained in the lake and all three of us seemed to be interested in a complete plant, rather than the flower.
Seconds passed, and corruption had eaten away all my shields and started on my armor. I wanted to get away, but I waited. The lotus is too important to leave.
While I was doing that, the half-elf finished and walked out of the lake. Yes, walked out, not run away, like most people.
