Chapter 4520: Getting Out

Chapter 4520: Getting Out

"Prime Dynvar," I called to the woman as I appeared beside her.

The woman seemed surprised that a weapon appeared in her hand, and her aura flared. Ready to deal with any threat that wants to harm her.

Though she remained in that state only for a fraction of a second, before she realized it was me and could see the relief flooding into her eyes.

"Prime Arys," she replied and flashed in front of me, before stopping herself and composing her expression.

"I am glad that you are alive. I had thought you would not! Seeing the powerful corruption bursting out of the lake with its churning," she shuddered as she said it.

"That was a surprise," I replied, and the guilt flashed in her eyes.

"I didn’t know it would behave like this. If I had, I wouldn’t have let you take such a risk," she said, and I shook my head. "I am here, it’s all that matters," I replied.

She looked like she wanted to say something, but seeing my expression, she just nodded.

"So, the leak had stopped?" I asked. To that, she shook her head. "I don’t know, we will only know after we get out." She replied. I could find out, but I would need to spend a few hours beside the lake, but I am not willing to.

"Let’s get out of here, then," I replied, and we began our journey to return.

It will take us two to three days to reach the exit spot, and, as before, we will have to be very careful of the monsters and the broken formations.

They are the greatest danger this place represents. Even greater than the corruption lake.

In the lake, I could survive. With the broken formation, it will be tough. That is, with the weakest against the stronger one, I could forget even thinking about surviving.

Thankfully, both of us are very experienced in these sorts of things.

We moved with unhealthy caution, with our eyes scanning for every bit of danger. We do not want to underestimate, even the slightest of things.

Like the ones, right now. There are thousands of tiny broken formations. They are swirling around, covering a large distance.

If one of them explodes, we could survive, but that won’t happen. A single explosion will trigger a massive chain reaction that will vaporize us in an instant.

This is a shortcut; it will save us hours of travel, but we could wait for hours for the way to open.

It is a gamble, the one we decided to take. Considering the other option is longer and even more dangerous than the one we are taking.

It took eleven minutes before the way opened. We immediately burst out with our greatest speed.

We barely have a second, and we have passed through the thousands of them that are still moving. So, we will have to track it as well.

My clone had already tracked the path, and I moved through them with Dynvar following behind me.

A second passed, and we reached the other side with relief flashing on our faces.

"I thought, after this level of power. Things will be easier to deal with, but they seem to have even harder," she complained, and it is not the first time she has.

"The path wouldn’t be fun without it," I replied, and she smiled.

A moment later, we begin to move again. Passing through many such dangers. Soon, a day passed, and we had crossed a good distance, but we didn’t stop.

We will not stop to rest until we get out of this realm. It’s too dangerous to stay.

If it had been any other realm, I might have. I am tired and hungry, but unfortunately. This isn’t an ordinary realm.

We still don’t know if the leak has stopped or not. If it hadn’t, then the realm would still be weakening and could become unstable at any time.

That is not something that we want to get caught in. So, the sooner we get out of here, the better it will be.

Roar Roar!

A few more hours passed, and I heard the roars. They are from monsters as powerful as us, and they are fighting the sky. Corrupt lightning clashing against the corrupt fire.

"It seemed like we would have to take the detour," she said, and I nodded.

The monsters fighting above aren’t a problem, but monsters gathered, sensing the fight area. Many of them are very powerful, and it wouldn’t be wise to get caught by them.

They could swarm us, and even the two fighting above could join. So, it’s better to take a longer route, and that’s what we did.

We passed through the graveyard where hundreds of skeletons were moving around. They are not that powerful, which is why I had collected a few of them.

Making Dynvar arch a brow at me in question.

"They are good material for alchemy and artifice," I replied with a smile. It might seem creepy to take them, but they are very useful to me.

I want to see how corruption interacts with bones. It would help my healing arts, and I might also be able to find a way to use it for strengthening.

Yes, corruption could be used for strengthening, but it is extremely dangerous.

Especially, this kind of corruption, which has the hint of laws in it, but that will also make it so good at strengthening. My methods are good, but something extra would be helpful.

Besides, I have experience in it. I did something like this in my world.

Hours passed, and we kept moving toward our destination before finally seeing it. It took us nearly a minute before we reached it.

"It looks stable enough," she said, and I nodded. This one, too, has cracks, but not as many as the one through which we came, and it is not leaking corruption.

She looked at it for a few seconds before putting the key inside. A moment later, the gate was ready.

We looked at each other and stepped inside, praying that we would get to the other side safely without any accidents.
