Monster Integration

Chapter 4557: Patients III

Chapter 4557: Patients III

"Last patient," Mira informed, and a few seconds later, a man in mid-twenties came in.

He is a wolf beastman, whose every step is confident. He has what it takes to be confident, especially in the standard of this place. He is a Peak Primary-I.

Here, most people spend all their lives and would not be able to reach that level; he had reached it.

The question is why someone like him comes to my clinic.

It had been a month since I opened, and it had become what it is, which is not that surprising. There are a few healers in the city and even a few good ones.

A word of mouth is spreading, and more people are coming, but not like him.

"Take a seat," I said to him as he did, with his eyes never leaving me. He is looking at me intensely, using the method, no less.

"It’s not polite to use the method on people," I said, and a surprise flashed in his eyes, but he didn’t deactivate the method.

I walked for a second, and another one, and another. Soon, ten seconds passed, but he still didn’t activate the method, which turned irritation to anger.

"Ahh!"

My eyes flashed, and a painful scream came out of his mouth. Soon, he regained control of himself and glared at me, but I could see shock and caution in his eyes, along with anger.

"How can I help you?" I asked without changing a smile on my face.

"I had eaten balgasin fruit a two and half month ago. At first, it provided a boost to body and soul, but soon, it started to affect my veins; it began to contract them," he said cautiously.

"That’s a pretty serious problem. Why have you come to me? I am sure, there are other, more qualified healers out there that could help you with your problem," I asked.

I usually don’t ask such questions, but I need to know whether he has seen other healers.

His expressions turned bad. "Yes, but their treatment either didn’t work or they made it worse," he replied, fisting his hand in anger and frustration.

"How were you able to find out about me?" I asked. "My uncle suggested you," he replied.

Looking at his expressions, it’s clear he didn’t believe. I could help him. He only came because he is desperate.

"Lie down on the bed," I said. He looked at me for a moment before getting up and lying down on the bed. I appeared beside him and touched his hand with two fingers.

"Your control is impressive," he said, surprised.

He would be shocked. If I showed my true control, I am not talking about my current control, but the one I had when I was Primary-I. I didn’t even use it at full strength.

Despite all his strength, I didn’t need to use it.

I checked him from every part, before sitting down on my chair with him sitting in front of me.

"So, can you help me?" he asked. He didn’t believe I could help him, but I could see a faint bit of hope in his eyes. "Practice seven katas of salor in the high noon every day for a month and your veins would return to normal," I replied.

A surprise appeared on his face, and his expressions became comical, like not daring to believe what I had said.

"Just that?" he asked as he got control over his emotions. "What? You were expecting me to prescribe you some medicine or something?" I asked back with a laugh.

It’s not a big problem. It surprises me that other healers weren’t able to spot it.

Balagasin fruit is of the lunar cold element. It is very beneficial and usually harmless, but in some people, it creates a reaction that causes, among other things, the shrinking of veins.

Katas of salor is a sun element exercise; they will neutralise the lunar energy and return the veins to what they were before.

"You are not playing me right?" he asked, and I just kept looking at him. I didn’t reply and just looked at him. He glared at me angrily before getting up and walking out of the room.

I don’t know whether he will listen to me. All I could do was hope, because it could become worse if he didn’t do something about it soon.

With him, I am finished for the day. I will not be opening tonight.

I am taking a break to go shopping and craft a few things that I am running short of.

I got up and walked out of the room. Mira is there, we walked out together, and I closed the clinic and walked into an inn, when a surprise appeared on my face.

I saw a woman in early twenties behind the counter.

"Since the business picked up, Mom has hired Eliv to help, while I will be helping you full time in the clinic," she said. "I am not going to increase your salary," I replied. She smiled.

Every week, I give her something. Things, that will help her from cleansing to strengthening.

They are already showing the effects; her skin is radiant, and there is lightness in her steps. The girl is intelligent and understands the value of those things far more than a measly salary.

All the seats are filled, aside from mine, which is reserved for me.

The inn had picked up business since I opened the clinic. Now, no room remains empty, and there are always people when I come to eat at any time.

I sat down, and a few minutes later, Mira put the dinner in front of me.

They had widened the menu, but despite that, she didn’t ask what I wanted to eat. She knows I will eat anything.

I am usually picky about what I eat, but her mother is an incredible cook. Everything she cooks is delicious, but she didn’t ask me about it.
