Chapter 1924: 24.185 Sixth Violet Star - Announcement

The God of Destruction took his leave from the mansion owned by the Human Marshal, Mu Liao. He appeared and disappeared without anyone from the mansion noticing except for his target. Now he walks on the empty road under the dark rainy sky. The rain which couldn’t fall on him, now affected him unexpectedly. When he heard that Ouroboros had appeared, he knew that his beloved must have met him.

Now with a melancholic mood around him, Hei Anjing stared at the dark cloud above him and let the rain touch his figure. No one knows what he is thinking but seeing how his mood differs from before shows that whatever he is thinking is a serious kind of thing.

He mumbles, "I know I cannot stop you from coming back. But when you fully awaken, who will you become?"

These words were swallowed by the sound of the rain while Hei Anjing’s lonesome figure under the cold weather made others feel the loneliness.

The next morning, the pile of gold in the underground prison found under the jade mine of Nangong Rui was seen in the news. It was said that the Marshal, Mu Liao was convicted for embezzlement and was taken away by the military for imprisonment.

That night he suffered the worst kind of feeling and not being able to do anything about it. It is not a punishment a human can endure. That three hours last night was his living hell. What made it worse is that even though he tried to kill himself he cannot die. It seems that the God of Destruction had bestowed to him temporary immortality during his punishment period. Mu Liao failed to kill himself.

In the Military Compound’s prison, the soldiers and Gu Ying had appeared interrogating the current Marshal about this embezzlement thing. However, General Gu Ying himself doesn’t believe this man would do such a thing even though he hates him so much. It is just that all proof points to Mu Liao as the culprit and the military had no other choice but to bring the marshal back to the military compound.

"Embezzlement? What the hell are you talking about!? I can kill people but for a shallow reason as money!?" said Mu Liao.

He looked so haggard thanks to what happened to him last night. In just overnight, he lost a few pounds due to immense stress and despair.

General Gu Ying observes Marshal Mu Liao and noticed that this man’s fatigue is real and there is a traces of something close to mental torture as the military doctor had already check on him and this haggard man is an unexpected healthy despite how he looks right now.

"Marshal, you seem to know the one who is pouring dirt on you. Why are you not talking about him or them? Do you truly want to be sued for something like embezzlement?" asked General Gu Ying. "Do you not want to be a marshal anymore?!"

"You can have it. Right, I will give you this position and then I can run away from here!" The human marshal, Mu Liao.

The soldiers in the area couldn’t believe that their current marshal was crazier than unexpected. He wanted to run away? But where in hell can he even run away to.

Mu Liao says, "I don’t want to be the marshal anymore. Even if I sat in that position, killing that person is not possible. That’s right! He is not human. Definitely a devil. I need to contact Ouroboros and ask him to take him away from this place."

He looked stunned and asked himself, ’Did this man just mention Ouroboros? Does that mean he is involved with the beast race or most likely with Ouroboros or his master, Pei Jin instead.’

General Gu Ying didn’t want to waste anymore time and made sure that this man would tell him anything he wanted to know.

"Bring him in. Make sure he will speak everything I want to know," said the General, Gu Ying.

The soldiers saluted, "As you wish, General!"

The other three rulers had gathered for a meeting. This time except for the one imprisoned in the military all other three kings had gathered.

Dwarf King Garan speaks, "Who would have thought that Xiao Mu would do such a thing. He was locked in for a few golds and saw. What is there to be greedy about money!?"

"Humans are greedy by nature. It’s not surprising at all," Elf King, Valerian said.

Beastmen Leader, the Ninetailed fox Beastman Huzi speaks, "This news is weird, though the reports show it was him who did it, I felt that the pile of gold was something he wouldn’t care much about. There is something fishy about this news."

"Whether it was fishy or not, Mu Liao will most likely be removed from his marshal position. We gather here to choose a person to replace him. Speak your mind if you have any recommendations," said the Elf King, Valerian.

Huzi responded, "I am not close to humans. I have no recommendations for that position."

"No, neither. However, if you are going to choose one, then he must at least possess enough strength to match us!" The Dwarf King, Garan said.

The ninetailed fox Beastman, Huzi, added, "Just let that drunkard test the person in your mind, Valerian."

"It’s so hard to hide things from you. You already noticed I have already chosen someone to replace Mu Liao." The Elf King, Valerian, said. "I recommend Gu Ying. The general from the human race."

"If it is indeed him then I have no complaints. I have exchanged fists with that man and believe that he was good. Much more than the current one. Well this one will be dismissed from his position sooner or later," said the King of Beastmen, Huzi.

The Dwarf King Garan said as chugging a bottle of liquor.

He said, "Just bring the man you have chosen and let me test him. I do my best to check if he is truly the best among humans."

The news about what happened to the current marshal is unbelievable. Normally, they won’t believe it. But there is this young man who is the son of the owner who owns the mine in their class. Nangong Rui told them everything that had happened yesterday and his classmates all believed him.

Long Juedi said, "You mean to say you brought our Seniors to meet your parents because they wanted to see your mine and found out that the reason the marshal wanted to buy this land is to hide his embezzlement money underground?"

Cao Wanji said, "Will the Marshal be replaced?"

"Dad said he will be. But Dad didn’t tell me who would replace him," said Haerin.

Everyone believes her words as it was well known that her dad is the prophet of the beastmen race and someone who can see the future.

Nan Jiang asked, "Who do you think would replace him?"

"Well..."

The students of F-Class had gathered in a circle and this is something Lord An Shizhe was welcomed with when he arrived in class. He didn’t mind seeing his students getting along well.

The World Eater suddenly made an announcement.

"Students, Listen. Before we begin our class I have an announcement to make."

Long Juedi and the others all turn their heads and look at their teacher who had just arrived. They were waiting for the announcement their teacher wanted to inform them.

Lord An Shizhe said, "The first academy competition has been scheduled three months from now. That’s why during these next three months I will have you trained enough to at least not embarrass yourself in the whole academy."

"School Competition!"

The students in the hall exclaimed as they couldn’t believe that something like which involves students in this academy to be fought would be approved by the school.

Losing in class and losing in school competition. It’s obvious which is more embarrassing. That’s why these students were determined to train well.
