Chapter 1972: 24.233 Sixth Violet Star - The General’s Contracted One

After fainting from over fatigue, the doctors and healers brought by Huzi and Mo Minkong look after the general. They were surprised to diagnose that his body and every of his internal organs had started to fail. He is in a critical state.

A doctor invited the two leaders and reported the current situation of General Gu Ying.

"What do you mean you cannot heal him? Are you hearing what you say!?" Lord Huzi said.

The doctors and healers were frightened and cower for a moment as they didn’t dare to look up and meet the eyes of Lord Huzi.

Mo Minkong said, "Wife, calm down. Let them explain properly."

He then looked at the doctors and healers, "Continue." He said.

There is a plate of meat and sweets children love.

"Little one, can you eat these? Don’t worry there isn’t poison," said Huzi as he ate a small piece to show that there isn’t any poison.

When he saw the little one wanting to eat with his eyes lingering on the plate of food, Lord Huzi placed the place on the seat and let the little one eat it.

"Eat a lot while the doctors treat your master. You can watch as you eat." Lord Huzi said. As he gestured to the doctors and healers to treat the general.

The little kamaitachi enjoyed his food but his eyes were on his master. To prevent his fur from getting dirtied, Mo Minkong wrapped a cloth around his neck acting like a bib for him.

It took hours before the doctors and healers finally saved him. But he is still asleep and would take time to wake up. His little kamaitachi sleeps beside his master. He leaned over his neck which didn’t have any injuries and curled beside him like a furball. Lord Huzi wanted to make a small bed for the little one but it didn’t want to disturb his current sleep and let him be.

After bidding a farewell to the little one, most of the adults had taken their leave. Outside the clinic, the two leaders had headed to the barracks to start the preparations for the battle at night and in the morning the next day. With Lord Huzi in the mix, he chooses the beastmen who are the best at moving at night and some elves who can control dark elements. This is to allow them to blend better for the evening. They planned to assassinate the beast commander from the other side.
