Chapter 2005: 24.266 Sixth Violet Star - Flare

Before dawn, messengers from the borders can already see the outskirts of the alliance city. They stop a hundred meters away from it and spread. It was then that they had split all over the area and entered the city. But as expected, people under the military were waiting for the arrivals of the messengers from the borders. Their orders were to kill all the messengers that come from the border and they are to prevent them from reaching anyone inside the city especially the beastmen race.

The adjutant under Marshal Gu Ying before he ascended to his current position was now a general. He and his people were the ones killing all the messengers from the borders under the orders of Marshal Gu Ying. It had always been like this since Gu Ying had returned to the city.

"Tsk! How come they are sending more people this time!?"

"Now they are all beastmen! Can this even be done? Thankfully, my whole troop is here tonight!"

"Split into groups and kill every beastmen messenger. You mustn’t let even one of them escape. Once we failed to kill them all, the beastmen leader and the beast god would come back from the borders and the boss would kill us," The general said.

There is also the fact that the other race either fears them or feels that race is a mix of a human and a beast. A hybrid that will never be a pureblood.

The General’s command to send a group to each beastman was correct. They need at least a dozen to kill one and even more for a Beastman warrior. As expected most of the beastmen messengers were killed and almost everyone who came to hunt them only one or two each group had returned. As for the last beastmen, he was able to sneak beyond the gates of the city and saw the state of the interior of the city.

"Damn! Half beast! You cannot escape!!!" The general said.

A fallen city which is in ruins the moment the dying beastman saw it he used the flare with the general stabbing his heart from behind.

"Hahaha! It’s too late for you~." The beastmen ignoring the weapon stabbing his heart turn around and rip half of the man’s face.

BOOOM!

Colorful patterns appeared in the dark sky. As if illuminating the black heavens a few signs appeared. This light lasted for a few minutes in the sky which was seen by everyone in the fertile lands, this includes those in the ancient forest and the ones at the borders.

The General and his people upon seeing this were enraged.

" Fucking bastard! Argh!!!"

He immediately beheaded the beastman and stabbed a few more times in anger. This flare was something he had failed to stop and it was unknown what kind of message it signifies. This is a flare message only a beastmen will be able to understand.

"I’m dead!! Dammit!!" The General held his head in frustration.

The soldiers were also pale upon seeing the flare as this meant that whatever they have done is now exposed to the beastmen. This also meant the possibility that the leaders of the beastmen race would abandon the borders just to return to their land which is the ancient forest.

"Lord General, what should we do?"

"What more! Gather their remains and burn it down. Now there is no need to hide it anymore. The fact that all messengers from both inside and outside are most likely exposed. This time, we can only accept the punishment from the lord." The general said as he was prepared to return to the city to report to the Marshal.

Even though he didn’t want to do so, he can only do it. After all, his life is now not under his control but in the hands of his master, the Marshal, Gu Ying. With the general returning to the military headquarters, the message in the sky had slowly faded but those who were meant to see it had already seen it. It was already too late to stop anything.

At the Ancient Forest...

The ones who saw the message were the guardian and Elder Beastmen who were preparing for the battle. The sudden light in the sky startled them but the moment they saw it they understood the message behind those patterns.

The former elf king, Lord Vega murmured, "All messengers are killed. The city is in ruins. Humans betray."

"This must be a message flare from our race. That means the messengers were not killed and can only leave this kind of message." An elder beastman said.

Another elder beastman said, "We should at least bring back the bodies of our brethrens!"

"It might be too late as they were most likely being burned to ashes right now."

"How despicable! The only ones who can move right now are humans! How can I do such a thing!"

"What order meaning could it be? They betrayed the alliance. They wanted these fertile lands for themselves."

"Or maybe, however, holding the string behind the scene wanted to eliminate all four races and destroy the world itself." Lord Vega said.

The moment the elder beastmen heard this they all looked at their guardian with a serious expression. The only reason the guardian would say such a word meant that the prophet had seen a part of the future again. This time this involves the destruction of the world.

"Lord Guardian, did the Lord Prophet see something again?"

"Is it world destruction?"

"How can this be? Is this still something we can prevent?!"

The former elf king just nodded his head as a response to the first question and recalled when his mate asked him about the destruction of the world. Like the elder beastmen, he was at first stunned. He didn’t know how to react.

His wife asked him, "What would you do if the world is ending?"

Even though Vega was caught in surprise he held his mate’s hand and said, "No matter what happens I will always be with you, Haerin and our tribe!"

Seeing the serious expression on his mate’s face, Prophet Heri was stunned for a moment when he realized what his beloved had said his heart had skipped a beat and finally he started laughing with joy.

"Don’t worry. With the protection of our two princes even if the world is to end they will be able to stop it." Prophet Heri said.

Confused. Lord Vega asked, "Then this world ends?"

"It’s going to happen of course. However, there is no need for us to be afraid. Prince Hei and Prince Ye will handle it." Prophet Heri said.
