The couple was having their usual heart to heart talk. The God of Destruction knew from the beginning that his husband is a merged soul of two godly beings. Two whose karma was closely connected to him as the protector of their cosmos. Moreover, the original identities of these men were special as well. One is a guardian like him while the other is the lord of the invaders who wanted to take over their cosmos’s resources, in short their enemy.

However, the God of Destruction is the strongest among the guardians but he is secretly in love with the Hell Fire Lord. Unfortunately, the Hell Fire Lord doesn’t have the feelings he had and never turns his head to his side. The God of Destruction knowing when to stop had given up one day, and he focused on his job to protect the world. He also took away his feelings to the void letting it disappear.

Normally, this is normal. There are lots of divinity who would do this to avoid emotional distress as they exist for eternity. However, that is when the Dark Lord accidentally picked up this emotion and was greatly affected by it. It was attractive. A pure love that he never felt or experienced before. He took ownership of it and when he learned that these feelings were from one of the guardians of the cosmos he is targeting, he immediately took it as a chance to gain over the God of Destruction.

The Lord of Hell Flames had learned about it and wanted to take it back. That is something their enemy must never possess. The Dark Lord and Hell Flames Lord continuous conflict results from this. At the last moment, the Dark Lord dragged the Lord of Destruction into their battle only to be surprised that a God of Destruction devoid of feelings is the worst in existence. He no longer cares and no longer feels anything.

His response was simple: {Whatever is lost will never be the same.}

The meaning of these words is heavy. The Lord of Destruction is directly telling them that he no longer cares about something he disregards and that he will never be the same as the ’him’ who had those feelings from before. Even if it was returned to him it’s useless as like he said, he will not be the same as he was before.

There is another problem, the two other lords were already affected by the situation. The Lord of Hell Flames still believes that the Lord of Destruction would return to normal as long as he took back his feeling picked by the Dark Lord. While the Dark Lord had longed fallen in love with the Lord of Destruction not willing to give back anything to this man who broke his beloved’s heart. Whether his love is real or not still depends on him though.

They fought for decades, to centuries to millennia until in the end they killed each other under the Lord of Destruction’s emotionless eyes. In the end, the Dark Cosmos who had lost their Lord had to back away. The Lord of Destruction didn’t care much about them and issued a peace treaty then he fell asleep.

Before the God of Destruction fell asleep, he stared nonchalantly at the feelings he had disregarded and gave it a bit of life, he also gathered the remnant of the two lords and scattered all of it to the cosmos behind him giving them a chance to rebirth. It’s just unexpected these two beings were reincarnated as one person and that his emotions, whom he had granted life to, would give birth to a being called Hei Anjing.

Now the fate of three people clashes once again. They fell in love with each other this time. Those who didn’t know love learn to love and those who are obsessed have gained what they yearn for.

But will they change if everything they had lost that day comes back to them?

Their memories, strength, identities and standing.

Just how much of these things can make a change to one’s relationship.

Somewhere underground, Long Juedi, Haerin and their friends were now being chased by some kind of unknown being underground. It seems that after Marshal Gu Ying learned that dwarfs can use the underground to move around, he threw some beasts who had gone insane due to the experiments he made of making his side stronger. There is also a need to try each potion that came from the barren land specifically made by Pei Jin.

Some of the potions expired causing such unwanted mutation. He threw most of it in the underground tunnels he had found. That’s how Long Juedi and his group had bumped into this unidentified monster.

"Damn! What the hell is this thing!?"

"It’s vitality is too strong!"

"Can’t we just fight it!?"

"Yea, let’s go kill it!"

"Idiot! We are underground! Do you want to get buried alive!"

"What should we do then? We can’t just keep running like this."

Long Juedi thought for a moment. "We can fight it but not without preparations. I need all the earth and plant elemental users to focus on making sure that the tunnel will not collapse. The rest will fight and try to kill this monster as fast as possible!"

"Understood!" His teammates said.

As soon as their tasks were given, those who could restrain the monster had sealed its movements temporarily, the earth and plant element users controlled the area and enhanced the tunnel walls enough to bear the fight that was about to take place. There is also Long Juedi who didn’t join the fight as he needs to focus on keeping everyone safe.

The monster, as if it was born with unparalleled power, breaks through its seals and starts attacking them. The main fighters like Nan Jiang, Dwarf Princess Shika and the twins, Cao Wanji and Cao Heiji had to focus on attacking the monster. There are also some supports in the area giving buffs and debuffs to the fighters and the monster.

Long Juedi was keeping the battlefield safe. Once there is someone who would get hurt in the process, he would immediately save them. Thankfully, there are more of them and their talents were topnotched. They were able to defeat the monster and move in the next tunnel as staying in their current area is dangerous. The moment they moved onto the next tunnel, the former one which lost its support from the earth and plant elemental users had collapsed.

The group was stunned as they saw the route connected to their home now cut off but this collapsed tunnel.

Long Juedi said, "Don’t worry about the collapsed of the tunnel. Maybe when we return home to the ancient forest we won’t need to use the underground tunnels but the land above us."

"The boss is right. We should focus on reaching the borders first."

"We can go home once the mission is finished."

"It’s all because of that Evil Beast God, Pei Jin and the hidden villain. If not for them this wouldn’t have to happen."

"At least we are still alive. If the adults didn’t protect us, we might now be fighting in the ancient forest with them."

"But we can’t stay there, the Lord Prophet, we will die there faster if we stay."

"Don’t be so pessimistic! We win and everything will be over."

"Rest for a bit. An hour later we..."

Long Juedi was about to let the group rest only to hear a familiar growling sound from the beast they had just finished killing before. Before and behind them were other tunnels. Three in front and another three from behind. One of them had already collapsed.

"You got to be fucking with kidding me!"

Two other beasts that look like monsters with distorted appearances slowly come out from the other two tunnels from behind them. The atmosphere and tension in the area had gotten quiet and despairing. Thankfully, the children were calm except for the one who had cursed out in anger.

Long Juedi commands, "RUN!"

Another round of chase was not happening underground. This time there are two monsters chasing after them.

It was Gu Yang who had been living a primitive life in the forest beyond the broken gates of the ruined alliance city. Ever since the gods had descended that day, almost all the soldiers were summoned back. He took this chance to leave the city.

Gu Yang said as he watched the fire over the ancient forest.

"Never expected that the barrier around the ancient forest would fall. Just who the hell is that being who had taken over my dad’s body. I can only beg for help.
