Chapter 2057: 24.318 Sixth Violet Star - Finally at the Borders

With the two commanders of the borderland, Commander Mo Minkong and Commander Huzi, the current beast wave was blocked and the beast race had once again retreated. However, one could never deny that the number of deaths and injuries increase each day. The two commanders returned from the battlefield together with those who had survived, those who had died and those who were injured. Some beasts were also dragged with them for food. Like how the beast race eats the human race to increase their strength and enhance their cultivation, the human race also consumes the beast race. After all, the origin of the Beast race is still that of an animal.

Beast God Mo Minkong was the one who dragged the huge deer shaped beast race. They were able to get food through this as well. As for Lord Huzi, this Ninetailed Fox Beastmen after using his beast form to fight fatigue had hit him. He was lying on his mate’s back feeling lethargic.

Lord Huzi looked around and upon seeing the farm not far away and seeing most soldiers malnourished he couldn’t help but frown. He could only sighed as he went down from his mate’s back.

"I will walk on my own. Cough." The beastmen leader said. "I will erect a thicker barrier which would most likely last for three days. Everyone take a rest and do what you want to do. Don’t worry. As long as I am not dead this barrier will not fall. So my comrades, it is time to rest."

Everyone at the borders cheered when they heard what their Commander Huzi had declared. There is a mixture of happiness and sadness within the crowd. Happy that they are still alive and sad that they lost their comrade, friends and family again at this beast wave.

The two commanders, after sending the food for today to the logistics, were about to head to the office to rest when they heard from the two systems who were watching over them that someone they had been waiting for had arrived.

Zhi Yue, the little moon god, said, [Rejoice. The destined battle is imminent and the main characters had finally arrived.]

[The two of you can finally take a rest. Once the protagonist and the heroines arrive at the borders, that will be when the final battle will take place,] said Zhi Yang.

The two commanders didn’t seem surprised when the finale was about to fall onto this world. What came next was something they could no longer get involved about.

At the closed gates from the directions of the ruined alliance city, these massive gates that had closed after the traitors had left the borders had finally opened this time. From opposite of the close doors were a group of children who had just finished bathing at the nearby river before heading to this place. Just when they are worrying about what they should do to ask the people from the other side to open the door, the huge door suddenly moves.

It slowly opens revealing two people who are quite familiar to everyone from Long Juedi’s side. There is no way that none among them would not recognize the real leaders of the beastmen race. Beast God Mo Minkong who is said to be the oldest god in existence and used to live in the barren land and the strongest beastmen in existence who was said to have inherited a divine bloodline, Lord Huzi.

Haerin calls, "Uncles?!" She immediately ran towards them for a huge.

Lord Huzi lets the young lady hug him and pats her back like an elder he is to her.

"You guys have done well coming here. Come with us and rest," the beastmen leader said.

Beast God Mo Minkong said, "Let’s go to our office. We can continue our conversation there."

It didn’t take long for everyone at the borders to know that some children from the city had come to them. There are those who wanted to ask what is the situation in the city only to be stopped by the others. Those who are smart had grim faces as they saw the children, they had some guesses in their hearts but didn’t openly speculate as that would just cause more chaos in the borders.

At the commander’s offices...

The two systems pretended to be soldiers that worked for the two commanders and served some tea and snacks to the children. The two commanders didn’t urge the children to speak as they knew that even their journey to the borders would definitely not be simple.

Long Juedi said, "The barrier around the ancient forest had been broken."

"The barrier has been broken!?" Lord Huzi, who didn’t expect this to happen, soon exclaimed. Even though he already knew of this part of the future, it was different from something that would happen in the past and for something that had already happened.

Beast God Mo Minkong said, "Hu’er, calm down. Nothing will happen to them. Didn’t mom and dad say they would be coming soon. Moreover, Thorn is there. He definitely wouldn’t allow the mortal realm to fall as that would mean that the Spirit realm would definitely be the next one."

The beastmen leader, Lord Huzi, temporarily calmed down and went back to sit beside his lover who is comforting him. However, the Beast God was different from him. The only ones important in the eyes of the beast god are his wife and his two children. As for the others, they can only be ranked important after the life of his family. As something born in chaos, the space beyond which is created by it like him would not harm him. If something out of control had truly happened to this world, he would take away his family and live in another world.

Haerin said, "Don’t worry, Uncle Huzi. My dad had foreseen this and was ready when the barrier had fallen."

"As long as the other races work together there shouldn’t anything bad happening," said Xue Laira. She added, "My dad said that he will summon all the Elementals who can help and fight when the time comes."

"You guys have worked hard. Did something happen on your way here? Why do you have a weird scent on you?" Lord Huzi said.

As part beast, their sense of smell is stronger than that of a human. There is no way it would escape their noses if there are any traces of blood. There is also the fact of them bathing accidentally on it after the monster had exploded. The children had no other choice but to tell everything to the two adults in front of them.

"Actually, we are supposed to arrive using the underground routes made by our dwarf friends which are connected to the borders."

"Yes. It was actually a gooey like figure with no apparent shape. However, it had a strong scent of wind elements though it was badly tainted that I can barely distinguish if what I had sensed before was real or not," Xue Laira said.

Lord Huzi frowned when even the Bloodline of Spirit God Thorn had noticed something that made him recall that strange cute beast from before. A mythical beast Kamaitachi, a special beast that can control wind as strong as an Elemental who controls the wind.

The leader of the beastmen race said, "Then that must be the contracted beast of the current human Marshal. His beast is a powerful special beast called Kamaitachi who wields wind blades as weapons. Heri might have shown or told you about the Marshal. The soul of the current marshal had been replaced by something extremely sinister."

"That beast you have killed might be his contracted beast and its current form was a result of all the experiments that man had done to it," Beast God Mo Minkong said. "Is it truly dead?"

The children collectively nodded and said, "It’s corpse even exploded."

Marshal Gu Ying who was watching the fun witnessed his beast being killed after it was dragged to the borders where beings born not from this cosmos will get immediately noticed.
