Chapter 2063: 24.324 Sixth Violet Star - Choosing New Members

Long Juedi did as he was told. He didn’t openly show his face in the barracks and stayed in their dormitory polishing the battle plan he had in mind. The two commanders had summoned him again that afternoon, introducing some young soldiers who were willing to be led by Long Juedi. Unexpectedly, some of these young soldiers were only a few years older than Long Juedi and after learning his plan, they are all willing to follow his command.

Most of them were only stationed logistically, unable to enter the frontlines despite wanting to fight for their land and families. They also come from other races like the dwarfs, elves, humans and beastmen. They realized that by joining Long Juedi’s group who was deemed the heaven’s beloved son they will be able to do what they had been yearning to do. It can be said that the people the two commanders, Lord Mo Minkong and Lord Huzi, had chosen were all who specialized in both speed and strength.

After seeing the plan Long Juedi had written it was this kind of people who was needed for that plan to be implemented. They need speed to avoid being caught by the beast and need strength to force them to fall. This plan only needed those beasts who were Gigantified to fall on the ground and lose their freedom of movement. Once they were beheaded, it can be said that this plan was successful.

Beast God Mo Minkong said, "Xiao Jue, check on these guys. They were the people we have chosen to help you with your battle plan."

"You can choose among these guys for now. Then if they aren’t able to satisfy you, I will bring you to where the other soldiers are so you can choose the people you want to be added to your team," the Ninetailed Fox Beastman Commander Huzi said.

Long Juedi looked at the young soldiers and noticed that none of them had looked down on him for having a young age. Though before they had seen the boy’s battle plan they did indeed feel a discriminatory emotion towards the boy, thinking what can a young boy like Long Juedi do. It is not like the boy is born divine like the two princes of the beastmen race. Only after learning that boy was trained personally by the two his highnesses that they were willing to read the young man’s report and was stunned by its content. They realized that a genius this young can be born in their world.

"I would like a light sparring to test their speed and strength," said Long Juedi.

The young soldiers behind the two commanders all agreed and they moved locations to an indoor sparring room where the other teammates of Long Juedi were also called back.

"Boss, why did you call us back?" Nan Jiang said. "We were having fun farming!?"

"Do you need us for something?" Princess Shika asked while munching on a boiled corn given to them on their way back.

With the help of the two pureblood elves like Heva and Hevana, the growth of the crops at the farming area had greatly increased. With Xue Laira lending a hand, all the crops had ripen more than a few times which had resolved the problem of food in the borders.

It also took a while for them to notice the other soldiers in the area. When they saw the two commanders and their leader on the stage, they realized that these people might be the additional members of their group.

Nangong Rui asked, "Are they our new members?"

"Wow~ there are females in the group!" Haerin said as she is delighted to have more girls in their group.

Long Juedi said, "We will do group sparring. Splitting groups to merge with the other group. As long as they are able to follow our movements they would be added to the team. I am splitting the group now and starting the group sparring."

Everyone agreed to the instructions Long Juedi had laid to both teams. He didn’t include himself as he needs to observe the potentials of these young soldiers and whether they will have some compatibility with their team. Though they are young, they are the top talents of their generations. Long Juedi isn’t asking these soldiers to have equal talents as theirs, they only need to be able to follow their movements and work together with them.

Long Juedi after splitting the group had chosen two among their team who would lead. The ones chosen for this round are Dwarf Princess Shika and Nan Jiang, this battle maniac. The fighting abilities of these two were both top notch. The only difference is that Nan Jiang focuses on his weapon and body to fight while the Dwarf Princess focuses on elemental and body techniques.

"Alrigh! You may begin!!"

As soon as the voice of Long Juedi was heard, Dwarf Princess Shika and Nan Jiang made a move. The two look like they are confronting each other but just as they about to clash, their weapons had instead attacked the soldiers from the other team.

The other original members had already known how these two acts were. They might look like they all brawl with no brains, but their techniques of catching people off guard were the best. As expected, some soldiers received the attack and some had fallen off the stage from the impact. There are some who have moved in that split second not only to block the force but prevented themselves from falling off the stage.

Long Juedi said, "Alright! Those who fell off the stage were disqualified from the team. I’m sorry but you failed."

The soldiers who had fallen couldn’t accept this ending and tried to reason out.

"That was an ambush!!"

"This doesn’t count!"

"This is unfair!!"

"Please give us a second chance."

Cao Heiji leaned on his twin as the sparring was abruptly halted with these reactions from the young soldiers who fell.

He commented, "Woah~ they are truly brave."

"Questioning the leader was the worst choice to make," Cao Wanji said.

Everyone who was on the stage was feeling the tension off stage. They flinched when they saw their leader, who was listing his observations in his book, suddenly look up to meet the eyes of the complaining soldiers.

Once the book in his hand was closed, he suddenly disappeared on the spot which startled everyone while those from his original team were on guard. A few hidden blades flew in the air attacking everyone. Almost everyone on the stage had dodged the hidden weapons, caught it or parried it. But the guys who were off the stage even failed to notice the hidden weapon getting themselves wounded.

Argh!

Long Juedi unexpectedly appeared behind these young soldiers as most of them fell on the ground as their legs were intentionally wounded by him.

"Only one pass. Go back on the stage!" Long Juedi said to the only soldier who managed to block his dagger among those who failed.

"I have given you a second chance but only one passed. The rest of you should take a rest in the clinic."

An angel appeared Long Juedi and healed the cuts on these shocked young soldiers. They were in dazed as they truly didn’t notice or sense Long Juedi attacking them and even get wounded enough to temporarily crippled their movements.

"You can even follow the movements of the other members, much less mine. Train harder. The movements of the beast race are even more unpredictable than my attacks." Long Juedi said as he returned to his original location and once again opened the book to list some information.

He looked at the guys on the stage and said, "You guys on stage. Continue!"

The group sparring only ended after half a day. The groups were jumbled a few times and the young soldiers had gotten used to the rhythm of the team. Long Juedi had also found which of these soldiers would fall into which pair of groups for the battle plan in his mind. The two commanders were amazed by what they had witnessed the whole time, then were even more surprised when they saw Long Juedi sharing his thoughts about the chosen soldiers and them being part of the plan.

In the end, only half of the original number of the young soldiers had remained. Though the numbers of the team are still lacking to fill up all the points in the battle plan, at least the main points were secured.

Long Juedi said, "Commanders, I have chosen those who will join the team. But some are still missing. Allow me to observe at the barrack to find the right teammates."

"Is this only the group members for fighting the first mutation that was prophetized? Will the group members change again for the second and third mutation?" Lord Heri said.

Long Juedi nods his head, "Yes. Of course, there might be possible accidents during the execution of the plan itself. I will have to make sure that all possible scenarios would be covered up with the team I am making."

"Alright. Tell your friends to rest. Come to the office with us and explain your current battle plan to us," Lord Mo Minkong said.
