Chapter 2223: 25.113 Lone Black Star - Will you marry me?

The news about the awakening of the crown princess had spread in the space territory of the empire. Such good news was something everyone had wanted to hear and had been waiting for all this time. When the crown princess had fallen into slumber almost all of the soldiers in the space territory were worried for their crown princess. They knew who had been keeping them alive all this time and also knew who was the most saddened for not being able to enter the frontline and saving their comrades despite having the power to do so. Lord Ye Caoyun had been requesting to enter the frontline just to decrease the death count of their soldiers.

Unfortunately, the rules of the military empire about not allowing a guide without his paired sentinels entering the frontline is something even the commander of the fleet is not allowed to break. Even the crown prince had never broken this rule no matter what the situation at the battlefield was. Because everyone knows that the insect race loves to eat beings with strong mental powers and they targeted the weak guides the most in the battlefield. A lot of guides had died in the past war before and this caused their already low population to become scarce.

Because of this reason, the greatest rule in the space battlefield is to not allow a guide without a pair to go in the front line. Now the rules of the military only accept paired guides to fight on the battlefield, unpaired ones can only work in the hospital and those guides whose sentinels are not around are not to step foot in the frontlines. These are the rules of the military which even the commander cannot break. Breaking it would equate to a sin equal to that of a treason.

Now that the Crown Prince has returned, the Crown Princess will no longer need to stay at the headquarters. With the crown prince by his side, the crown princess can head to the frontline and speak to as many people as he can. This will also lessen the death count among their soldiers and those that can be saved would increase a lot as well.

There is also another good news. A few hours after the crown prince had entered the battlefield, the wave of zergs that was attacking their headquarters had been eliminated by the Crown Prince. Seeing that he was dominating the battlefield the Zerg Prince had felt the danger the crown prince was now emitting and immediately fled to leave the area. Of course, just because it left it didn’t mean that it would not return. After all, it threatened the crown prince as it escaped saying,

{I will come back and bring the queen and king to kill you!!!}

It fled too fast after sensing that the human race’s crown prince wanted to chase it. It was terrified that it left behind most of its subordinates and was no different from a shameless general who left his troops to be killed. However, for a race that produces fast, losing a whole fleet never matters to them. After all, they can reproduce faster than the other race and in the eyes of the royal grade zerg, anything lower than they deserve to get their lives sacrificed for their sake.

Delighted by the fact that his future wife is now awake, he chooses not to chase after that annoying Ant Zerg Prince. Instead, he urgently killed the rest of the zergs before returning to the headquarters.

The fact that the Zerg Prince had fled from the main battlefield had reached the headquarter’s command center and everyone is celebrating this good news. Though the death count had greatly lessened with the presence of the crown prince in the battlefield. Ye Qinya still couldn’t prevent the death of the other soldiers. After all, showing too much of his ability as a god would just make the soldiers fear him. Seeing the two children flirting, even forgetting the elders at the side, the grand duke was frowning.

"A’Jie~, don’t sulk," said the Duchess as he hugged his husband. "Let’s go. Leave the young couple for a while."

After the grand duke and duchess left the room for the couple, Ye Qinya and Ye Caoyun finally calmed down and looked at one another. They both look like they have something to say, but they don’t know how to say it. In the end, the first one to speak was the crown prince. He reached out and held Ye Caoyun’s hand.

"Yun’er, I just wanted to ask. Before we leave this place, are you willing to marry me?" Ye Qinya asked.

Ye Caoyun stares at him for a while watching the man nervously before asking, "Is it a marriage for this lifetime or one that lasts for eternity?"

"The one that lasts for eternity. Is Yun’er willing?" asked Ye Qinya.

The Crown Princess said, "In the upper realm, there is this kind of trial that is rewarded with eternal marriage. It is composed of three marriages in the lower realm worlds and upon completion, the couple would be able to share everything. Their power, lifespan, pain, luck, everything. Are you willing to undergo the Trial of Marriage with me?"

"I will take the trial of marriage with you, Yun’er!" Ye Qinya said.

Ye Caoyun was satisfied with his man’s response and said, "Then I am also willing to marry you, the kind that lasts for eternity."

Meanwhile, as the couple was having a sweet moment in their lives, they would never have expected the tragedy that had struck their homeland. A small nest led by a pair of royal zergs, one queen and one king had invaded the Empire. With most of the elite soldiers gone, the empire was only left with a few fleets from the military. But a quarter of them had been ruined thanks to the Third Prince indiscriminately using his powers to control the authorities in the empire to subdue him, these people had all been controlled like a mindless puppet with an ending worse than death.

Even after the third prince, Ye Di had successfully escaped from the empire those whose mind was broken by the third prince had never returned to normal. There is also the fact that the remaining soldiers in the empire cannot match the one that was sent to the cosmos battlefield. After the crown prince had sent the mutated Zerg Prince running, he had truly returned with his parents coming with him. He had brought his whole royal ant family. With another set of leaders taking the lead from the insect race, the invasion from the zergs had gotten serious. But with two gods protecting this base, the family of royal zergs had a tragic ending. The Zerg Queen and Zerg King had ended up dead. Then the Zerg Prince ran away again after witnessing the death of his parents.

Though the insect race didn’t have much attachment to their parents, it held a grudge to those that defeated them. This mutated zerg prince after losing against Ye Qinya twice, came to find the being that had helped him mutate. This time it wanted to ask this being to help him get even stronger. A power which is enough to kill that human had humiliated him twice.
