Chapter 6354: The God Curse Can’t Be Lifted

“Chu Feng? You’re saying that Chu Feng saved his grandmother?” the female grand elder looked at the guest elder as she asked.

The male grand elder and the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief found that hard to believe too. They were certain that the person who had just entered the palace was the Ninth Young Master.

They saw no Chu Feng.

“Chu Feng is a talented world spiritist. It is within his means to control the Ninth Young Master. However, I didn’t expect him to rescue his grandmother without breaking my treasure,” the guest elder said as she raised her hand, and the crystal coffin contracted and flew onto her palm.

She turned to the clan chief and said, “I’m sorry.”

“Why are you apologizing?” The clan chief was confused.

“I had you lure Chu Feng here because he was carrying many treasures. I thought obtaining those could bulk up the Ye Immortal Clan. However, I underestimated his means. I didn’t expect him to rescue his grandmother so easily. He’s not the type to let things slip. The Ye Immortal Clan has made an enemy out of him without getting anything in return. I... am remorseful,” the guest elder said.

“Guest elder, are you sure Chu Feng was behind this? Could it not be that Chu Feng’s grandmother has regained consciousness and escaped while holding my ninth brother hostage?” the clan chief asked.

He still found it hard to believe that Chu Feng had pulled that off.

“Based on what I know, Chu Feng’s grandmother is not in the right state of mind, and she doesn’t hesitate to attack anyone who provokes her. She wouldn’t leave quietly if she regained her consciousness, especially if she had the means to slip away without us noticing. She would have made a move against us.

“Chu Feng must have been behind this. He was controlling the Ninth Young Master, which was why the latter ignored your question. His goal was to rescue his grandmother,” the guest elder replied.

The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief and his parents thought those words made sense. Thinking about it now, there was something off about the Ninth Young Master.

“Doesn’t that mean that Chu Feng was in this realm all along? He wouldn’t have gotten here so quickly otherwise,” the clan chief said.

While the message they had sent out had enveloped this realm, it would take time for it to propagate further. Chu Feng arrived shortly after they released the message, which meant that he must have been in this realm too.

“Chu Feng has been searching for his grandmother all along. Someone spotted his grandmother in this realm, so it isn’t surprising for him to find this place,” the guest elder replied.

“Looks like the one who rescued that old woman is indeed Chu Feng. We have nothing to fear then. Think about it. Why would Chu Feng escape when he possesses such means?” the clan chief asked.

“Why?” the guest elder asked.

“It means that he fears and dares not confront us,” the clan chief replied.

“You’re right.” The guest elder nodded.

Just then, an elder’s excited voice echoed from outside the palace, “Lord Clan Chief, grand elders, I have returned.”

It was a white-haired old man. He was of considerable stature in the Ye Immortal Clan, and he had received an important mission not too long ago.

“Did you find it?” the clan chief asked.

“I have accomplished the task entrusted to me,” the elder gleefully replied as he took out a transparent sphere that was the size of a watermelon and lifted it with both hands.

Inside the sphere was a spatial realm. In the spatial realm was a silver mountain peak enveloped in a gaseous substance that resembled the breath of an immortal.

“Wonderful! We have everything in place now!” The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief was delighted. He turned to the guest elder and said, “Guest elder, you can recover your body now.”

“Lord Clan Chief, the preparations will take some time, right?” the guest elder asked.

“Yes, but it won’t take too long,” the clan chief replied.

“I need to make some preparations too,” the guest elder replied.

The clan chief’s face darkened. The guest elder had given him a heads-up that she would need some time alone to prepare once everything was in order. In other words, she needed to leave temporarily.

“Guest elder, can’t you make your preparations here? We have already activated our ancestral formation. There’s no place safer than here in the world,” the clan chief said.

“Lord Clan Chief, I’d like to make my preparations alone due to my peculiar constitution. I seek your understanding for that,” the guest elder replied.

“All right. Don’t take too long,” the clan chief replied.

The guest elder bowed before taking her leave.

“This lass is full of trouble. Who knows what she’s up to? Xiancheng, you need to tread carefully. She might have saved your life, but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s an outsider,” the female grand elder warned.

The clan chief’s smile vanished, replaced with a confident smirk. “Don’t worry, mother. Everything is within my grasp.”

...

The Divine Deer took Chu Feng somewhere safe, though they didn’t leave the realm.

“There’s something weird about that crystal coffin. I nearly failed to save your grandmother from there,” the Divine Deer remarked.

She had planned to escape from this realm, but she consumed so much energy rescuing Chu Feng’s grandmother from the crystal coffin that she couldn’t do so anymore.

“Looks like the Ye Immortal Clan has quite the means. Thank you, elder.”

Chu Feng was grateful to the Divine Deer. He couldn’t have rescued his grandmother from the Ye Immortal Clan’s clutches without her incredible means.

Wuu!

Chu Feng’s grandmother suddenly frowned in pain. The words ‘God Curse’ appeared on her forehead.

“Grandmother!”

Chu Feng hurriedly channeled his spirit power to diagnose his grandmother’s condition. Her body was extremely healthy, but the God Curse had sealed off her brain, making it impossible for him to peer in with his spirit power.

He felt uneasy, for the God Curse was likely responsible for his grandmother’s current pain. What further unnerved him was that the familiar aura he felt from the God Curse—it was the God Clan’s aura.

“It’s the God Clan. They are behind this curse. But why?” Chu Feng was perplexed.

“The God Clan? Chu Feng, are you certain?” Eggy asked.

“Yes, it’s the God Clan. I’m certain,” Chu Feng replied.

He began constructing a formation to lift the God Curse, but soon, he crumbled into despair. He was unable to do anything about the God Curse.

Just then, a voice echoed from the sky, “God Curse? Is that what those two characters mean?”

Chu Feng’s heart clenched up. The Ye Immortal Clan’s guest elder was floating in the sky, but he didn’t notice her at all before she spoke.
