Chapter 6362: The Ye Immortal Clan’s Formless Spearmanship

“Interesting. I’ll be getting serious.”

A golden aura surfaced from Ye Xiancheng’s body, flowing down his arm and into his spear. Their auras became identical as if they had become one entity.

“Our Ye Immortal Clan specializes in the spear. Created by our founder and tempered by many generations of ancestors, we eventually developed an invincible spear skill known as Formless Spearmanship. I’ll let you have a taste of it today.”

Ye Xiancheng charged at Chu Feng and swung his spear downward. The spear curved almost like a whip from the immense force.

Chu Feng stood his ground and attempted to deflect the attack with his saber, but the falling spear suddenly vanished, reappearing as a thrust aimed at Chu Feng’s waist.

It was a good thing Chu Feng was prepared for it, and he deflected it with his other blade.

“You have good reflexes, but how long can you continue that?”

Ye Xiancheng continued his assault. Like before, his spear would abruptly vanish just as it was about to strike Chu Feng before reappearing from a completely different direction.

So far, Chu Feng, with his swift reflexes, had stood his ground against Ye Xiancheng’s bizarre spearmanship.

Meanwhile, Eggy and Song Yun observed the battle from the side.

“Is it an illusion? How does he do that?” Eggy was perplexed.

Ye Xiancheng’s parents smiled proudly.

“Chu Feng does live up to his reputation to withstand Xiancheng’s Formless Spearmanship,” the male grand elder remarked.

“Xiancheng has already mastered Formless Spearmanship. Once he gets serious, Chu Feng won’t stand a chance anymore. If Chu Feng thinks he can best Xiancheng in a weaponry duel, he’s sorely mistaken,” the female grand elder sneered.

The other Ye Immortal Clansmen couldn’t conceal their excitement as they watched Chu Feng and Ye Xiancheng’s duel. So far, no other Ye Immortal Clansman had been able to execute the Formless Spearmanship to Ye Xiancheng’s level at his cultivation level.

Even though Ye Xiancheng wasn’t exerting his full prowess, he was still using the Formless Spearmanship. He couldn’t help but feel increasingly amazed by Chu Feng as the latter firmly stood his ground.

“What’s that saber art you’re using, Chu Feng? I’m surprised it can stand against my Formless Spearmanship.”

“I don’t have a fixed saber art. It’s merely the way I deal with my enemies,” Chu Feng replied.

“Aren’t you being too secretive, Chu Feng? I can tell it’s much more than that. Your saber art has already neutralized my attacks many times.” Ye Xiancheng didn’t believe Chu Feng.

“It isn’t a saber art because it works with a saber, a sword, a spear, or a stick. These are the moves I have developed from the combat experience I have accrued. Your spearmanship is amazing indeed. Your so-called Formless Spearmanship is about mixing real attacks with feints, right?” Chu Feng asked.

“You’re able to see through parts of it? Tell me more. Let me see if you’re right or not,” Ye Xiancheng urged.

“Your feints aren’t illusions but attacks that can be changed instantaneously. It would require extreme physical control to pull them off. It must have taken you quite some time to master this spearmanship, right?” Chu Feng said.

“Indeed, I spent more time learning this spearmanship than other means. You have a sharp eye, but can you tell whether I have gotten serious yet?” Ye Xiancheng asked.

“You are serious, but you have yet to reveal your full strength,” Chu Feng replied.

“You saw through that? Interesting. Not only can you match me in fighting prowess, but you have a sharp eye as well. Chu Feng, you are a good rival. I can hardly bear to hurt you. Why don’t you surrender? It’ll at least spare you from some pain,” Ye Xiancheng said.

“Do you know why I haven’t used any martial skills?” Chu Feng asked.

“It’d prove that you’re inferior to me if you resort to martial skills first. You don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of my guest elder,” Ye Xiancheng pointed out.

“The result is what matters in a fight between cultivators. I don’t care about the rest,” Chu Feng replied.

“Why don’t you tell me the reason?” Ye Xiancheng’s curiosity was piqued.

“Your spearmanship and fighting prowess are formidable. It’s hard to come by an opponent like you. I ought to use this opportunity to temper myself,” Chu Feng replied.

He meant it. It was difficult to find an opponent who was strong and skilled. This was a rare chance for him to hone and advance his weaponry mastery.

“Hah! You’re treating me as a sparring partner? My spear won’t show mercy. Don’t blame me for not holding back if you fail to dodge in time!”

Ye Xiancheng laughed. He seemed to enjoy sparring with Chu Feng. His spearmanship suddenly became sharper and more aggressive. To outsiders, it looked as if he was raining a barrage of attacks on Chu Feng.

But Chu Feng remained unscathed under Ye Xiancheng’s relentless attacks. He didn’t even retreat a single step. He proved to be capable of standing on equal ground with Ye Xiancheng. In fact, he was beginning to transition from defense to offense.

The Ye Immortal Clansmen couldn’t believe that Chu Feng was rivaling the Formless Spearmanship’s offensive prowess.

Even the two grand elders’ proud smiles were fading. Their son was formidable, but somehow, his attacks failed to faze Chu Feng no matter how hard he struck, as if he were striking a bed of cotton.

This could only mean one thing—Chu Feng wasn’t exerting his full strength either. He was still holding back even at this point. This didn’t bode well for them.

The strongest junior of the present era was far more unfathomable than they had imagined.

“Xiancheng, this concerns our clan’s recovery formation. You mustn’t get careless. Quickly go all out and conclude this duel!” the male grand elder sent a voice transmission over.

“Chu Feng, I acknowledge you as a rival, but it’s time to end this fight. Don’t blame me for this.”

Boom!

Furious flames and waves of water suddenly gushed forth from Chu Feng’s weapons—these were the special means of his God Armaments. The clash between fire and water produced a thick fog that blocked one’s vision.

“Hmph!”

Ye Xiancheng was unfazed. He closed his eyes to use his other senses to track Chu Feng’s movements. He had undergone special training to enhance his other senses in preparation for such a situation.

Uwa!

He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Chu Feng had kicked him in his chest, sending him flying.

“You have lost.” Chu Feng stared at Ye Xiancheng while fiddling with his God Armaments.

His meaning was clear.

Ye Xiancheng would have died if the earlier attack had not been a kick but a slash.
