Chapter 6376: Tianjian Qingyuan’s Condition

Chu Feng entered the fog without revealing himself.

While he was also curious to know what benefits the Heavensword Sacred Palace would receive, that was not his priority at hand.

The fog was treacherous. Not only was it like a labyrinth, but there were also dangers lurking at every corner. Fortunately, Chu Feng’s Heaven’s Eye worked inside the fog, allowing him to pick the right path.

It didn’t take him long to pass through the fog and arrive before a vast grassland. A breeze caused the grass to sway, sending ripples across the green field. This made a distant object even more conspicuous.

It was a tombstone!

It resembled the tombstone outside, but it was much smaller. It might not be as huge as an Upper Realm, but it resembled a sharp sword piercing into the sky. Anyone who stepped into this grassland was bound to notice it.

There were words on the tombstone too.

The tombstone outside only contained the word ‘Tomb of the Spirit Sword Reverent’, but this tombstone had peculiar runes inscribed around those six words as if an army. On top of that, these runes danced around as if they had a life of their own.

The tombstone harnessed something important, possibly the crux of this place.

But Chu Feng’s heart tensed up when he stepped into this grassland. His connection with his grandmother had been severed again.

He turned around and headed into the fog before walking back out. After repeating this a few times, he became certain that this grassland had some kind of isolation formation that even he couldn’t perceive. When inside the fog, he could faintly sense that his grandmother was in the grassland, but the feeling disappeared as soon as he entered the grassland.

As he made his way toward the tombstone, he noticed a white-robed lady floating not too far away from the tombstone. Her cultivation was concealed, and she didn’t emanate the slightest pressure.

Yet, Chu Feng could tell from her disposition that she was a formidable cultivator.

“That woman feels strong. Is she from the Heavensword Sacred Palace, or is she here to guard the tombstone?” Eggy also sensed something amiss about the woman. She stood up warily and prepared to make a move.

Chu Feng stopped approaching the tombstone and instead wandered the grassland in search of his grandmother, but he couldn’t find any traces of her. At the same time, he also circled the tombstone and saw the woman’s face.

She had a pair of light blue eyes reminiscent of frost. With eyes like that, her discernment was likely to be exceptional.

Despite being concealed, Chu Feng didn’t think he could escape that woman’s notice. He suspected that she had long noticed him, though her eyes remained fixed on the tombstone, not sparing a glance at him.

This was good news as it meant she harbored no hostility toward Chu Feng.𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

So, Chu Feng revealed himself and bowed to the woman. “Elder, I am Chu Feng. I am here to look for someone; I don’t mean to disturb you.”

He introduced himself as a sign of respect, but the white-robed woman continued ignoring Chu Feng as if she couldn’t see him. He intended to ask her identity, but since she wasn’t paying him any heed, he decided to skip the pleasantries and get to the point.

“May I know if you have met an old woman here?”

The woman didn’t respond.

“Is she deaf or blind? She’s putting on quite the act,” Eggy scoffed.

She wouldn’t hesitate to classify anyone who disrespected Chu Feng as an enemy, though she knew better than to make a reckless move here. She believed Chu Feng had his way of dealing with this situation.

Chu Feng wasn’t bothered by the woman’s lack of response. He flitted next to the white-robed woman, followed her gaze, and examined the tombstone as well. The tombstone’s runes were profound. He could discern something with his Heaven’s Eye, but it would take him a lot more time to decipher it entirely.

The white-robed woman was probably trying to decipher the runes too, which was why she ignored Chu Feng. She couldn’t be distracted, or else her efforts would be in vain.

“No wonder she ignored me. Deciphering the tombstone’s runes requires one’s complete attention, so she couldn’t respond to me,” Chu Feng explained.

“Is that so?” Eggy grunted.

Chu Feng knew he had to do something. His Heaven’s Eye was not necessarily stronger than that woman’s special eyes.

Thus, he activated the Three Realms Divine Eyes bestowed from the Spirit God and quickly saw through the tombstone. He hurriedly retracted the Three Realms Divine Eyes and constructed a formation.

The white-robed woman first glanced at the formation before finally looking at Chu Feng. “You can decipher the runes?”

“Yes, I was able to decipher it,” Chu Feng replied.

“You live up to your reputation.” The white-robed woman was delighted to hear that.

“Elder, have you heard about me?” Chu Feng asked.

“I doubt there’s anyone in the world of cultivation who hasn’t heard about you. Is the old woman you speak about your grandmother?” the white-robed woman asked.

“Yes, she is,” Chu Feng replied.

“I am Tianjian Qingyuan. I’m from the Heavensword Sacred Palace. I... know where your grandmother is.”

Tianjian Qingyuan led Chu Feng deeper into the grassland, but a short moment later, they descended to the ground. There was nothing special about this place; Chu Feng had already passed by this area during his earlier search.

“Wait for a while. It’s almost time,” Tianjian Qingyuan said.

Chu Feng didn’t know what was going on, but he waited patiently.

A furious wind soon blew across the grassland, and a sinister black vortex appeared in the sky. The vortex was humongous, spanning over ten thousand meters.

Chu Feng felt incomparably small before the vortex. Their differences lay not just in their sizes, but also in their strengths. The vortex harnessed great destructive prowess that could decimate him if he dared step into it.

“This vortex can be found in every tombstone realm, and it would appear at a specific time. I saw your grandmother entering it,” Tianjian Qingyuan said.

Chu Feng frowned.

He was confident in his grandmother’s strength, but the vortex’s destructive prowess was too terrifying. He couldn’t help but worry about his grandmother once more.

Just then, Tianjian Qingyuan stepped into the black vortex too.

The black aura manifested into countless sharp claws that swiped at her, but they dissipated before they could reach her. None of the attacks could get to her. She was extremely powerful, far surpassing ordinary Heavenly Gods!

“Help my descendants obtain the legacy here, and I’ll enter the black vortex and find your grandmother on your behalf,” Tianjian Qingyuan said.

That was the reason she stepped into the vortex. She was demonstrating her strength to negotiate with Chu Feng.
