Chapter 6650: Song Changsheng Wants to Have a Son

As the treatment continued, Fei’s condition visibly improved, but Chu Feng’s condition visibly worsened. Chu Feng’s body turned searing red like a volcano on the verge of eruption, just like the earlier Fei.

Little Fishy was distressed. She couldn’t hold herself back despite having promised not to get involved.

“Big brother, I’m a world spiritist as well. Tell me the method. I can help you.”

“It’s fine, Yu’er. I can withstand this.” Chu Feng turned around and smiled at Little Fishy.

But his response only made Little Fishy feel worse. Anyone could tell that his smile was strained, let alone her. He was in such a terrible state that she considered forceful intervention. Either Chu Feng taught her the method to treat Fei, or she would stop him.

There was no way she could watch as Chu Feng died before her eyes.

“Don’t worry, miss. They won’t die,” a voice echoed from behind Little Fishy.

Chu Feng and Fei’s eyes lit up in delight. They recognized the voice.

All of them looked over and saw a middle-aged man carrying an axe standing behind Little Fishy. Even though he had revealed himself, he still exuded no aura whatsoever. Were it not for his speaking up, they wouldn’t have noticed him at all.

He was Fei’s master, Song Changsheng.

“MASTERRRRRRRRRR! SAVE MEEEEEEEEE!!!” Fei burst into tears.

Despite still being in the form of a monstrous beast, he cried like a child who had been bullied and was looking for his parents for support. He dropped his strong front to let his grievances all out.

Song Changsheng clutched his forehead helplessly.

Looking at the nonchalant Chu Feng, followed by his sobbing disciple, he felt awkward and embarrassed.

“Elder, are you able to save them?” Little Fishy asked with a hopeful gaze.

Song Changsheng nodded.

That eased Little Fishy’s mind. She had heard about Song Changsheng’s means and knew that he was unfathomably powerful.

However, Song Changsheng seemed to be in no rush to make a move. He walked up to Chu Feng and Fei, took out a scroll, and unfurled it. “You two, take a good look at this.”

The two looked over and saw the title of the scroll—Rank four God Taboo, Soul Flame Formula.

“Master, are you telling us to cultivate a martial skill right now? It’s too painful for me to focus!” Fei grumbled.

“Rank four God Taboo? Elder, I don’t think we can cultivate a rank four God Taboo at our current levels, right?” Chu Feng asked.

He had previously received a rank four God Taboo Martial Skill from the Great Monster Slayer Emperor’s legacy, but he didn’t cultivate it because his body couldn’t withstand its impact.

One's base cultivation had to reach at least rank five Heavenly God level to cultivate it.

“If Chu Feng can focus, why can’t you do the same? He can at least see that it is a rank four God Taboo.” Song Changsheng glared at Fei.

Then, he turned to Chu Feng and explained, “Yes, this would have been impossible under normal circumstances, but this Soul Flame Formula is a rather unusual martial skill. As long as you have a sufficiently potent and compatible medium, you can cultivate and channel it.

“It is nigh impossible to absorb the searing energy generated from Fei’s forbidden skill, but it happens to be compatible with the Soul Flame Formula. Even if you aren’t able to master the skill, you should at least be able to use it to store the searing energy and prevent it from causing further harm to you.”

“I understand. Elder, is there anything to take note of when cultivating the Soul Flame Formula?” Chu Feng asked.

“Not at all. You can begin cultivating now,” Song Changsheng replied.

“All right.”

So, Chu Feng sat on the ground and formed a hand seal.

“Hold on, Chu Feng,” Song Changsheng hurriedly interjected.

Chu Feng opened his eyes and asked, “Is there anything else, elder?”

“Have you grasped the cultivation method yet?” Song Changsheng asked.

“I have.” Chu Feng nodded.

“Ah... It’s nothing. You can carry on,” Song Changsheng replied.

Chu Feng closed his eyes and began cultivating.

Song Changsheng kept a close eye on Chu Feng, ready to intervene the moment the latter made a mistake. But watching Chu Feng’s impeccable movements, he was quickly forced to admit that Chu Feng had really fully grasped the cultivation method.

“Master,” Fei called out.

Song Changsheng looked over, only to see Fei’s confused eyes.

“Master, the scroll says that I have to first fuse my bloodline power with the medium before cultivating the God Taboo, but it doesn’t mention the fusion method. How am I supposed to do it?” Fei asked.

“The searing energy came from your bloodline! How can you not know how to fuse it? Even Chu Feng has figured it out!” Song Changsheng replied in irritation.

He used to think that Fei was a prodigy, just that some concepts were too complicated for him to grasp right away. So, he had always patiently taught Fei.

It was only now that he knew that it was not the concepts that were too complicated; Fei just wasn’t talented enough. A true prodigy could decipher convoluted concepts without them being explicitly explained.

And Chu Feng was such a prodigy.

Fei was surprised by Song Changsheng’s sudden outburst. He glanced at Chu Feng and saw that the latter had already begun recovering. He immediately understood the reason behind his master’s irate response.

“Master, stop looking at Chu Feng. At this rate, you won’t even want me anymore! You can’t compare me with the likes of him. He might look like a human, but between us, he is the real monster here!” Fei exclaimed indignantly as if Song Changsheng was abandoning him.

“Elder, it would be unfair to compare anyone else with my big brother. He is indeed a true cultivation monster,” Little Fishy remarked with a grin.

Her mood lifted when she saw Chu Feng controlling the searing energy within him using the Soul Flame Formula. Her earlier anxiety dissipated, and her smile widened.

“Haaa...” Song Changsheng sighed.

He also knew that it would be irrational to compare Fei and Chu Feng. When he thought about how Chu Feng was Chu Xuanyuan’s son, for the first time in his life, he felt tempted to have his own son as well. How great it would be if his son inherited his talent!

While Song Changsheng’s thoughts were wandering, Fei desperately pleaded, “Master, I’m going to be burned to death if you don’t offer me some pointers soon!”

“All right, all right,” Song Changsheng replied impatiently.

Using his martial power, he drew the human body along with all its meridians and began explaining the fusion method to Fei.
