Chapter 6658: Jie Tianran’s Wrath
Chapter 6658: Jie Tianran’s Wrath
“What’s even funnier is how he thought he was distracting you, only to be made use of by you. Chu Feng, were you telling the truth earlier, or were you just trying to make him angry?” Long Mucheng asked with a gloating smile.
“It’s true. I deciphered the formation through his eyes. I nearly burst into laughter a few times when I thought about how he was taking my insults just to stop me from seeing the formation blueprint behind me,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“Jie Tianran has really embarrassed himself this time,” Little Fishy said with an exhilarated grin.
“Indeed. This is much better than us stealing God’s Era’s powers under his nose.” Even Long Muxi piled in on Jie Tianran.
Chu Feng understood why the crowd was so excited.
Jie Tianran had dominated the world of cultivation for many years now, getting his way in everything. No one had been able to curb him. But beneath his domineering attitude was a heart more fragile than the rest.
All his life, he had been fawned over by those around him. No one had been able to utter a word of insult in his presence. A single line of insult could easily echo in his head for ten days, let alone all the nasty words Chu Feng had uttered earlier before the entire world of cultivation.
Jie Tianran must be feeling extremely stifled right now.
“All right, let’s continue cultivating,” Chu Feng urged.
He noticed that there was no one left in the cultivation ground.
“Big brother, we’re done cultivating,” Little Fishy said.
“That’s right. Both my and my big sister’s cultivation have made significant advancements,” Long Chengyu said as he released his martial power.
He had reached rank seven True God level. It was a huge jump.
Long Muxi also revealed her martial power—she was also at rank seven True God level.
Long Chengyu was right. The Totem Dragon Clansmen benefited more from the powers than anyone else. This lent credence to Chu Feng’s conjecture that the powers were more beneficial to the Totem Dragon Clan and the Immortal Sea Clan.
“What about you, Yu’er? Were you able to make advancements in your cultivation?” Chu Feng asked.
Since the powers had been so effective on the Totem Dragon Clan, it should have been the same for Little Fishy as well. Even at rank one Heavenly God, she could stand against rank five Heavenly Gods. If she could make a breakthrough here, they wouldn’t have to fear the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and the Netherworld Sect anymore.
“Big brother, I also benefited greatly from the powers. My bloodline has been reinforced, and my fighting prowess has risen. However, I wasn’t able to make a breakthrough,” Little Fishy replied with a radiant smile.
“Shall we distribute the remaining energy? Even though you can’t use it for your cultivation anymore, you still can use it for your recovery. Keep some with you, in case of emergencies,” Chu Feng said despite knowing that they wouldn’t bear to use such invaluable energy to heal their injuries.
While the people here had already absorbed all the energy they could, they were bound to have friends or family they could share it with.
Otherwise, they could sell it for money as well.
Chu Feng wasn’t averse to that. Since he had given it to them, they were free to do whatever they wanted with it.
It was just that he couldn’t support that course of action, since some of it would surely fall into the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and the Netherworld Sect’s laps if too many people chose to do that. That would be harmful to the Chu Clan Alliance.
Chu Feng had opened the cultivation ground to everyone in the Chu Clan Alliance because he knew that each person could only absorb a limited amount of energy. The remaining energy, however, had to be distributed based on merit. It was only fair for those who contributed more to receive more.
He had wanted to give more to the crowd, but they refused and insisted that he keep more for himself. In the end, they came to a compromise.
Chu Feng would give out two-thirds of the energy, with people like Little Fishy and the Totem Dragon Clan’s Clan Chief receiving more. The weaker cultivators received less, but they still got a portion of the loot.
Everyone was satisfied with this outcome. In other organizations, the weaker cultivators wouldn’t even get a chance to access such an invaluable resource. The upper echelons would rather reserve it to nurture young prodigies.
Chu Feng took the remaining one-third. It was still a massive amount. He didn’t need that much, but Long Mucheng and the others declared that they would back out of the Chu Clan Alliance if he gave away his portion. It didn’t seem like they were joking, judging from their agitated looks.
He conceded, knowing that they were good-intentioned. Besides, he had contributed the most, so he was qualified to lay claim to the power.
After distributing the energy, Chu Feng quickly led the Chu Clan Alliance back to the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city. He wanted to see if the energy could heal Jie Tiannian and Jie Baobao or not.
Meanwhile, in the Immortal Sea Galaxy’s formation core realm, Jie Tianran stared at the imprint on his palm for a long time without saying a word. He had been like that since returning from the copper mirror.
“Lord Mansion Master, a-are you all right?” an elder asked out of concern.
Jie Tianran shot a frigid glare over. “Do I not seem all right?”
His tone was sharp and fierce.
The elder immediately realized that he was in trouble and dropped to his knees. However, a powerful suction force pulled him before Jie Tianran.
Jie Tianran grabbed the elder by his neck and asked, “I’m asking you. Do I not seem all right?”
The elder dared not utter a word.
“You must think that I am an embarrassment for letting Chu Feng play me like a fool in the copper mirror, don’t you? You think that I am incapable of taking such insults, and that my dao heart will collapse, don’t you?” Jie Tianran questioned.
But the elder couldn’t speak a word. Jie Tianran had sealed off his voice with his spirit power.
A murderous gleam gleamed in Jie Tianran’s eyes. However, he sensed other elders from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion approaching the place, so he flung that elder out with a wave of his sleeves.
“Lord Mansion Master, I was wrong! I shouldn’t have misspoken!” The elder dropped to his knees and kowtowed profusely.
But Jie Tianran was in no mood to listen to his apology. He roared, “Scram!”
The elder ran off, knowing that he was lucky to escape with his life.
The other elders had come because they were worried about Jie Tianran, but upon seeing the rage he was in, they turned tail and left.
