The Evolution of a Goblin to the Peak

Chapter 1067: Destruction of the Ekatoe City: Eztein Vashno and Franklin vs. Arie

Chapter 1067: Destruction of the Ekatoe City: Eztein, Vashno, and Franklin vs. Arie

Bang!!

Arie was pushed back. She turned her head and waved her hand, sending hundreds of rays in their direction.

"Old man!" Eztein shouted.

"I know!" Franklin replied, dashing forward.

He dodged most of the rays, but one struck him. The ray of light severed his entire arm in an instant.

"Ugh!"

Franklin spat a mouthful of blood.

Swoosh!!

Eztein was already behind Arie. He channeled his mana into the [Hell Fiend Spear] and swung it with full force.

"You piece of shit!" Arie quickly turned around and roared. She fired another round of rays.

Eztein narrowed his eyes as he braced himself against the incoming attacks. He threw the spear into the air and tried to avoid the rays of light. He was too close, so he knew it would be impossible to avoid getting hit.

He moved his body as quickly as he could. As long as he avoided fatal hits that could kill him, it was fine—he had a parasite.

Bang! Bang!!

His arm and leg were severed. Blood splashed in midair as a huge gaping hole appeared in his stomach. Eztein gritted his teeth as the pain he was experiencing was excruciating.

"Go!" he shouted.

Vashno rose above and grabbed the spear that Eztein had thrown earlier. He infused it with a large amount of energy before hurling it toward Arie.

Swoosh!!

Arie raised her head, and an arc of light flashed before her.

Boom!!

A huge explosion echoed as the ground vibrated violently. Smoke and dust filled the area, and energy sparks flew every second.

Vashno landed on the ground, the spear returning to his hand. Eztein and Franklin also descended, their injuries already healed.

"Did you get her?" Eztein asked.

"No," Vashno answered, tossing the spear back to Eztein.

"That's expected. If that attack could easily kill her, then we probably wouldn't need to work together," Franklin commented.

At most, that attack would only damage their opponent. The three of them knew it would take more than that if they wanted to defeat Arie.

"We're lucky the barrier formation is still active," Vashno said.

Eztein placed his hand in his pocket and pulled out three potions. He handed one to Franklin and another to Vashno.

"Mana potion... It'll replenish your energy for a while. After she gets up, we won't have the chance to replenish our energy," Eztein said.

Vashno and Franklin nodded and hurriedly opened the potions, drinking the liquid inside.

Boom!!

The smoke cleared as Arie struggled to stand, writhing in pain. Her face contorted as she clutched her side.

"W-What is this?! Argh....!!!" Arie gritted her teeth, trying to endure the excruciating pain.

Vashno, Eztein, and Franklin exchanged looks before nodding in unison.

"Let's go!" Vashno said.

The [Hell Fiend Spear] amplified any sort of pain to an extreme degree. Even if the target couldn't feel pain, the spear had the ability to force the sensation onto them. It was useless even if the target blocked their pain sensory; they would still experience intense agony.

It wouldn't deal high damage, but it would cause the target to lose focus.

"Hahaha! This could even work on an undead skeleton who doesn't have nerves, so..." Eztein laughed as he dashed forward.

Vashno and Franklin followed suit. The three of them split up, each going in a different direction to attack.

Suddenly, an immense pressure descended from above. Eztein, Vashno, Franklin, Arie, and everyone in the city felt it. They all paused for a moment as the intense pressure washed over them.

"Shit!" Eztein widened his eyes and turned his head.

Franklin and Vashno did the same, staring in the direction of the central area.

ROAR!!!

A fearsome roar echoed throughout the entire city.

"She's going all out..." Eztein muttered.

He knew what this meant in his heart.

The tremendous beast's feram swept uncontrollably across the city, disregarding both foe and ally. Those who failed to evacuate collapsed to the ground, struggling to breathe.

The central area instantly became a dead zone. No one was alive there except for Kessa and the person she was fighting.

She had entered her released form, and those who were too late had been sacrificed.

Death.

Exposure to this level of energy could instantly kill any ordinary person.

And then...

Boom!! Boom!!

Several powerful explosions erupted from the central area. Everyone in the city could see them when they looked up. The intensity of the battle was escalating with each passing moment.

"There's no time!" Vashno shouted.

Eztein and Franklin immediately moved.

Arie noticed their presence. She gritted her teeth and, without hesitation, fired thousands of rays of light.

"Die!!"

She was trying to vent the pain she was experiencing. The three of them closed in, exchanging blows with her. It was easy to predict her attacks now that she had lost her cool, but Eztein and Franklin still got hit due to the speed of her strikes.

Bang! Bang!

Arie's pain began to accumulate every time she was struck by the [Hell Fiend Spear]. It felt as though she was being tortured while fighting.

It was the first time she had experienced such horrible pain.

...

In the Guardian Fortress.

"It's too late to save more people now," Torkez muttered, his voice heavy with regret.

Kessa's opponent was stronger than he had expected. To force her to use her released form, even with the suppression from the barrier formation, was no small feat. It was truly something else, and it didn't bode well for them.

The only region that was holding its ground was the south.

Torkez turned his head and focused on the projection in the south. Vashno, Franklin, and Eztein were holding their own against a powerful opponent. They were managing to contend with that woman.

"I hope they finish it soon, or their dream power will run out."

Torkez knew that they couldn't use dream power for long. But it was the only way to stand a chance against that woman.

He glanced at the soldiers in the south. They were waiting for an opportunity to support the trio, but the immense pressure from Kessa made it difficult to move. Timing was crucial.

Torkez shifted his gaze to the projection of the north.

...

In the north.

"Go!" Isabella shouted as she jumped into the air.

Yuko immediately unleashed her flames, fiercely tackling the giant golem in front of her.

Bang!!

The flames spread out, engulfing the surroundings.

Isabella landed on a high perch and glanced left and right. She saw three more golems advancing toward them.

She turned to the witches and said, "Retreat and wait for an opportunity to attack. Let Yuko take the front."

As soon as she spoke, her presence blended into the surroundings.

Bang! Bang!

Yuko continued to clash with the giant golem. The ground trembled as the flames around her erupted like a volcano.

Isabella observed the battle for a few seconds before making her move. She dashed through the air, unnoticed by anyone.

She arrived above the three golems and reached into the bag on her back, pulling out a few potions.

She threw the potions toward the golems. The bottles shattered on the tough bodies of the golems, and the liquid inside quickly turned into foam.

Ohm!!

The foam instantly expanded, covering all three golems.

Then, Isabella threw another potion, but this one was different from the others. As soon as it made contact with the foam, the bottle shattered, and the liquid inside immediately reacted.

Boom!!

A massive explosion erupted, engulfing the three golems.

The explosion was strong, but Isabella knew it wasn't enough.

As the smoke cleared, the three golems stood tall. However, her goal wasn't to destroy them—she only needed to slow them down.

The knees of the three golems were submerged in a sticky red liquid on the ground. This was the result of the combination of her potions.

Isabella turned her head and glanced at the tallest golem. She had wanted to assassinate the one atop, but her previous attempt had failed miserably. That one was incredibly powerful.

The only thing she was relieved about was that the golems weren't concentrated on them. While they fought, the other golems were searching the area, trying to locate the source of the barrier formation.

At that moment, a rain of attacks fell, striking the golems and causing a series of explosions.

Leef and the other witches launched their attack.

Boom!!

Even after taking the hits, the golems still stood tall. They had tough defenses but low mobility, which allowed them to avoid many of the strikes.

The man who looked like a young boy observed them. His name was Walfen.

Walfen watched them battling the golems for a moment before casting a quick glance toward the central area.

"I need to finish this quickly," he muttered before waving his hand.

His energy erupted, and a change swept through all the golems in the area.

"Activate Berserk Mode... Destroy everything."
