Chapter 4151: The Strongest Strike
Everyone in the Allsense Megaverse looked up to see space shatter and collapse. Seeing that they were about to be crushed filled them with despair and horror, leaving many stupefied.
They were not afraid of death. After all, they had chosen to fight in a war between civilizations, but this sight was beyond courage. They were flooded with the instinctive despair of life facing annihilation.
Luo Yan and Hui Can were both present, focused solely on Mo Bai to ensure that she could not flee. At this point, Mo Bai had no intention of running. After all, there was nowhere to go.
If her master won, she would live. If her master lost—well, that was simply impossible. Her master could not lose.
Master Qing Cao’s expression was grave. Lu Yin, what are you trying to do? Will you really allow everyone here to die?
Universes popped and cracked as tears in the void fell, ripping apart universes. The ground caved in, the entire sky burned, and lightning fell in sheets. Everything was devoured by the rips in the void.
Suddenly, Lu Yin merged with the will of the megaverse again, accepting all of the pressure bearing down on the Allsense Megaverse onto himself. In an instant, his body returned to normal with Extremes Must Be Reversed, and then he released a Willforce Wave. A hand rose and pointed at the green stalk as a dark ripple shot out from a fingertip.
That dark ripple replaced the sky, becoming the only color in the Aevum Inch as it pressed down on the endless darkness and filled everyone’s sight.
In a blink, all of the pressure vanished. All that remained was the dark ripple.
At the same time, the green stalk released a green beam to meet the dark ripple.
Whoosh.
Then, there was silence, as both light and sound alike were swallowed by the Aevum Inch.
The only thing that Master Qing Cao and the others saw was the Aevum Inch warp, followed by a vast ripple spreading out, shattering everything nearby as it expanded out of sight.
The darkness and green alternated and clashed head-on.
At that moment, Lu Yin had actually blocked an attack from the Immortal Lord.
No one had expected Lu Yin to be able to go so far.
Such a blow could erase an ordinary Immortal like Ku Deng. Only top experts, such as Greater Sancti Awe Gate and Blood Tower could fight back against such an attack, and even they might not come out unscathed.
And yet Lu Yin had taken it directly.
Not only were Green Lotus and the rest baffled, but the Immortal Lord was even more confused.
Is an Aberrant capable of doing this much?
Blood appeared on Lu Yin’s lips as the Allsense Megaverse trembled. This was his Willforce Wave.
The pressure that reached the limit of an entire megaverse was transformed into a counterforce through Extremes Must Be Reversed and then released while Lu Yin was merged with the megaverse. So far, this was the strongest attack that Lu Yin was capable of unleashing. It was not even possible through his own strength, as it originated from the damage that the Immortal Lord had wreaked on the Allsense Megaverse.
The greater the Immortal Lord’s attack, the stronger the Willforce Wave that Lu Yin could unleash.
Had the Immortal Lord targeted Lu Yin alone and not the megaverse, the Willforce Wave would have been useless.
Fortunately, Lu Yin had taken the right gamble.
With Luo Chan in peril, the Immortal Lord had sought to destroy everything. It was that exact mindset that had allowed him to use the Willforce Wave.
It had allowed Lu Yin to release a mythical attack.
Before becoming an Immortal, he might never reproduce such a blow, but even just doing so once was already enough.
It was enough because it had cowed the Immortal Lord.
The Immortal Lord truly was badly shaken. Even Master Qing Cao was stunned, and he stared at Lu Yin in disbelief. Is this man a monster? How could he release such a blow?
For that moment, everyone fell silent.
Even the Immortal Lord was struck speechless.
While they had not lost the exchange, the fact that Lu Yin had successfully blocked the Immortal Lord’s blow was victory enough.
Lu Yin stared at the Immortal Lord, a smile on his lips. “Today, I’ll take not only Luo Chan, but also you. I’ll see what you truly are.”
He stretched out a hand, and the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm poured down endless karma. Vast streams of karma moved like arms as they formed a ring, and the darkness was illuminated by karma.
This was the second time that Lu Yin had illuminated the Aevum Inch.
Before, he had done so with that dark ripple, but this time, he was doing so with karma.
Karma replaced the cosmos and the darkness. It was as if all of reality had been exchanged and then gathered at his fingertip. “The Thousand Faces of Karma: Karmic Heavenwheel.”
An unimaginable, majestic power pressed down upon every heart, Master Qing Cao’s included.
When he looked at Lu Yin, it was as though he was seeing Greater Sancte Green Lotus.
At that moment, Qing Cao could not tell if Lu Yin or Green Lotus was releasing the attack.
The Karmic Heavenwheel made even Qing Cao shudder. He felt a chill that shot straight between his brows.
The green stalk vanished. The Immortal Lord... had fled.
Staring out at the emptiness before him, Lu Yin calmly dispersed the karma. This outcome might have been expected, but it was also a bit unexpected.
The Immortal Lord was terrifyingly powerful. Their pressure had seemed capable of crushing the entire Aevum Inch. Lu Yin had no doubt that the Immortal Lord possessed an unseen world comparable to the size and scale of the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm.
It was foolish to fight against such a master without being confident of victory, or at least being certain that defeat was not possible. If not, a grim fate would be a certain outcome.
Step by step. That was the way to face such an opponent.
First, Master Qing Cao had attacked. An Immortal had stood up to show the Immortal Lord that humanity had more Immortals than what the Nest civilization was aware of. Next, Lu Yin had unleashed an attack capable of shocking even the Immortal Lord. Finally, he had wielded the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm in a bid to truly intimidate the enemy Immortal.
Lu Yin was all too familiar with how a weak individual’s schemes could leave the powerful wary, as he had frequently used them over the years. In contrast, Green Lotus was far less versed in such schemes. It was possible that the man had stood at the top for too long, which might explain why he had urged Lu Yin to strike too soon.
Had Lu Yin opened with the Karmic Heavenwheel, he might still be engaged in battle with the Immortal Lord. They would have likely risked everything in order to seize Lu Yin and Master Qing Cao in a bid to trade them for Luo Chan. On the other hand, after Lu Yin blocked their attack, an Immortal had stood at his side and the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm had loomed above, the Immortal Lord had no longer been able to read the board.
More importantly, everything had been a trap laid out for the Immortal Lord. If it was a trap, then the humans were confident that they could deal with the Immortal Lord. That was the true reason why they had fled. They did not believe that the humans were stupid enough to lay a trap that they could not spring.
Even so, Lu Yin had expected to need to release the Karmic Heavenwheel to drive the Immortal Lord off. Apparently, the creature was even more cautious than Lu Yin had expected.
Such caution felt like the lesson learned from a previous loss. Could it be because of the previously leaked coordinates?
Right, there were cracks on that green stalk. If the Immortal Lord did meet the Hui-Silver Sky Army at those coordinates, then they would be even more on edge after learning that the Allsense Megaverse was a trap. They would see one linked to the other.
The Allsense Megaverse fell silent. The disappearance of the green stalk showed that the Immortal Lord was gone.
Moments later, countless cheers erupted. This was the first time that Lu Yin had revealed his ability to merge with the will of a megaverse to the cultivators from the Nine Odysseys Megaverse. The sight of his power encompassing an entire megaverse had shaken their very souls.
Whether it was the Willforce Wave or the Karmic Heavenwheel, both of Lu Yin’s attacks had incited fervent adoration, and it had even eased some of the bitterness of parting.
Mo Bai stared up at the sky. How? Master retreated? Driven back by Lu Yin? Impossible... Impossible!
“Hahaha! Master! Master, you’re incredible! Master!” Hui Can shouted, trembling with excitement.
Luo Yan was also elated, and he clenched his fists tightly.
The people of the Tianyuan were used to seeing Lu Yin accomplish the impossible, but the people of the Nine Odysseys Megaverse and the Spirit Nidus rarely experienced such feats. At this moment, they burned with the same fervor, and they started seeing Lu Yin as though they were looking at a god.
Mo Bai could run. Neither Hui Can nor Luo Yan were able to stop her, but what would that mean? It would accomplish nothing at all.
She could not escape from the Allsense Megaverse, and even if she slipped into a parallel universe, someone as powerful as Lu Yin would eventually catch her.
Powerless, she closed her eyes. Ultimately, it was her total defeat.
In the middle of outer space, Lu Yin turned to direct a faint smile at Master Qing Cao. “Senior, we should head back.”
Master Qing Cao looked at Lu Yin with a complicated expression. “How did you do it?”
Lu Yin feigned puzzlement. “Do what?”
“Merge with the will of the megaverse.”
“Didn’t you already see that in the Tianyuan?”
“But this is the Allsense Megaverse.”
Lu Yin smiled. “It’s all the same.”
Master Qing Cao stared, dazed. All the same? How can it be the same?
Merging with the will of a megaverse was treated as a joke throughout the Aevum Inch. It was already miraculous that Lu Yin had succeeded with the Tianyuan, and yet he had just done it with the Allsense Megaverse.
This megaverse hardly contained any living creatures, and yet Lu Yin could still unite with its will. That indicated that he could do the same with any megaverse.
That was terrifying.
There was also that dark ripple which had met the Immortal Lord’s attack head-on, not to mention the final finger strike. The young man’s power felt endless.
It was already too late. Qing Cao knew that he could no longer do anything to Lu Yin. It was far too late for that.
Back when Boundless had left the Tianyuan on its expedition to the Spirit Nidus, Qing Cao could have easily disposed of Lu Yin. Had he acted then, things would have developed far differently.
He had watched Lu Yin grow. Even when Lu Yin fled back to the Spirit Nidus, pursued by an Immortal beast, Qing Cao could have still ended the young man. Even then, it had not been too late.
But now, it had truly become too late.
Lu Yin’s attention then fell back onto Mo Bai. Seeing the hint of a smile in his eyes chased every thought out of her mind. From start to finish, this human had been toying with her.
Lu Yin was in a good mood, an excellent mood. The Immortal Lord’s strike of anger and subsequent retreat had to be related to Luo Chan, which served as proof that Greater Sancte Blood Tower had also succeeded.
Luo Chan had been captured.
Luo Chan was the creature that had rendered humanity completely helpless, despite having multiple Immortals. Luo Chan alone had been able to tilt the balance of war, and it had pressed the human civilization down. Luo Chan had been a constant threat to the Tianyuan. That megaverse had been the bugs’ first target when war against the Nest civilization erupted, and from that moment on, it had been at risk of being reset.
Without Lu Yin’s repeated breakthroughs, the Tianyuan would have already been reset.
Teleportation was an ability that was nearly impossible to counter. As long as Luo Chan was prepared, catching it was impossible. Lu Yin had tried, and so had Greater Sancte Green Lotus, but both had failed.
Even when Luo Chan was trapped within the Terminus Cycle, that had only happened because the Immortal Lord had done nothing. Had the Immortal Lord intervened while Green Lotus was absent, then forget trapping Luo Chan—the entire human civilization would have been in peril.
That thought still left Lu Yin with chills. Had they known how vital Luo Chan was to the Nest civilization, they would have never tried to target the bug, as doing so would risk antagonizing the Immortal Lord. That was a risk that humanity could not have afforded at all.
To counter teleportation, it was necessary to either be faster or to anticipate things before they happened.
Humans could not teleport, but intelligence could move even faster than instantaneous movement.
Luo Chan had finally been captured. Lu Yin had waited far too long for this moment.
He could not wait to return and see the bug, the one that possessed the most fearsome ability he had ever encountered in the Aevum Inch, as well as the ability that he desired the most.
The Allsense Megaverse had served as bait. That act could finally end.
Everyone boarded the battleships, and a single green lotus leaf then towed them back towards the Nine Odysseys Megaverse.
