Chapter 4619: It Is You

Chapter 4619: It Is You

Xiang Siyu's eyes were beautiful, so beautiful that they seemed to not belong to the mortal world.

Lu Yin's gaze could still see into the distance with the Jumping Line of Sight, and he could also see his immediate surroundings. He simply could not leave.

It clearly only required a single step, and yet that step was as difficult as ascending to the heavens.

"Refusing an invitation to join the Sequence of a Primacy Path is deemed disrespectful. Resisting the stripping of a civilization's power is deemed insolence. You deserve death." The white figure spoke, its voice slowly drifting over. As its words rang out, the mockery in Xiang Siyu's eyes grew colder, and they slowly shifted away. It was as though she no longer wished to even look at Lu Yin.

Even a single glance was a favor granted.

Lu Yin tried everything possible to move, and yet he simply could not. This entire space was no longer under his control.

But even if he could not move himself, he still needed to throw Manifest City away. The farther, the better. How could he allow human civilization to be destroyed so easily?

Holding Manifest City tightly in one hand, Lu Yin hurled it away with his full strength. Space collapsed once more. No matter how great the power that he unleashed, it still vanished into nothingness. The dissipation of force caused by this collapsing space far surpassed the Clear Sky Locked Earth Array. The power was drained away in an instant. It was as though the power did not even exist.

Lu Yin’s heart was gripped by powerful despair. Was this truly the end?

Looking back, he had done so much. He had made so many preparations, considered so many schemes, and encountered so many opportunities. He had risked his life and experienced so much more, but before this power, none of that was of any use at all.

How could he be so powerless? He had clearly already stepped into the Immortal realm, and yet even if he threw his own life away, he still could not release his full power, as Ancestor Shan once had.

Lu Yin was supposed to have become very strong.

He weakly lowered his arm and stared into the darkness of the cosmos.

Xiang Siyu's eyes had turned away completely. This human was far too foolish. He had deluded himself into trying to use the “luck” characters to alter his own fate, not realizing that his attempt had merely drawn her over. She was the embodiment of Fate. If not for that, he might have still had a chance to at least try to escape. But now, there was absolutely no chance at all.

After being left out for so long, this region of the Aevum Inch would finally have to be taken back.

Boom.

A tremendous sound rang out, shaking Manifest City.

Lu Yin looked into the city. There, between the Tianyuan and the Nine Odysseys Megaverse lay a branch of the River of Aeons. Lu Yin had taken the local branch of the River of Aeons along with the megaverses. Naturally, he had also taken Zhao Ran and the Mirari Realm.

The Mirari Realm was the banks of the River of Aeons.

This noise rang out from one of the Mirari Realm’s forbidden regions.

Lu Yin had not yet fully explored the various forbidden regions of the Mirari Realm. He had only explored the one related to karma and the one that Hong Shuang had disappeared into. There were several others that he had never examined.

The sound came from one of those unexplored forbidden regions.

A beam of light shot out from that area, piercing the Mirari Realm, piercing the Tianyuan, and even piercing Manifest City as it shot straight into outer space.

It was immediately followed by beams of light shooting out from the other forbidden regions as well. They all emerged from Manifest City, settling into outer space, where they moved nonstop. Eventually, they formed a sourcebox array in the Aevum Inch.

Lu Yin stared at this sourcebox array in a daze. What is this?

The appearance of the sourcebox array suddenly allowed Lu Yin to move again. The power of space, time, physical strength, and everything else recovered.

At the same time, the gray power of time flowed from the sourcebox array and drifted closer to Lu Yin. He reached out and touched the gray mist.

Suddenly, it was as though he was moving through time. He saw a pair of eyes open in some unknown point in the distant past, and they met his gaze.

This was another pair of eyes, but unlike Xiang Siyu's, these eyes were filled with wisdom and kindness. They looked at Lu Yin and seemed to hold countless words that could not be spoken.

His vision shifted yet again, and Lu Yin watched as a group of people entered outer space, apparently fleeing. They eventually entered a megaverse, and as they did so, several invisible beams entered as well, and they landed in the forbidden regions of the local Mirari Realm.

Lu Yin quivered, and his vision returned to normal.

He could still see into the distance with the Jumping Line of Sight while also making out his immediate surroundings. What he had just witnessed had clearly only lasted for a mere instant, and yet it had felt endless. Time had become completely chaotic.

He saw that the white figure had retreated a great distance, forced back by the sourcebox array.

He saw Xiang Siyu's eyes return to him. For the first time, they revealed astonishment. Immediately following that surprise was endless killing intent. "It is you."

Lu Yin's mind started to race. He grabbed Manifest City again and vanished, teleporting away.

He finally left where he had been trapped.

The white figure remained, and Xiang Siyu emerged from the void. Earlier, only her gaze had settled on the area, which had made it difficult for Lu Yin to escape. However, she was now making a personal appearance.

She stared intently into the distance, muttering to herself, "Some backup plan that you left behind? Did you see this future, or did you calculate it? If you were truly so wise, the Nine Ramparts would have never fallen. Hmph! If you want to play, then I will play along and see what these humans can actually do.

"In the end, you are still nothing but rats." After saying this, she also disappeared.

Elsewhere, the various members of Obscura returned to Vestigium, one after another. All of them were arriving with their actual bodies.

Ba Se's voice rang out, "Wait a bit longer. Any that do not arrive will have to fend for themselves. At this moment, only Vestigium is safe."

"Hehe, how truly frightening," Old Man Hehe commented while swaying.

Furball was nervous. "What is going on? Exactly what is happening?"

"If you do not know, why did you return to Vestigium?" Old Man Hehe asked.

Furball’s breathing was ragged. Of course they had returned. The green giant had been fighting against the Death Megaverse when the entire Aevum Inch had abruptly changed. It had felt as though they were being swallowed, and the only safe place that Furball could think of was Vestigium, so they had returned.

Hearing Ba Se’s comment upon returning was completely unexpected. Clearly, they knew something.

"Ba Se, just what is going on?" Furball asked again.

Ba Se spoke slowly, "It is merely time to collect a debt. Obscura, it is time to move."

Even farther away, at the Plume Immortals' great tree, one Plume Immortal after another soared up and then vanished, teleporting away.

In the Mudwater Dominion, Ni Bieluo erected a bridge and then continuously moved through the Aevum Inch, glancing back from time to time. This was a complete disaster. At this moment, even it could sense nothing but disaster. It could not stay in that place.

All life had the instinct to seek fortune and avoid calamity, but at this moment, how many could escape? Some civilizations had already escaped. Some would never escape.

***

Clang, clang, clang.

The sound of weapons clashing rang near Lu Yin’s ears.

He was on a primitive planet. With the help of the Jumping Line of Sight, he had teleported to this planet. After confirming that the white figure had not followed him, he took some time to recuperate. Because his karmic chain had reached completion, his cultivation was constantly dissipating. This was probably exactly what Ancestor Shan had felt back then.

Lu Yin’s falling cultivation meant that he could only restrain his aura. There was nothing more that he could do.

To prevent the power of the Primacy Paths from reappearing, he also avoided releasing Manifest City. He waited quietly.

While waiting, he deliberately obtained the Jumping Line of Sight from Qing Yun again and also ordered Qian Shu to continue drawing “luck” characters. Even if Lu Yin was targeted again, he would never give up. If he could flee, he would continue to do so.

It was possible that he had already traveled far enough, but he simply did not know how far he was from the Trio’s original location.

The power of the Primacy Paths never descended. Instead, he had attracted the attention of the natives on the primitive planet.

There were two species on this planet, and they were clearly at war. Lu Yin was actually the cause of their war.

Beings from both species had discovered him at the same time, and they both wanted to seize him.

To Lu Yin, such creatures meant nothing. It was no different from a human encountering ants. He did not even consider speaking with the creatures, and he simply let them fight over him.

He had restrained his aura, but his physical defenses remained unaltered. After testing the strange creature, the two species’ war had erupted into even greater ferocity, as they both were fighting for him.

The war raged for several months, lasting until one side won and surrounded Lu Yin.

He calmly looked at the creatures.

They had sharp mouths and thin faces. Their forms looked a great deal like monkeys. However, they had developed their own civilization and were even capable of cultivating. The strongest of them was equal to a Progenitor, which was quite impressive. These creatures were stronger than the Fifth Mainland when Lu Yin had first started cultivating. Back then, the strongest person in the Fifth Mainland had only been a Semi-Progenitor.

Although this species had won their war and surrounded Lu Yin, they were not disrespectful to him. In fact, they were very respectful.

A possible reason for that was that, during their earlier testing of him, they had been completely unable to harm this stranger.

That was right, they had tested him.

Lu Yin had not dodged and had allowed them to attack him. Their efforts were no different from ants trying to bite a shoe. They could not bite through it, and the person wearing the shoes would not be able to feel anything.

Lu Yin's karmic chain was complete, and he truly did not want to move. He was merely using this as a resting place to test whether the power of the Primacy Paths would pursue him.

From the looks of things, it would not. The power of the Primacy Paths in this region of the Aevum Inch showed not even the slightest trace of chaos.

However, there was something different, a feeling that he could not put into words. All he knew for sure was that this place was different from the region of the Aevum Inch where he had been before.

"Honored lifeform, please accept our race's humble request and grant us sufficient time." The most powerful creature knelt before Lu Yin in worship. Behind that creature, the rest of its species also knelt to Lu Yin.

Only then did Lu Yin’s thoughts turn to his surroundings.

Although he did not know how far he had traveled, since he had arrived in a new place and the power of the Primacy Paths had not followed him, there were some things that he could do.

The biggest problem was that his karmic chain was now fully complete. Not only was his true body unable to take any action at all, but his cultivation was also constantly dissipating. If he forced himself to act again, he could easily fall from the Immortal realm, following in Ancestor Shan’s footsteps. Lu Yin’s strength could easily fall lower and lower until he died in battle.

In this unfamiliar region of the Aevum Inch, he hopefully would not encounter a dangerous situation anytime soon.

At the very least, when he used the Mirrorlight Art to look around, he could not find any powerful civilizations. The maximum strength within this megaverse was only equal to the Progenitor realm, and of the cosmic civilizations that he occasionally saw with the Mirrorlight Art, their cultivation did not seem very high either.

Lu Yin looked back at the creatures kneeling before him. "What time?"

The leading creature answered respectfully, "Any time will do, so long as it can be offered to the Divine Palace. Honored powerhouse, if you have any needs, our race will definitely do everything possible to meet them."

Divine Palace? Lu Yin's eyes stirred. Now, this was interesting. The more primitive the place, the more the natives would care about things like gods. The concept of "god" represented omnipotence, but in truth, it also represented ignorance.

Because creatures were ignorant, they believed gods to be omnipotent.

To this particular species, it was even possible that a sequence powerhouse would be considered a god.

Before long, Lu Yin gained a bit of knowledge regarding this local region of the Aevum Inch.

That was absolutely shocking. He could almost not believe it. This megaverse clearly only had beings as strong as Progenitors, and yet they had knowledge of the Aevum Inch and even communicated with creatures from other megaverses, trading cultivation resources and more. All of this originated from the Divine Palace.

There were gods in the Divine Palace, but the term "god" did not refer to a lofty being in the traditional sense. Rather, it was a title given to those who engaged in communication, instruction, transportation, battle, and any similar work that made the Aevum Inch smaller

That was right, the “gods” were workers. One could even say that they were tools.

This was completely outside of Lu Yin’s expectations.
