That dark presence suddenly entered the thug faster than I could stop it, as his eyes widened, turning deep red, and bleeding.

"U-Ugh… Agh…"

"What's gotten into him?" Takamura asked. "Were you too rough Sakamoto?"

"No I made sure to not kill him but-"

"GAAAAHHHH!"

Heisuke and Takamura stepped back as the thug started screaming loudly, putting his hands inside of his head.

"You've talked too much, damned insect."

"I'm sorry! I'm sorryyyyyy!"

As he screamed, I could hear a voice from within the thug, but it seemed that nobody else could.

What's going on?

"If you're truly sorry, then you won't mind what will happen to you, right?!"

"W-What? Wait, wait a second! AAAAGGGHH!"

However, before he could do anything, his entire skin suddenly started peeling off, as flames engulfed him completely.

"Woah he's burning?!" Takamura asked.

"What?" Heisuke prepared himself for battle. "No, he's not burning, this power… Demonic Energy?!"

RUMBLE!

He wasn't wrong, what emanated from that man was Demonic Energy.

And that voice… I could swear I've heard it from somewhere? Or perhaps… not me, but the memories I've absorbed from someone else.

FLUOSH!

The body of the thug transformed while the flames consumed him entirely, becoming thrice as big, muscular, and blazing with flames all over.

Even his hair had become like flames, blazing by the wind, while his fiery body burned absolutely everything in his surroundings.

"Haaaa… Haaaa… T-This power…! What is this?!"

The thug was shocked, glancing at his own body, shocked.

And yet…

"Isn't it great, puny mortal? To have power? Now how about you crush those for me while you're at it…"

As the voice spoke, its presence disappeared, leaving behind this crazed, transformed man and nothing else.

As he laughed, more flames spread everywhere, burning the nearby buildings.

"I'LL BURN EVERYTHING! BURN TO CINDERS YOU FUCKERS!"

The monstrous thug rushed forward, his gigantic blazing fists moving towards Heisuke.

"Sakamoto!"

Takamura panicked, as I ran towards him to help out.

However.

"Don't worry about him young lady."

Uzuki's hand touched my shoulder, as he looked at me with a confident, lazy smile.

"Eh? But…! That's a demon!"

"He's not the twelfth ranked assassin for nothing… please, trust him."

"…!"

I looked at Heisuke, who remained calm even after everything happened, readjusting his glasses while keeping one of his hands inside his pocket.

The blazing fists reached him in that moment, as his golden aura erupted.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Dozens of blazing punches impacted his body from all angles, while explosions of demonic flames erupted.

A normal human would simply be consumed by such flames and have both their bodies and souls turned to ashes!

And yet…

"G-GUH?!"

The Demonic Human gasped, as he realized something, his punches had never landed Sakamoto, the white-haired man looking at him serious, without even smiling.

"It felt as if… he evaded all blows, but without even moving?" I muttered. "How's that possible?"

"Heh, that's Sakamoto-san for you," Uzuki said with a confident smile. "Just watch, young lady."

"…" I fell into silence, as I watched this man known as Sakamoto Heisuke.

And I began to finally understand why my father trusted him so much.

"W-WHY CAN'T I HIT YOU?!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Countless explosions of demonic flames erupted, and yet… Sakamoto was never hit! His golden aura simply… somehow, twisted… reality? Or something? What's going on?

I'm shocked that not even I can properly tell what's happening!

This world is insane.

"Are you done hitting me?"

Heisuke suddenly took from his pocket a single coin; it was a five-yen coin of golden color.

It was imbued with that aura.

"Flip the coin, heads or tail?"

"WHAT?!"

"Okay, you're heads."

Heisuke threw the coin at lightning speed towards the Demonic Human, smashing their chest with it and releasing an explosion of golden light and flames.

BOOOM!

"Uuuggh?!"

The Demonic Human hit the floor and rolled through the streets, vomiting blood and glancing at us Sakamoto in disbelief and anger.

"A-A single coin…?!" he muttered, realizing that there was something weird.

"Looks like it was tails, I win," Heisuke said.

FLASH!

Heisuke's Aura suddenly grew thrice as powerful.

Wait, what?!

RUMBLE!

The Demonic Human rushed towards him, as Heisuke quickly leaped into the skies and then moved his legs down, kicking his head into the pavement.

BOOOM!

"Heads or tails?"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Heisuke threw a coin into the skies as it fell, the Demonic Human's fists rushed towards him.

And in that moment, as I concentrated and used my Cosmic Eyes…

I saw it.

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!

His Golden Aura suddenly pushed away the fist from ever reaching him, it wasn't spatial abilities or a magic barrier though.

It was as if… causality itself was manipulated.

And at that moment, the coin reached the Demonic Human's head, smashing him into the floor with immense force.

CRAAASH!

"UGH?!"

The thug vomited blood as his eyes and nose bled even more, his flames started growing weaker.

"Looks like it's tails again, I am in a winning spree… Hey, do you like gambling?"

"…What?!"

"I do."

Sakamoto snapped his fingers.

FLASH!

And a bright explosion of light erupted from the coin.

BOOOM!

The explosion of light engulfed him completely, burning his entire body agonizingly, his demonic powers rapidly dissipating.

"AAAAAGGGH!"

As he screamed, for a moment, he suddenly gained a second wind as he ate one of the pills that was on the floor.

"HEHEH…!"

FLUOSH!

His flames erupted once more, turning blue as he gained a pair of black horns!

"Oh no, he's gotten bigger…" Takamura muttered.

"Sakamoto-san, please wrap this up quickly~" Uzuki yawned.

"Very well, I suppose this is enough for the young lady," Sakamoto nodded, readjusting his glasses, as the giant Demonic Human charged at him at full power.

"DIEEEEE!"

His blazing flames erupted, forming a gigantic explosion of blue flames, about to engulf everything.

And yet…

Sakamoto threw two coins at the flames.

"Heads or tails? I choose tails."

And then snapped his fingers again.

FLAAASH!
