Chapter 2794 - 2795: Encounter Between Villain And Protagonist

"Hello, young man. I am the CEO of Gate Corporation," my father said, presenting a card.
"E-Eh? Huh?!" the man gasped. "B-Boss?!"
"Yes, I am your boss, and the boss of your boss, and the boss of your boss's boss," my father said. "And this is my daughter, the legitimate heir to all my wealth and company."
"Hello," I said.
"I-It's an honor to meet you both!" the Japanese man said, trembling as he bowed to us.
"No need to bow," my father said. "More importantly, I'd like to purchase some items. Charge them to my card. My dear daughter and I came to buy snacks, as we're feeling hungry today."
"S-Sure! Take anything you need!" the minimart owner said. "Free of charge, of course, since you own everything here!"
"Good," my father nodded. "Come on, dear, pick whatever you want for yourself and your friends. What does that kid, Frank, like?"
"Ah, hmm, I always see him eating katsu sandwiches," I said. "But he also enjoys the bento lunches his mother makes… I think he has a sweet tooth too."
I quickly grabbed a few items for myself. Food from Earth was always incredibly tasty, even compared to what was produced in my own Realm.
I believe this is due to its authenticity as Earth food, not imitations… and because every ingredient used is at least a low-grade cosmic ingredient.
These snacks are like small cosmic elixirs! I love eating them because they satisfy my hunger and revitalize me, unlike ordinary food that has no effect and tastes bland.
Of course, they can't be compared to actual potions made with Alchemy, which are like consumable cosmic treasures.
"Alright, that's all… Hm, do you have any energy drinks?" my father asked.
"Y-Yes, take all these!" the minimart owner said.
"Thank you. I have tons of paperwork to do today, you see," my father laughed heartily.
"I-I see! Being a CEO must be exhausting…" the man said.
"It is," my father nodded. "Anyway, let's go."
My father walked with me to the entrance of Tokyo High School.
There, we saw familiar faces.
Namely, my wives—or rather, my friends here—who came running toward me.
"Ah, so you must be the friends my daughter always talks about!" my father said.
"Yes, Father, these are my friends. The girl with blue hair is Rimuru, then Brontes, Zehe, Nesiphae, and Lilith," I said.
"G-Guu?!" Rimuru was the first to react, startled by his immense aura. "P-Papa Chaos?!"
"Papa… Chaos?" my father laughed. "Hahaha! I technically have no name, but that's a fine one."
"Ah, it's good to see you, sir," Zehe said.
"Yes, I didn't realize you were so handsome!" Nesiphae said, trying to curry favor.
"I've heard from Kireina that you're someone very important," Brontes said. "We've admired your clan for a long time and have always wished to join."
"Y-Yeah! W-We w-would l-love to… uh, j-join…" Lilith muttered, visibly the shyest.
"Well, my daughter received invitation letters for an entrance exam! She'll have to choose among you all, though," my father said with a smile. "If you qualify and pass that exam, you'll be welcomed."
"Thank you, sir!" Brontes nodded. "We won't disappoint you."
"Indeed!" Zehe said.
"Wait, she'll have to choose?" Rimuru asked.
"There aren't enough for everyone?" Nesiphae asked.
"E-Eh? Ahhh…" Lilith muttered.
"Anyway, it was nice to see you—"
"Frank! Hey! Over here!" I called out to another familiar face.
It was Frank, accompanied by his friends: the charming goth vampire girl Hiromi, the gyaru werewolf girl Erika, and the human boy Matsuo.
No, wait, it wasn't three friends but five!
Right, Sol and Elfina had joined him, and they were chatting merrily.
This time, it seemed Elfina's maid had not accompanied her.
"H-Huh? You're calling me?" Frank asked, a bit surprised.
"You don't have to go if you don't want to, you know?" Hiromi said, glaring at me jealously.
"Yeah, just ignore that girl," Erika nodded.
"Eh? Wouldn't that be bad manners? Besides, she's with someone!" Matsuo said. "Is that her father? Wow, he's really a rich boss—look at how he dresses!"
"Yeah, Kireina hasn't done anything bad to us to hate her like that… what's gotten into you two?" Frank asked Hiromi and Erika.
"I don't like rich kids…" Erika said.
"You're rich yourself, you know?" Matsuo asked.
"T-That's beside the point!" Erika cried, wagging a tail only a few could see.
"Hmm, I see. Those must be the special kids you were talking about, my daughter," my father said.
As Frank came running to meet me, Matsuo followed, and eventually, the rest of his friends joined.
"Good morning, Kireina," Frank said. "Huh, um, sir?"
"Hmm…" my father murmured, releasing a small fraction of his power as he stepped toward Frank.
The world seemed to freeze, with only my father's footsteps audible as he approached Frank.
"A-Ah… Ugh…!" Frank groaned, as if suffocating under the atmosphere my father created.
"You must be the boy my daughter protects so much," my father said with a faintly menacing smile. "Hmm? Well, you aren't that special… or are you?"
"Nngh…! K-Kireina! Who is he? Ack! Damn it!" Frank groaned.
"Father, don't be so harsh!" I said.
Frank suddenly unleashed his own Aura, standing defiantly before my father.
"ROAR!"
A dragon with red and golden scales appeared behind him, roaring as flames surged around him.
Then Frank summoned Celestial Energy from his right hand, conjuring a long, majestic angelic spear.
At the same time, parts of his skin transformed into white serpent scales, and his eyes and part of his hair turned white.
Multiple energies and powers surged from Frank as he combined them to resist my father's pressure.
"Hmm, you are indeed rather intriguing! A Divine Dragon Familiar, a Celestial Spear with an Angelic Soul inside, and is that the Bloodline of the Eight-Headed Serpent Demon God, Orochi? You are quite unique," my father said. "Yes, you're qualified enough."
"F-For what?!" Frank asked. "Ugh…!"
"If my daughter chooses to, of course," he said, patting Frank's shoulder. "Be grateful, always grateful to my daughter. If not for her benevolence, you might not even be alive right now, boy."
My father stepped back, and the world returned to normal. Everyone except the three of us was unaware of what had happened. Frank coughed, gasping for air.
"Frank!"
I ran to his side, helping him recover by recreating and reverse-engineering my skills and spells.
A common healing spell involves using the radiance of sunlight from my Khepri Skill.
I imprinted Khepri's power into my own Consciousness, recreating a weaker version.
It wasn't tied to skills, so it could grow and combine with other abilities infinitely.
The arrangement of Runes and other elements was quite complex, but not impossible.
"Haa… thanks," Frank sighed in relief.
"What happened?" Hiromi asked, curious.
"Out of nowhere, he fell to his knees…" Matsuo said, eyeing my father suspiciously.
"Ah, he must be sick," my father said. "Take care of him, you all. I'll be going, my dear. Take care!"
"Yeah, yeah…" I sighed. "Don't do that again, okay?!" I told him through telepathy, another spell I recreated. It wasn't so complex, as it was part of my Consciousness.
"Haha, sorry, I won't," he laughed, walking away.
"Hey… this guy is really…" Matsuo muttered. "Ah, where's Erika?!"
I noticed Erika had run to follow my father. I could see her through my Consciousness.
However, the moment she was about to reach him, my father had already vanished into another alley.
"Huh, where did he go?!" she wondered, returning to us shortly after.
"Your father is a bit rough…" Frank sighed. "Just who is he?"
"Hmm," I smiled, patting his shoulders. "Don't worry about it for now, heh."
Hiromi, Erika, and Matsuo glared at me suspiciously, while Sol and Elfina kept looking at me with incredulous expressions, as if they recognized me from somewhere but couldn't quite recall.
Thus, the last week of April at Tokyo High School began.
