Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2846 - 2847: What Can You Do

Chapter 2846 - 2847: What Can You Do

-----

With her nimble fingers, Nanako summoned her mother's inherited power, the Demon-Spider Threads. They fused seamlessly with her Psychic Powers, born from the Divinity of Wisdom, and her Six Demonic Divine Eyes, weaving pink threads of psychic and divine energy. The threads pierced the empty dimensional membranes, connecting with the fiery divine strands from Kaguya and her siblings. No words were needed. They all understood they were working together for her.

After living five hundred years, Nanako had gained profound insight into life and its meanings, achieving enlightenment in many aspects. She separated her existence in Genesis from her life here yet embraced both to become who she was now. Her love for Kireina, once rooted in fear, had gradually become a necessity to rise within the social hierarchy of her Realm. Nanako had long believed this ambition was the only reason she "loved" Kireina.

But now, seeing what Kireina had accomplished and how she had changed, memories flooded back. Nanako realized that, despite the many sins Kireina had committed, she was evolving and repenting eternally for her wrongdoings while fighting for survival. No one seemed more beautiful to Nanako than this eternal warrior defying fate.

"Yes… I remember why I loved you. I thought my feelings were false, but this ache in my heart… it can't just be the absence of love after all…"

Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and the rest of the Kami watched the battle in silence. The tension in the air was thick as deadly storms brewed in the skies. Susanoo governed not only storms but the seas themselves. Below them, near Japan's coast, the oceans raged into countless spiraling tornadoes of seawater reaching the heavens.

Amid pouring rain and roaring thunder, Susanoo and Kireina's battle reached its climax. Susanoo moved with incredible speed, unleashing dozens of swift attacks. Kireina defended desperately while continuously dying and reviving, rapidly burning through her energy reserves. She felt constant pressure building, urging her to explode.

Indeed, Amaterasu, Susanoo, and Tsukuyomi were monsters whose Realms Kireina couldn't accurately gauge. They were definitely beyond Star Eater, Nebula Assimilator, and perhaps even Black Hole Forger Realm.

Kireina's current Realm was the Peak of Star Eater Realm, but through the accumulation of Skills, Stats, Levels, Powers, Equipment, and now her Martial Arts, Arcane Path, and True Alchemy merged into it, her power far surpassed ordinary Star Eaters, reaching Nebula Assimilator or slightly more. Due to her unique Psyche and other factors, she had the endurance of a Black Hole Forger, though not their full strength.

However, she had felt this entire time that they hadn't taken the battle seriously—they were merely gauging her power. The Kami of Japan seemed incredibly cautious beings. But she knew Amaterasu was a true monster who deserved her title as the "Empress of the Sun." She was definitely beyond Black Hole Forger, perhaps having reached the same Realm as Noah—a Galaxy Ruler—without even owning a galaxy herself.

The reason lay in this world's heavenly domains and their out-of-the-charts potential. The Heavenly Realm itself could be enormous, far beyond Kireina's understanding. She began wondering if the Cosmic Entity Realms she knew were even accurate representations of power, as Earth had its own systems like Martial Arts, Arcane Path, Cultivation, and more—all capable of forging power beyond expectations and established meanings.

Thus, even though Kireina had wounded Amaterasu's hand, killed the Great Ancestor, and sliced off a finger from the Empress to forge it into a new Cosmic Treasure, she only wanted to escape this place. With Susanoo blocking her path and demanding a fight to the death, she could do nothing but push herself beyond her limits.

Kireina's entire life had been mostly an aimless run across a path already set by Fate. From the very beginning, because she defied her Sisters—Primordial Entities beyond this Dimensional Domain—she was punished and cast down into this Cosmos, turned into a Chaos Spawn and becoming the daughter of this Universe's Primordial, Chaos.

Then Chaos suffered an ill fate, attacked and chained by Overseers—cosmic wanderers that fed on Primordials to ascend further.

Her mother sent her soul downward. As it fell, the soul shattered into many pieces, becoming Chaos Fragments that fell upon many worlds, contaminating the Universe with the Element of Chaos. Her main consciousness became a small fragment of her true soul, made to reincarnate as a Caterpillar—created as a weapon by the System Master to overthrow Genesis's order.

Kireina lost her memories as a Chaos Spawn and awoke with fragments of a human man's recollections, someone long reincarnated into Genesis. Surrounded by threats eager to devour her, she grew into a deeply unstable being devoid of morals, driven solely to consume everything. She committed terrible acts in the name of "survival of the fittest." Yet her family and friends gradually instilled a sense of humanity, which evolved through countless trials.

She died, reincarnated, returned to Genesis to save her family, then rescued allies caught in an interplanar war she had unwittingly provoked. It was all Fate's design, using her chaotic powers to destabilize dimensional membranes and trigger a full-scale invasion of Genesis, the largest fragment of this Dimensional Domain's Origin World.

Kireina plunged into conflicts spanning worlds, planes, and dimensions. She faced demons, spirits, vampires, and even outer gods, saving her beloved daughter from exploitation, only to be transported to Abyss, the Vampire World. There, her desperate pursuit of power sparked another catastrophe. Outer Gods invaded Abyss, and she escalated the chaos by claiming its sun to grow stronger while searching for the lost.

In her quest to find them, she entered a Cosmic Dungeon of three overlapping worlds. Merging with her parallel self granted true humanity. She began genuine repentance for her wrongs while forging a new path.

She sought friendship and the childhood denied her, but she realized that her very existence was Cursed. She brought misfortune to everything she touched.

This Curse had followed her since birth as a Chaos Spawn, inflicted by her Sisters to teach her the futility of lower lifeforms and the meaninglessness of their suffering worlds.

Yes, facing Susanoo with a bitter smile, Kireina felt it all converge—her entire history, everything she had been and endured, the fate forced upon her.
