Chapter 2850 - 2851: Meeting My Brother Facing The Overseers

Chapter 2850 - 2851: Meeting My Brother, Facing The Overseers

-----

"Yes, it's me, Abyss," Kireina said. Her voice carried a subtle shift, as though she had truly ascended. "After mastering Martial Arts and fusing my Repentant Enlightenment with my System, I channeled everything into that strike. Foolishly, I tried to wound something beyond our reality. I probably failed, but the attack pierced the entire Universe. It let me send Avatars to places connected to me... Chaos, you were born from one of my original Soul Fragments, right? We're siblings."

"Indeed..." Chaos nodded slowly. "Veronica and Ervas gave me a mission to save our mother, Khaos. We've been heading there, battling Overseers and other threats along the way..." He scanned the vast void. "It's surprising to see you here. Is that why you've come?"

"I believe so. My worry and emotions surged through that attack," Kireina said, rubbing her chin. Her ethereal form radiated immense star-shattering power. "Saving Mother has always been my priority, but so much kept getting in the way... I wonder if this power will finally let me succeed. It's sudden, but I'll seize the chance."

"Then come with us. We're not far now," Chaos said. "Veronica and Ervas are heading there too."

"So while I was caught up in everything else, you were all coming to save her?" Kireina's voice trembled with emotion. "B-But why?"

"Well, Veronica and Ervas are her son and daughter too. And I could be considered her son as well," Chaos smiled gently. "Though I have other parents, I've never forgotten what Khaos did for me. She guided me in my darkest moments, granted me strength to fight back, and never judged me for what I was."

"To think I have such wonderful siblings," Kireina said, her warm smile glowing with gratitude. "Then let's do this."

With Kireina's Heart Avatar beside them, Chaos, Abyss, and Kosmos raced through the cosmos—faster than light itself.

What astonished them most was how effortlessly Kireina kept pace. She could have moved even quicker if she wished.

She traveled in a unique way, manifesting a Demonic Sword from her Martial Arts and Heart Essence, then riding it with a technique Chaos recognized from certain cultivators: Sword Flight.

It took only minutes to reach the battlefield where Khaos, their Mother, had endured a brutal, one-sided war against her pursuers—the Overseers from beyond this Cosmos.

"T-This is...!"

Kireina's eyes widened in horror at the rivers of black ichor—her mother's blood.

Scattered chaos crystals glimmered, fragments of her flesh.

In the distance, an eternally dark galaxy writhed in agony. Giant cosmic chains bound her colossal form as dozens of divine figures tore away pieces of her existence.

They were dragging her toward a massive rift in space, intending to pull her beyond the Universe where her Primordial power would fade, making her easier to destroy.

"Mother...! MOTHER!"

Grief and rage overwhelmed Kireina. Black miasma tears streamed from her eyes as her power erupted like a blazing crimson star.

"...?!"

"...!"

"Kireina, wait!"

Chaos reached for her. They needed to strike together, following Veronica and Ervas' plan. Overseers surpassed even Primordials, wielding power on the scale of entire Universes.

But she could not wait.

After her battle with Susanoo, Kireina had fully opened her heart. She accepted who she was, her path, and her deepest desires.

Through that acceptance, Defiance blossomed, unlocking its true potential. It fused with her Heart Path Cultivation, propelling her Soul to a higher realm instantly.

In the Cosmos, three major Cultivation Paths existed: Heaven, Earth, and Heart.

Heart was the most difficult, as Chaos and Abyss had noted. Even beings of their strength could barely comprehend it.

Yet this path—built on Repentant Enlightenment and the nurturing of emotions, memories, and personal story—fit Kireina perfectly.

Thus!

RUMBLE!

She surged forward across hundreds of thousands of kilometers, a crimson star blazing toward the enemy. The five Overseers tormenting Khaos for thousands of years turned toward the approaching light.

"Another insect?"

"Swat it away."

One detached from the group and advanced, a colossal humanoid figure the size of a star, formed of cosmic essence with flowing black hair and glowing red eyes.

"Foolish pest. Do not interfere with our hunt!"

He summoned a massive sword forged from entire nebulas and swung it toward Kireina.

"Cosmic Soul Weapon – Nebula Blade."

The cosmic-scale strike could cleave a galaxy in two.

Kireina met it head-on. Her Demonic Sword ignited with crimson, purple, and black stellar light.

Her Heart channeled pure Defiance.

"Don't get in my way."

As the devastating attack tore through stars and planets, Kireina raised her small blade.

"Splitting Heavens."

RUMBLE!

BOOOMMM!!!

In a single motion, she rent space and time itself, shattering the Overseer's assault in an instant.

"...?!"

A shockwave of overwhelming Cosmic Heart Essence washed over the giant, searing his form.

"Nnngh?! Kuaaaaaggh!"

The titan writhed in agony; his starry red eyes fixed on Kireina in disbelief.

"W-What...! What are you?! Begone!"

Cosmic energy coalesced around him, crystallizing into massive armor of stars.

"Cosmic Soul Armor – Star Armor!"

Kireina studied the colossus towering thousands of times her size as he lunged, his enormous hands aiming to crush her.

Yet she pressed forward undaunted. Gripping her blade, she swung upward, downward, left, and right.

These were Susanoo's techniques, now perfected and fused with her own insights.

"Heaven and Earth Defying Soul Heart Style."

"First Form."

"Crimson Eclipse Bloom!"

Kireina roared. Her sword descended as her existence fragmented into countless petals—each a shard of her soul, each a defiant stand against despair.

This was the same technique she had used against Susanoo, now amplified hundreds of thousands of times by her recent ascension.

She weaponized the very curse her sisters had inflicted—the Black Star of Misfortune—turning it into her radiant Star of Defiance.

"Petals? What sort of...! Ah!"

The Overseer's eyes widened. Reality warped around him as a massive crimson star eclipsed everything.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

"...Gah?!"

The cosmic titan, master of weapon, armor, and physical reinforcement, had no defense against this onslaught.

Millions of petals sliced through him.

In a single second, the other four Overseers watched their companion shredded into countless fragments.

An act of pure, unyielding Defiance!

Kireina did not devour the fragments of her victim. Instead, she erased them from existence, incinerating them with her exploding petals until nothing remained.

No forgiveness.

No mercy.

And most importantly, she would no longer devour anything to grow stronger.

She no longer needed to.

Kireina smiled with fierce Defiance as she turned to face the four remaining Overseers.

Veronica and Ervas, who had just arrived aboard a massive cosmic train forged from black cosmic steel, stared at the scene in stunned silence.

"Hey, Ervas, isn't that Kireina?!"

"Yes... it certainly is, sister."

"She... caught up to us this fast?!"

"I... don't even know anymore."

Veronica and Ervas were once two halves of a single being—the child born of The One and Khaos—who had fallen to a distant planet and reincarnated as an ordinary human.

After living an ordinary life, she and her coworkers were summoned to the Fantasy World of Kritias, a realm actually formed from the corpse of their own original body.

Through the pull of Fate's Attraction Force, Veronica returned to her original body at the whim of the Reincarnation God Samsara, who sought to use her and her companions as test subjects for a new Universal Reincarnation System.

Samsara's ultimate goal was to seize control of the entire universe's reincarnation cycle, absorb the supreme power within Kritias' corpse, and ascend as a Primordial alongside The One, Khaos, and Azathoth.

Yet everything unraveled for Veronica. Terrible circumstances cast her as the Demon King's daughter, leading to her death at the hands of her own former coworkers.

By Fate's grace, she reincarnated once more into a mirror version of Kritias, her soul now split in two. The larger portion, retaining most of her essence, became a Living Armor within a dungeon. The smaller fragment, stripped of nearly all memories and emotions, reborn as a young Dhampir boy named Ervas.

From that moment, they cultivated power through their new lives, explored the world, liberated its people, and ultimately confronted Veronica's treacherous coworkers. In a cataclysmic clash that merged both worlds, they fully awakened their true might as Primordial Children.

Afterward, they journeyed through the cosmos, battling countless threats and visiting a world they had once terraformed—now invaded by an Alien Hivemind and later Samsara himself, who allied with the invaders in a desperate bid to reclaim the power he had granted them.

This led to his downfall. Veronica and Ervas harnessed the cosmic strength needed to defeat him, combining their forces, absorbing his Authority and Cosmic Divinity, and ascending as the new Gods of Reincarnation and Souls. A title they eventually abandoned, uninterested in its burdens.

"So she has finally arrived... And what an entrance. Without doubt, that is my main body. She wields the power of Defiance, something I lack..."

Beside them stood another Fragment of Kireina, one granted long ago when they summoned her as a Patron Outer Goddess through Warlock Magic.

This Fragment had evolved independently into a separate being named Astra. She resembled Kireina but bore long azure hair, golden eyes, and radiant cosmic butterfly wings.

"I suppose there's no point dwelling on it. Time to fight!"

"Yeah, she took one down already. That's proof enough of her strength. We can count on her. Let's do this."

Veronica and Ervas nodded in firm agreement.

The colossal cosmic ghostly train—Veronica herself—swiftly transformed into a towering metallic titan, the ultimate evolution of her original Living Armor form.

It stood as a giant of black and dark blue steel, enveloped in ghostly blue flames, adorned with jaws, beasts, flames, and countless other motifs. Her true self emerged within the dragon-shaped helmet: a breathtaking cosmic ghost goddess with translucent white skin, glowing cosmic red eyes, and flowing white hair.

Meanwhile, Ervas—the Dhampir who had awakened countless ancient Bloodlines—stepped forward and transformed into a radiant giant of White Light. His wolf-like head bore golden horns and three piercing red eyes, flanked by blazing dragon wings, six muscular arms ending in sharp claws, and a powerful long tail.

Both radiated overwhelming Cosmic Power, shaking the universe's foundations as they charged forward to finally free their Mother after gathering unimaginable strength.

It was now or never.

Chaos, Abyss, and Kosmos reacted instantly to the unfolding battle. Chaos expanded dramatically, growing a hundred times larger and surging with even greater draconic and vampiric might.

His son followed suit, becoming gigantic as tentacles and draconic traits erupted across his cosmic form. Abyss revealed her true Shoggoth nature—the only one to reach such ascension—morphing into a titanic Outer Goddess with countless slimy tentacles and glowing golden eyes.

Thus, the Children of Khaos reunited at last, all converging to rescue their mother.

"They killed Red Star?!"

"Impossible..."

"This Universe should not harbor beings capable of challenging us..."

"..."

The leader of the rogue Overseers hunting Khaos narrowed his glowing red eyes, gazing into the distance. Lean and imposing, with long red hair, crimson tattoos marking his skin, and golden-red accessories adorning his body.

"Boss, what do we do? Should we engage them?"

"We've spent three thousand years pursuing this Primordial. A Chaos-type of this scale and power is extraordinarily rare. We cannot abandon it now—these Materials will propel us to the Realm of Constellations! Fight! We will claim our prize through force, as we always have!"

"Yes, boss!"

The three rogues charged ahead while their leader observed from afar, rapidly gathering cosmic energy and tightening the chains binding Khaos.

"I will not let them steal you from me. I am so close to becoming a true Constellation in the vast Cosmic Sea!" he snarled, summoning a pair of long, blazing crimson katanas. "Whoever these insects are, they will learn their place!"

Khaos slowly regained consciousness, her vast form stirring as she surveyed her surroundings. She sensed powerful Cosmic Presences clashing against the Overseers who hunted her.

"Huh? That's...!"

Her crimson eyes—swirling like galaxies—widened in shock as she recognized the figures battling for her freedom. These were her children, whom she believed had chosen peaceful lives far from her struggles, just as she had wished.

Veronica and Ervas, the beloved children she bore with The One long ago.

Chaos, the fragment of Kireina she had embraced as her son.

And Kireina herself.

"K-Kireina...! No...! Stay back…! Please don't fight them! No one in this Universe can defeat Overseers. You cannot...!"

Her desperate voice echoed through the surrounding cosmos. Kireina heard it clearly through her Heart Essence Avatar.

Yet Kireina only smiled warmly at her mother.

She would not retreat.

Not after coming this far.
