Death… And Me

Chapter 3983: No Intent

Chapter 3983: No Intent

The Future Realm was separated from the outside world by the Spatial Storm. Still, the realm itself was gigantic, no less than an average country. However, that wasn’t what made this a cultivation heaven. Instead, one of the reasons was the resources.

Because it was cut from outside, and the number of experts who could enter was highly limited, there was plenty of time for cultivation resources to grow and appear. You could say that this was almost an inaccessible Divine Stone Mine, Herb Garden, Divine Mineral Deposit, and so on. Even the concentration of Divine Energy and Divine Origin Energy was higher as a result.

The second reason was definitely the Temporal Plates, which connected to other possible futures and affected the realm itself. In a certain way, you could say that the Future Realm was the Chronoblade Serpent’s Domain, just like Rean’s Life World Domain or Roan’s Death World Domain.

Fortunately, an average-sized country wasn’t too hard for Kentucky to cover by flight. In just ten days, he went from one side to the other while Rean kept an eye on the clockwork device. He could have done that even faster if he hadn’t been suppressing his cultivation. But since they were trying to find clues about the Chronoblade Serpent, that slower speed wasn’t too bad.

"Alright... we crossed the entire Future Realm. However, we haven’t found any clues related to the Chronoblade Serpent," Roan said, his eyes closed.

Rean looked at the device. "Time plates everywhere... There is no way this device will point in the right direction. Just where could the Chronoblade Serpent be?"

"How about we go to the center of the Future Realm?" Foliana asked.

They all looked at her. "Do you have an idea?"

Foliana nodded and continued. "Now that Kentucky crossed the entire Future Realm, we can tell more or less where the center is. If the Chronoblade Serpent is really responsible for the Future Realm, you would expect it to be somewhere in the middle, right?"

No one saw a problem with her idea. "Alright. Kentucky, fly back to the center."

"Sure!" Kentucky turned around, but before he flew back, he asked something else. "What about the other participants. There is a good chance we will start to meet some of them once we go back. Just like us, everyone would try to cross the Future Realm to check how big it is, after all."

"You saying we could be attacked?" Rean asked.

"Isn’t that right?" Kentucky confirmed. "Everyone in the Future Realm is the best or close to the best experts from their continents, alliances, organizations, and such. Wouldn’t it make sense to have your higher cultivation experts kill the weaker ones to prevent problems in the future?"

"He is correct," Roan had actually thought about it. "However, for Rean, you, Celis, and me, only Divinity Peak Stage experts pose a threat. There is no Peak Stage Divinity Realm in the Future Realm, though. After all, this is a place for cultivation, and if you are already in the Peak Stage, you have nothing to gain. From what I saw with my Divine Sense before everyone entered the Spatial Storm Wall, the highest cultivation was Late Stage Divinity, and there were only two of them. The rest were in the Middle Stage or below."

"Oh! Then we are fine," Kentucky said confidently. "Still, what do we do if we are attacked? Do we retaliate, or do we try to stay out of reach? Don’t forget that the Werdlem Network still works. Couldn’t those who attack us report that some Space-Bending Realm experts were putting up a fight against Divinity Realm experts? That would totally blow our cover."

"Now that I think about it, chances are we’re going to find various groups instead of lone experts," Tanxan commented. "Those with higher cultivation, especially the Space-Time Realm ones, are likely to gather with their lower realm companions to protect them while everyone cultivates."

Tanxan was absolutely correct. That was especially so for the powers that controlled more than a single continent: Von-Hais, Riquicious Empire, Tussu Turei Sect, Qufis, and many others. Yes, the Future Realm was as big as an average-sized country. But the Divine Senses weren’t affected inside, different from when they were crossing the wall. Eventually, the various experts would meet each other with their Divine Senses.

Rean smiled in the next moment. "Right, since that’s the case..."

Immediately, Rean’s appearance changed back to the Space-Time Realm expert from Qufis. "We already showed that we entered the Future Realm with our real appearances when we arrived. There is no need to keep using our real appearances anymore. Instead, we can continue to pretend to be Space-Time Realm Experts from Qufis. For all intents and purposes, the real Rean, Roan, Celis, Kentucky, Tanxan, and Foliana are somewhere inside the Future Realm, cultivating."

"I see..." Roan immediately began to change his appearance again. "Since we can use these Qufis Continent IDs, we can stay out in the open with our real cultivation realms. Anyone who checks us will only see six experts in the Space-Time Realm. Few will try anything against us."

With that plan in mind, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky helped restore Foliana, Tanxan, and Celis’s appearances back to those of the Qufis Alliance IDs. Naturally, they also released the suppression on their cultivations. Rean, Roan, Kentucky, Tanxan, and Celis were in the Middle Stage of the Space-Time Realm, while Foliana was in the Late Stage.

"Good!" Kentucky felt a lot better to have full access to his cultivation. "Now, let’s go to the center of the Future Realm and try to find the Chronoblade Serpent."

"Before that, let’s try to find one of those guys who are marking the participants’ names down," Tanxan suggested. "It will be better if those outside know these ’six Qufis experts’ also made it through the wall."

No one had any complaint. Sooner or later, they would bump into someone who would report their presence anyway. They could try to avoid everyone with Rean’s Divine Sense Bending, but that would be bothersome if they had to stop their investigation every time it happened. It was better to get it over with.

Kentucky then flew along the border of the Future Realm. Since he was on the other side, it took two days until they finally found one of those guys who were registering those who succeeded in getting through the Future Realm’s Wall.

"Name and background," the man asked leisurely.

They passed their names, fake Werdlem Energy Signatures, and background. Only after they took care of it did they finally decide to fly to the center of the Future Realm again.

Yet, Kentucky didn’t fly more than an hour before everyone’s CDs received a message. Rean was the first one to check it, scratching the back of his head right after. "Right... since we have now shown that we are here, the Qufis Alliance also knows about it. They are asking us to get together with the others who made it through the wall."

Roan snorted. "They know very well that we aren’t really members of the Qufis Alliance. We only made that swap. Do they expect us to help protect the weaklings?"

Rean nodded. "I think so too. Still, they say here that they got two Divinity Realm experts through, both at the Initial Stage. Is it okay to ignore them? They might be useful."

Roan didn’t care. "Useful for what? Protect us? They are weaker than we are, so that’s a waste of time. Anyway, we aren’t staying in this place for those ten thousand plus years, so whatever they think about it is not our problem. Kentucky, just keep going. Our focus will be on finding the Chronoblade Serpent."

"Alright!" Kentucky accepted the orders and flew at full speed. Their time was limited.
