Death… And Me

Chapter 4204: Tharos’ Contribution

Chapter 4204: Tharos’ Contribution

Well, truth be told, it wasn’t like no one knew the Werdlem Empire wasn’t there. We must not forget that the twins’ group heard several times that the Werdlem Empire received ’visitors’ quite a few times over the years. Obviously, some powers knew about it.

That said, the real question was instead why no one found Lisan Universe before. After all, it was so close to the Werdlem Empire... or was it?

Well, you have to look into the context to see the full picture. The connection created by using some of The Echo in the Werdlem Treasures was much, much faster than any other method if you don’t consider things like the twins’ Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm cheat.

So, although it would take only a few minutes for that to happen, the truth was that the Lisan Universe was still very, very far away. Let’s not forget that even when you use the best Great Void Spaceships of the Werdlem Empire, it could easily take years to go from one universe to another. For comparison, the same ship wouldn’t take more than a day or so to cross the entire distance of the Universe itself.

That’s where the issue lies. Yes, Lisan was the closest Universe to F974. However, the distance from it to the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble was still ridiculously enormous. It was mentioned before that the Werdlem Empire wasn’t originally in this place. It was moved here once that tear in space was found, where The Echo could be interacted with.

Last but not least, the Werdlem Empire wasn’t really easy to find. The Bubble put it away into something similar to a Dimensional Realm, or another plane. It was still part of the great void, but invisible to anyone who didn’t know it was there. Think about it as another ’Abyssal Room,’ but of a lower level, not separated from the great void. With that, it wasn’t easy for anyone in Lisan to know it was there at all.

Well, no one in Lisan ever came out of the Universe before the Garisan Empire attacked it anyway.

---

But then, Sister Orb got worried, her voice echoing outside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

[Wait! If Lisan Universe is that close, won’t it be dangerous? Once we bring the Primordial Beasts out, the Werdlem Empire might come to Lisan, which is really close, to take revenge. Our Lisan Universe stands no chance against them, even if Garisan were to help. The Werdlem Empire wasn’t feared for no reason.]

Default wasn’t worried, though. "It is fine. Once we get out, we can gather all the ninety-nine Primrodial Beasts instead of just us, the Twelve Previous Pillars. If the Werdlem Empire really tries something, they’d better send a lot more than just one Soza, one Rafina, and one Latifi."

Xyrath and Nyxara agreed. "Don’t forget, our power is mainly limited because we are in the Bubble. Once we get out, we can recover pretty fast. Going beyond the Celestial Realm won’t take too long. If anything, we might actually use Lisan and its surroundings as our base of operations to deal with the Empire’s plans to control The Echo."

Rean sighed in relief. "If that’s the case, then I hope everything goes as planned."

Default added another piece of information. "Also... let’s just say that we won’t be the only ones interested in the Werdlem Empire once its Bubble goes down. Hehe!"

That conversation didn’t really last much longer, so the connection was still being established. The twins could only wait until...

’Rean, Roan!’ Kentucky contacted them. ’The Werdlem Empire’s reinforcements are here!’

The twins narrowed their eyes, their Divine Senses spreading. Soon, they saw thousands upon thousands of Spatial Gates opening one after another. From inside, many Peak Stage Divinities stepped out. They weren’t Celestials, so they didn’t need the Celestial Suppressor Plates. ’They arrived quite fast.’

Yes, they did, and that’s because Soza helped them. That wasn’t all. Soza also appeared there, his eyes focusing on Rean and Roan... or, to be more specific, the clones the twins left outside to distract the others. Soza lost his Suppressor Plate, but he acquired a new one from a Celestial who was commanding the ships bringing these experts.

"Soza’s reinforcements arrived, and Soza is there too," Rean said. Their side had the advantage with Celis’s addition and Soza’s defeat. But now that Soza was back, and he brought so many Divinities, it would be a miracle if their side lasted another five minutes.

"We have to go out," Rean said.

"You can’t," Default countered. "If you aren’t here to call upon the Lisan Universe’s Power, the channel won’t be enlarged, and we, the Primordial Demon Beasts, can’t enter it to help stabilize it while we cross."

Roan didn’t see another choice. "But if we don’t help, there will be no formation or channel anymore pretty soon."

"Hmph!" It was then that Tharos snorted. "Do you think I stayed here all these years just helping Ratria-Ket and Ploto-Ume with the killing of the Universe Owner? The Werdlem Empire made me lose my consciousness with The Echo’s power, and that’s the only reason why I didn’t act when all this fighting started. Now that I’m back to myself, let me show you the surprise I prepared here."

Tharos’ power came out of the Abyssal Room, entering the Natural Formation below. Soon, all around the mountain range hiding the Natural Formation, countless runes began to take shape.

If one knew Tharos and paid close attention to those runes, one would definitely feel Tharos’ power, his Stabilization Innate ability.

Rean’s Divine Sense saw those runes, and he was skeptical for a moment. Those runes didn’t look like anything special in the actual context. Yet, it didn’t take long for his eyes to light up! "Hahaha! That’s right! Tharos’s Innate ability can truly be used in such a manner! How did I not think of it before?!"

Outside, Soza was just about to join the fray with all his Divinities, when the runes appeared. They quickly created a gigantic protection dome around the mountain range, essentially separating him and his group from those battling inside!

"Hahaha!" Soza only showed disdain for that, though. "Do you think this formation can hold the combined power of all of us alone? Ridiculous! Everyone, focus on a single point and attack!"

Hearing Soza’s orders, all the Divinities attacked at the same time and focused on the same place. Soza, obviously, joined them.

*Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...*

Everything around the dome was being destroyed even more thoroughly than before.

Yet, Soza’s disdain didn’t last long.

Thousands of Divinities and Soza himself bombarded the same place in that formation. Nevertheless, even though the formation trembled quite a lot, it simply didn’t crack, let alone break down. A few seconds, a minute, two minutes, five... the situation didn’t change!

"Impossible! That’s definitely not a Legendary Level Formation!" Soza said, his anger flaring up again.

Soza was right. That was not a Legendary Level Formation. It was only a Divine one, a Divine Middle Level! Let alone thousands of Divinities, it definitely shouldn’t be able to resist such a bombardment even if there were just a few hundred.

Then... how could it stop Soza and everyone else? Once again, the answer lay in Tharos’s Stabilization Innate Skill!
