Death… And Me

Chapter 4218: No Chance At All

Chapter 4218: No Chance At All

Tuana, the leader of the Vruve Organization and one of the direct descendants of the Turmaloid Empire, still lived in the Lisan Universe. After the war against Garisan, the power of the Vruve Organization was known, but above all, so was their real objective.

Tuana had been banished from Turmaloid and eventually ended up in Lisan. Her plan after arriving was very simple: to take away Lisan Universe’s Chaos Origin Source and offer it back to the Turmaloid Empire. That should buy her a pass back into the Imperial Family of Turmaloid.

However, turns out that the reason she got to Lisan Universe was that she had Soul Gem with her. By now, she already understood she was manipulated by Soul Gem to come here. Not that it mattered, of course. As long as she acquires the Chaos Origin Source, all would be worth it.

Unfortunately, after Soul Gem told everyone that she intended to take it away to return to her Universe, all eyes turned to her and her Vruve Organization.

Let’s not forget, everyone in Lisan doesn’t have anywhere else to go. If Tuana took the Chaos Origin Source away, the Universe would die, and so would everything inside. Tuana might have a way back into her Imperial Family in some other Universe, but the rest left behind would simply die or be forced to travel the Great Void without a clue of where to go.

With Garisan also in everyone’s asses, the main powers of the Lisan Universe made sure to keep the Vruves in check. They didn’t try to eliminate the Vruves, though. For better or for worse, the Vruves helped in the Garisan War, and had they not gotten involved, Lisan probably would have lost. It was a necessary evil.

Tuana and her subordinates haven’t given up the idea of returning to Turmaloid, of course. Even up to this day, they still try to gain influence in the shadows and maybe find a way of taking the Chaos Origin Source at some point. It’s just that it was easier said than done when pretty much all Semi-Celestials of the Universe had their eyes on you. The Vruves had their own Semi-Celestials, but compared to the total number in the Lisan Universe, it was still not enough.

Besides, the process of removing a Universe’s Chaos Origin Source was a lengthy one, requiring thousands of years if everything went smoothly. It wasn’t like you could simply go there and send it into your Pocket Dimensional Realm. First of all, a Pocket Dimensional Realm would instantly collapse the moment something like that appeared inside.

So, the Vruve Organization required a plan of action or enough strength to be able to subjugate the powers of Lisan while they collect the Chaos Origin Source. So far, they don’t have either of those, but they sure haven’t given up.

Tuana, a Semi-Celestial herself, was in her palace in the Vruve Dimensional Realm inside the Temporal Path’s Gap. She still acted like a descendant of the Turmaloid Empire and was treated as such, too. That didn’t mean she was an idiot, maybe just overly conceited. After all, she was the main one behind the plan to intervene in the Extinction Sphere event.

Back then, she almost prevented Soul Gem from destroying the Extinction Sphere, which started the mess that split the Lisan Universe into two distinct locations: the cultivation world and the world without any cultivation energy.

She was checking some reports with some of her subordinates, deciding on various things in the daily routine as the leader of the Vruves. Make no Mistake. Tuana was, without a doubt, a very good leader. Just her status as a descendant of the Turmaloid Imperial Family wasn’t enough, especially considering she was banished from said family. She wouldn’t have so many subordinates, several of whom were Semi-Celestials like herself, if she didn’t know what she was doing.

"Very well... The Rambram Sect has been without its ancestor for a while now. He left to go to other Universes with the help of Garisan. Perhaps you can have our elder asset in there to try to take a little bit more power and see how things go. However, prioritize staying in the shadows. It took a lot of resources and time to get our asset over there to risk losing that person now."

Her subordinate accepted the order. "Understood. I will draft a plan with the others in the lower levels in Rambram to start things slowly. I’ll bring it later so you can sign it off."

Tuana nodded slightly, her eyes already glued to other piles of information regarding other issues. After that, the subordinate left, and she called the next one in. She didn’t even look at him before asking. "Have you decided what to do with Vanos? Tell him he has a lot to gain if he can help us with the Drugo Organization."

"Hum... Vanos, uh? I feel like I’ve heard his name before..." The man spoke.

Tuana narrowed her eyes, and her gaze finally landed on her subordinate... or so the man was supposed to be.

"Right!" The man continued. "Vanos was a Divinity Realm Expert of the Drugo Organization. I knew I remembered him from somewhere."

Tuana didn’t panic, her eyes still sharp. How could she not know what was happening? She still had eyes everywhere in the Lisan Universe. "Took you long enough to come and see me? I guess it makes sense that the Universe Owner himself is able to enter this closed Dimensional Realm without alerting anyone. Shall I say long time no see, Rean?"

Rean smiled in response. "I’m not alone, though."

*Zush!*

Soul Gem appeared next, his arms crossed. He didn’t look at Tuana, though. Instead, he looked at the room. "This place hasn’t changed much since the last time I was here..."

Tuana agreed. "Obviously. I don’t like to change things when they work as intended. So, did you finally come to take my head? You already tricked me into coming to this Universe anyway. Perhaps I’m finally of no use anymore."

Tuana knew that calling anyone or trying anything would be meaningless. Rean is the Universe Owner and, above all, a Peak Stage Celestial. She simply had no chance, regardless of what she could possibly try to do.
