Chapter 3906: Overall View
Between missions, outings, and such, the twins’ group continued to make their names soar while their cultivation ’skyrocketed’ as fast, if not even faster, than Wisfreya’s.
During this, the twins’ group was targeted quite a few times. Why? Because they hadn’t used their Nebula Divine Cores. Well, everyone who went after them mysteriously disappeared in the end, and no news ever came out that they were targeted. All people found out was that some elders and older disciples vanished for who knows what reason.
Then, the news finally came that they all used their Nebula Divine Cores, and those attacks instantly stopped.
A few explorations here, some ambushes there, missions here, self-training in some remote places prepared by their own backgrounds, etc. Whenever the Verjansy Country, Sea Breeze Sect, Pengen Beast Alliance, or the Amefis Treasure Hall had their youngster out for some reason, the news followed.
In that manner, years went by, and the Martial Gathering happened again. Yet, compared to the last one, people felt quite disappointed, and the stories of the magical eight and the two extras weighed down on all participants to the very end.
It was especially so since the prize offered by the hosts this time, the country of Toven, wasn’t anywhere near the Nebula Divine Cores. They couldn’t be blamed since they didn’t have the resources the Verjansy Country has. Even if they did, it would be hard to expect them to prepare something as good as those cores anyway.
Soon, the twins’ group’s names began to spread out of the Surute Region, reaching the entire continent.
If it were back in the Lisan Universe, you would hardly ever see such a thing. That’s because cultivation in the Realm of Gods wasn’t anywhere near as fast as it is here in the Divine Realm of the A1 Universe. At the moment, the twins’ group was all around ’25’ years old, with Wisfreya at 28.
In the Realm of Gods of the Lisan Universe, cultivations of all races would still be far, far from the Transition Realm, let alone reach the Void Tempering Realm. The twins’ group, however, reached that level here already, and they weren’t the only ones. Still, there were very few cultivators at the same level as them while at the same age.
Wisfreya followed through with her deal with the Verjansy Country, and she provided her eggs without complaining for years. The Verjansy Country had no intention of using them anytime soon, though. There would be a very long and detailed screening of potential candidates, not to mention that the interests of those involved would also get in the way.
Wisfreya cared little for that. Foliana tried to convince her to not give them up, but Wisfreya truly felt little to nothing about those eggs. She was definitely a lot more like Roan and Zangeshu in that department.
---
Panpasin Sect, obviously, the one that controls the Panpasin Continent. As the sole dominant power on this continent, Panpasin managed all regions closely, keeping a close eye on both new and old experts who were circulating.
That not only helped them prevent any possible insurgencies or rebellions, but also gave the sect a good idea of where they stood in the power ranking of the continents around them. Panpasin wasn’t exactly weak in the continental region it was located in, but it wasn’t anything impressive either.
It was located in an area known as the Green Cluster, which contained a total of 59 continents. The reason for that name was pretty obvious; all the terrains in all those continents were pretty fertile, and forests covered a very big chunk of that area. The environment was truly quite good for cultivation, as it gave birth to many natural treasures and resources.
If you think about how it was located so far away from the central area of the Divine Realm, that was actually a pretty enviable place to live. Sure, it wasn’t anywhere near as good as the central area, but if you only took into consideration the area it existed in, it couldn’t get much better.
Because of that, it wasn’t anything rare for the continents in the surrounding areas to try to invade it and take at least one of those continents for themselves. In that regard, Panpasin was quite lucky. It wasn’t one of the continents bordering the other areas, even if it wasn’t in the center either.
However, that also came with its own duties. If the powers controlling the bordering continents were to be defeated, that would open a path to the inner continents. No doubt the outside continents would use that breach to send all their experts in and try to take as much of the land as possible.
That said, the Green Cluster Alliance existed. Even if your continent wasn’t bordering the other areas, you had to send reinforcements anytime such continents were invaded.
That wasn’t all that bad. In the end, the best way to develop both the younger and older generations was through real battle and challenging tasks. Pure Strength, Formations, Blacksmithing, Talismans, etc., everything was necessary when hell broke loose. What better environment would you have?
Another advantage was that the continents in the Green Cluster didn’t need to fight each other. They had plenty of enemies outside, and that kind of guaranteed peace between themselves. Even if two continents in the Green Cluster decided to go to war against each other for some reason, the others around would make sure that it would not impact the Green Cluster Alliance’s overall strength.
Still, continental-level wars didn’t happen often. The amount of resources and preparation necessary was ridiculously high. That said, you wouldn’t see more than one war every one to two hundred years at the very least. Let’s not forget that when one of such wars ends, both attackers and defenders will need time to recover. The recovery from a continental-level war was definitely not fast.
It had already been over two hundred years since some of the surrounding continental groups attacked the Green Cluster Alliance, and because of that, all the bordering continents were watching their borders even more closely.
So, when the news came out that the Bonelands Alliance was about to make an attempt in the southeast, it was barely a surprise to anyone. If anything, that was seen as an opportunity, and soon, the various continents in the Green Cluster mobilized their own experts to send aid to the continents bordering the Bonelands Alliance.
However, something else was brewing under the table this time. The Bonelands attack was just the start.
