It only has a set line of instructions to act based on what happens around it. Yet, it was quite poor, as it perfectly divided its power between the four members of the twins’ group, 25% each. It didn’t know how to prioritize.

’Red Death, Death Scythe!’

A powerful cleaving attack struck the Golden Sphere, cutting through the energy and the ribbons in front. Meanwhile, Kentucky’s Feather Blades intercepted all the other ribbons of energy that came from other directions, causing various explosions to take place around Roan.

Roan was hit by the explosions, but since they weren’t head-on, he blocked them with his Sky Energy as best as he could, not shifting his attention from the Golden Sphere.

*Swish!*

The Cleaving Energy reached the core at the center of the Golden Sphere in a split second, carrying Roan’s full power, elements, and laws. That attack could force even a Peak Stage Divinity Realm to dodge or go all out to block, so it was no joke.

*Booom!*

An explosion of Red Lightning, Energy, Elements, and Laws followed, the core being hit perfectly in the center.

However, the Celestial Laws inside immediately reacted, creating a golden barrier around its shell. Much of the Golden Energy of the Golden Sphere dissipated as a result, but the core was protected, with just a few cracks appearing on it.

Following that, even more of those ribbons of energy appeared, and this time, things changed. The eyes carried the Celestial Laws, the same ones inside the core, as they targeted Roan near the Sphere.

’Shit!’

Roan immediately shot back, Kentucky doing his best to intercept as many of the ribbons as possible, but even he didn’t have enough Blade Featers to stop them all. Even worse, Kentucky’s Blade Feathers were much weaker than the ribbons of energy with eyes, so several of them were destroyed.

’Death Style, Reversive Arcs!’

Roan changed his approach as he took distance from the Golden Sphere. Each one of those ribbons carried a real threat of death, and he could let them strike him directly.

Countless threads of Black and White Light revolved around Roan, and the ribbons struck them one after another.

*Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...*

Each explosion blasted Roan further away from the Sphere and made Roan himself cough several mouthfuls of blood, but he persevered with his defense. The Celestial Laws inside those explosions were taking a massive toll on him.

*Flap!*

Just as the threads of Black and White Element were about to disappear, Kentucky appeared behind Roan, grabbed his shoulder with his claws, and flapped his wings with everything he had. Both Kentucky and Roan shot into the distance, just barely missing the many more golden ribbons with eyes that rained down.

Rean and Celis arrived at this moment, seeing Kentucky fleeing from the Golden Sphere. ’This is not working.’

Roan obviously knew that.

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

As Roan healed the internal injuries of his body, Kentucky continued to fly away as the Golden Sphere pursued them. Celis and Rean were close by, but didn’t join the two. If they did so, they would only make the Golden Sphere focus all its power on them at once.

’Roan,’ Rean called him out, ’Should we merge?’

’No,’ Roan immediately refused the idea. ’Now that it has started to use its Celestial Laws, it will be game over if it focuses on one of us alone. It’s the fact that it is focusing on all four of us at once that we are barely managing to resist it, and that’s because we are fleeing nonstop.’

Celis had another plan, though. ’This Golden Sphere is mostly Divine Energy, even though there are these Celestial Laws mixed. I’ve already started to drain its energy with my Domain, but it is replenishing itself with the Divine Energy of the environment. I never expected to say this, but this A1 Universe has way too much energy.’

’That said, I can drain this thing until it disappears, but it will take at least an hour or so. Also, that will only work if it keeps attacking us nonstop. The power of each of those ribbons of energy with eyes carries huge amounts of Divine Energy. If it stops and focuses on recovering its energy, then we will have to stay here an entire day before I drain it.’ Celis concluded.

Roan narrowed his eyes, looking back at the Golden Sphere, which kept sending those things after them, and they were truly fast. It was easier to dodge now that Celis and Rean had arrived and forced it to share its attention. Unfortunately, one hour was indeed way too long. The experts of this Vous Continent would definitely get here way before that.

Roan separated himself from Kentucky, and that made the Sphere divide its attention between the two. Paying attention to Celis, he knew what Celis wanted to do. ’You want us to attack together and force it to use even more energy.’

’Yes,’ Celis confirmed. ’When you attacked earlier, it truly went all out for a moment, and the amount of Divine Energy it used was enormous. If we force its hands several more times, it won’t be able to replenish itself. It will be even better if I can contain it inside my Energy Prison.’

Celis could create an enclosed area with his vines and roots that would seal the insides from all the energies from the outside. It was his Divine Energy Draining Prison, an ability he had used before creating his Energy Draining Domain.

If used together with his Domain, the effects of energy draining would increase, and the Golden Sphere wouldn’t have access to external sources.

’For now, forget the Prison,’ Roan said. ’We will turn against it and attack. We need to force it to release as much energy as possible. We have ten minutes. If we don’t finish this by then, we will leave.’

’But it is faster than us,’ Kentucky commented. ’If it focuses on the pursuit alone, even I can’t outrun it.’

’It’s not a problem.’ Roan already had a plan. ’Ten minutes is likely the limit before the experts of Vous Continent arrive with their own Spatial Gates, as long as they open it outside the Golden light area like Rean and Celis did, of course. We can use them as bait to get out of this place.’

Rean didn’t want to flee, though. He saw through Roan’s memories how this Sphere killed everything in its path back in the city. ’Then let’s not waste time!’
