Death… And Me

Chapter 4024: Real Cards

Chapter 4024: Real Cards

Vuccu didn’t leave the Future Realm, though. He still had that feeling he was missing something, so he stayed. In his eyes, there wasn’t a single Celestial Realm Expert in the Future Realm. Naturally, no one should be able to detect his presence or feel his Divine Sense.

His Celestial Laws of Silent Passage could completely hide his presence from anyone in this Realm. However, that was not the same for his Divine Sense. As long as Rean, Roan, or Kentucky kept their Divine Sense Bending Skill active, they would at least know Vuccu was still there.

Sometime later, Rean returned to the Qufis Alliance, which surprised everyone. Zonhime quickly came forward, dying out of curiosity. "Fani, how did it go?"

Rean... or Fani, looked at Zonhime. "Senior Vuccu said that I couldn’t be punished for my invention since it wasn’t against the rules. However, the Tombassin Sect is also responsible for the stability of the Future Realm. That said, he couldn’t allow me to use my device anymore and even destroyed it. He also prohibited me from sharing its creation methods, warning that the Tomassin Sect would keep a close eye during the next openings. If they see anyone using the device I created, they will cut mine and everyone else’s connection to the energies of the world forever."

Zonhime and the others couldn’t help but sweat cold. That’s precisely what they feared, and Vuccu’s direct statement was a warning not only for Rean but for them as well. The Tombassin Sect definitely knows every single expert who entered this Realm, including Qufis. There was no running away if they broke the rules. "You all heard it. If you don’t want your cultivation path to end prematurely, you’d better keep your mouth shut. Even better, from now on, none of us should even mention this conversation ever happened."

There wasn’t a single voice of complaint. Some have already decided to pretend this event never took place.

Zonhime was satisfied with everyone’s reactions, turning back in Rean’s direction right after. "Alright, this much is done. Was there anything else we should know?"

"Oh!" Rean quickly nodded, looking at Roan, Kentucky, and Celis.

Of course, those three already knew what he was going to talk about, but they had to pretend they didn’t hear anything. They could tell Vuccu was watching.

"Senior Vuccu said he was quite impressed by my group’s talent, and requested our presence in the next Tombassin Sect Recruitment, seventeen thousand years from now." As soon as he said that, he threw three of those blue cards to Roan, Celis, and Kentucky. "Zende, Juvenal, Tukuo, use your Werdlem Energy Signatures to bind the card. These cards will be necessary if we want to be accepted when that time comes. Once you bind the card with the energy signature, no one else will be able to use it."

Rean understood how the card worked straight away after he saw them being left behind by Vuccu. Why the cards? Well, that was obvious. It was the Tombassin Sect! Just how many experts all over the A1 Universe don’t wish to try to join it? Just the idea of it being easier to find information regarding your necessary Celestial Laws was enough to cause a blood bath when one of these cards became available. The cards existed to make sure the recruitment wouldn’t suddenly be packed with quadrillions upon quadrillions of experts.

Now, everyone was seeing four of those cards! Four! The jealousy in everyone’s eyes was so obvious that they might die because of it.

However, let’s ignore the fact that each one of them was a Divinity Realm Middle Stage Expert. Even if they weren’t, would anyone here try to rob the cards given to the twins’ group by Vuccu himself? They might be jealous, but they don’t want to die yet.

Roan, Celis, and Kentucky followed Rean’s instructions, binding the cards. Once they poured their Werdlem Energy from their Werdlem Stones inside, the card changed, showing their names and other kinds of information.

"Sigh..." Zonhime shook her head. "My Qufis Alliance was intending to make an offer to convince the four of you to join us once the Realm is closed. However, now that you have those cards, nothing Qufis could give to you would ever match their values. Right... did he also prohibit you from mentioning these cards?"

"Errr... no?" Rean shook his head in response. "Why?"

Zonhime shrugged. "Well, even though you bound your cards, they are still worth a lot. There are always those who think they can do something to fake them, and would love to put their hands on some examples so they can study the cards."

"Is that so?" Rean found that funny. "Well, let them come. I wanna see who will take my card away from me."

Well, truth be told, the twins’ group hasn’t used any cards at all. Why would they? First, they had no intention whatsoever to go to the Tombassin Sect. At least, not at the moment.

Second, their IDs were fake. If they used those Fake Werdlem Energy Signatures, which their Qufis Alliance IDs were built on, they would have to use those IDs once they went to that recruitment. That obviously wouldn’t work, since these IDs have no past. They would sooner or later be discovered, and things would go south.

Third and lastly, they might have no use for those cards, but weren’t there two friends in their group who would benefit massively from them? Tanxan and Foliana, obviously, would definitely want to join that sect. It meant they could increase their chances of finding Celestial Laws that matched their affinity.

Let’s not forget that, so far, what they got from the information exchange hub were only clues to places where the presence of Celestial Laws ’might’ exist, and the chances were relatively low. That’s not even counting that even if there are Celestial Laws there, they most likely won’t be compatible with their affinities.

That being said, what Rean showed to everyone wasn’t the real cards. He made some counterfeits in the Dimensional Realm pretty quickly. These fake cards were not bound to anything. Rean just made them show those pieces of information whenever any type of energy entered them. They were truly nothing but paperweights, slightly expensive ones.

As for the real ones, he kept them inside the Dimensional Realm. Later, once the Future Realm ended, they would all disappear from Qufis. They would assume their original identities as members of the Runia Continent. Those IDs from Tanxan and Foliana could be used without fear. Who knows, the other two cards might have some use for the twins’ group in the future, too.

*Clap!*

Zonhime clapped her hands, looking at everyone. "Alright, let’s go back to cultivate and comprehend laws. There are only ten years left, but you never know what you could gain in this place, even if the time is short."

Nothing else happened in the following years. Vuccu’s Divine Sense eventually disappeared, and the Future Realm arrived at its closure time.

Suddenly, everyone received a message on their CDs. The content showed that the Future Realm would teleport everyone out in the next hour and that they should all get ready.
