Chapter 4113: A Slight Annoyance
Each of the Great Void Shifters had paths entangled with many others, and usually only the Werdlem Empire could settle those paths when travelling between Universes. The twins' group had no such problem, though. Using the system's capabilities, they could select a specific Universe from the hundreds available for that route.
They left A1 two days earlier, so they obviously already reached D198. From there, they travelled to the next Great Void Shifter Formation, a broken one whose Abyssal Path was connected to many other Universes, specifically F956.
So, by the time Jruse-Uh received the information about the A1 Shifter's available paths and sent people to check them on the other Universes, the twins' group was long gone.
---
Back in F956, Rifindio was having a meeting with the leaders of a few sects from the Divine Realm in some distant regions. It might have been thousands of years since the twins' group had been to F956, but that's mostly because they used the Future Realm. For Rifindio, it obviously hasn't been that long.
Even now, he was still consolidating his new position as the Universe F956 owner. He had been to countless meetings in the Divine Realm, Heavens, and Underworld. There were those who opposed it, but the majority could only accept, as Rifindio was the only Celestial of the Universe now.
This kind of 'administration tasks' would probably take a few tens of thousands more years until Rifindio can finally settle down, and that's because he was only dealing with those at the top of the chain in the various regions. If he had to also worry about every single power, millions of years would still not be enough.
"So it is decided," Rifindio spoke with authority. "The Furklus Sea Sect will be taking charge of the routes, especially the one connecting to the central region of the Divine Realm. The rest of you will help settle down those routes and also act as the Furklus Sea Sect's supervisors. In exchange, the Furklus Sea Sect will commit to share the profits for the next hundred thousand years in the following way..."
A few hours later, Rifindio departed from there, opening a Spatial Gate and disappearing from view. He didn't go back to the Supreme Palace straight away, though. Instead, he stopped by a space away from any city or experts. He knew that if he returned to the Supreme Palace now, his appointed subordinates would drown him in many more of these matters.
He even complained once. Didn't Triaglia at times seclude herself for tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of years? He doesn't remember any time Triaglia had been as active as he.
Of course, Rifindio was extremely young. Triaglia was in the middle of one of those long seclusions when he was born and went through all those adventures. Too bad his subordinates explained that Triaglia went through the same hurdles. There were plenty of records of it in the Werdlem Network of his F956, so Rifindio could only shut up and do his duty. At the end of the day, he is taking care of F956 for the Werdlem Empire, not for himself.
"Sigh... this is not what I expected to be doing after becoming a Universe Owner," Rifindio murmured.
Then, a voice echoed in his mind. 'Kid, if you are already feeling like that, you might not last long enough until you can get yourself a successor. We barely even started with the duties of a Universe Owner of the Werdlem Empire.'
The one who talked to him was none other than Rifindio's own Control Orb, or to be more specific, the F956 Universe Root Egg's Sentience, Nyanta. It was pretty much the same as Sister Orb, but with no system involved. Back in the Golden Palace, Victor presented the egg to everyone who had passed all the tests, but ultimately, the final decision would be made by that sentience, and it chose Rifindio. Rifindio's years of interactions with Sister Orb were the deciding factor in the end.
Rifindio nodded, lying down on his back. "I'm still a Celestial in the Initial Stage. It will take forever until I reach the Peak Stage, you know? It's pointless to talk about a successor at the moment. Also, don't put the Werdlem Empire's name in the conversation. Are you loyal to them or me?"
'You, obviously,' Nyanata answered. 'I don't even want my Universe to be locked down in this fucking bubble of theirs to start with. But if the Werdlem Empire decides to get rid of you, it will be bad for me as well. Come on, get up. In just a few tens of thousands of years, you will have consolidated your position. From that moment onwards, you can delegate most of the tasks to the Camazotz Bats and take all the time you want to do whatever you want.'
Rifindio sighed again and got up, preparing to open a Spatial Gate to return to the Supreme Palace. However, it was at that moment that his CD activated. "Hum?"
Checking the number, he saw it was Rean who was calling. "He is using one of the reserve numbers... It's also a little earlier than his usual periodic calls."
Then, he answered. "Hey there, Rean. I hope you didn't get yourself into another world-shaking event. Hahaha! What are you calling me for?"
Rean showed a bitter smile on the other side of the video call. -Ahem... Of course not! I'm... I'm just passing by, and decided to say hello. That's all. I'm already here in F956 again.-
Well, Rean's demeanor made it very obvious it wasn't all. "Just which hornet's nest did you poke this time?"
Rean scratched the back of his head. -It's nothing that serious. We might have bothered Soza a little bit, that's all.-
"Soza?" Rifindio could think of a bunch of experts with that name. "Well, there are plenty of Sozas out there. It's the Werdlem Emperor's name, after all. Is it someone important from A1?" He at least knew the twins got to A1 by now, but he hadn't heard about their adventure to the Werdlem Universe yet.
-Uh? Uh... You could say that he is important in A1 indeed. Then again, he is also important in A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8... all the way down to F-ranked Universes. But I guess he holds the most importance in the Werdlem Universe itself.-
Rifindio had a bad feeling. "You wouldn't possibly have done something that idiotic, right? Right?!"
-Idiotic is a strong word...- Rean looked away. -We just liberated a few primordial beasts in his Werdlem Empire's care, invaded his Imperial Palace, had his most beloved daughter help us escape, and are now definitely the most wanted experts in the Empire. See? It wasn't anything that big. At most, it was a slight annoyance.-
Rifindio wanted to cry. "You motherfucker!"
