Chapter 4133: 200k
*Zush!*
Roan also came out, finding Beelzebub’s arrival unexpected. "That’s a weird choice, to say the least..."
Beelzebub looked at the twins, his expression showing confusion. "Who the hell are you?"
Well, we can’t forget that Rean and Roan were ’reborn’ in this Werdlem Empire, so even their normal appearances were different from back in the Lisan Universe.
But before the twins could say anything, Beelzebub understood. "Oh! Right, the white and black hairs. It’s the two idiots. What’s wrong with your appearance? Is there a need to hide it from me?"
Rean’s mouth twitched. "Did you even hear about our death?"
"Dying makes your appearance change? Shouldn’t that only happen after you reincarnate?" Beelzubub countered. "Did you reincarnate?"
"Well... I don’t know. Maybe?" Rean wondered if that capsule where he and Roan woke up in the Werdlem Universe could be considered some kind of reincarnation. "Forget that! Why are you here? Did Hyeoumu send you?"
Beelzebub nodded in response. "The one and only, also Soul Gem. To think that big turtle had such a history. Axiom Tortoise, is it? A Primordial Demon Beast, and that is not even his real body. Is all that crap true?"
"It certainly is," Roan confirmed. "And since you know about it, that means you came here with the information about the location of Hyeoumu’s real body, right?"
"Yes. We made a deal to have me come to this place." Beelzebub then explained everything.
Beelzebub didn’t know what was happening when Hyeoumu’s Divine Sense reached him. He was in the underworld, where he had built considerable power through his influence. He was, after all, a Peak Divinity Soul Devil.
Back then, when the twins found Beelzebub, he was considered a pest, something that ate the souls of dead beings nonstop. We also can’t forget that a Soul Devil is nothing but a huge gathering of dead souls that gained sentience.
Eating the dead souls wasn’t really the problem, though.
Usually, Soul Devils go crazy due to all the memories of all the dead souls, and because of that, they often go into rampages. There were other ways of acquiring dead souls other than waiting for them in the underworld. You could simply kill, kill, kill, and you would get dead souls before they were sent to the Underworld in the first place. That was the big issue.
Beelzebub was sealed because of those problems, and the twins found his soul. Many things happened, and they eventually let Beelzebub go. He obviously had gained enough self-control that he wouldn’t kill for such reasons. They even helped him by leaving Beelzebub in a hidden area of the Reincarnation Path Entrance area. That way, he could recover his power without killing anyone.
Beelzebub then took part in the war against garisan, playing a pivotal role, and also showing he wasn’t at a point where he could lose his mind due to thirst for more dead souls. After the twins ’died’ and the war was over, a new agreement was made with Beelzebub.
The risk of new Soul Devils appearing was low, especially since the reincarnation path area was under constant vigilance, but it was not an impossible matter. A Soul Devil could appear somewhere else in the Underworld. Beelzebub, as a Soul Devil himself, could feel other Soul Devils, so the pact they reached was that Beelzebub would get rid of any Soul Devil if they appeared. His own living location was pretty close to the Reincarnation Path Area for that same reason, as that was the place with the best environment for the birth of Soul Devils.
Don’t get it wrong. Beelzebub was sealed in the first place because he was one of such Soul Devils who went into rampages. It’s just that he grew strong enough to gain control over himself, and his time in the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm definitely also helped him gain control over his urges. Above all, because he became a Peak Divinity Soul Devil, he had no need for Dead Souls anymore. They wouldn’t increase his strength one bit.
Unfortunately for Beelzebub, that was also the issue. As one of the Peak Divinities of the Lisan Universe, he was also made aware of the requirements to reach the so-coveted Celestial Realm Cultivation. Find his own Celestial Laws? Find a Great Void Black Hole? Attempt a connection? That looked like an impossible task in the Lisan Universe.
And due to his agreement, he had to keep an eye on the Reincarnation Path area and the Underworld as a whole. He couldn’t join the few Peak Divinities who were brought to higher-level Universes of Garisan to look for rogue Celestial Laws, in his case, Celestial Laws of Hunger. The Semi-Celestials watched him as well, so it wasn’t like he could just do whatever he wanted.
There Beelzebub was, wondering for thousands of years about what he should do. He would often travel around the underworld, hoping for the chance of finding those almost nonexistent rogue Celestial Laws, and hoping even more that they just so happen to be Celestial Laws of Hunger. As one can imagine, he hasn’t found a single one.
But then, Hyeoumu and Soul Gem reached him. They offered Beelzebub a new deal in exchange for having him go to the Werdlem Empire and deliver the information to the twins’ group. In exchange for delivering it, Beelzebub would be told of a place in the Werdlem Empire where there was a chance of him finding those Celestial Laws of Hunger. Above all, he would have a better chance of reaching a Great Void Black Hole in there.
And so, here he is. "Now then! Take it!"
Beelzebub didn’t waste time, throwing Jade Slip to the twins’ group.
Roan caught it, reading the information inside. "A7 Universe... a single turtle, no more than a meter long, swimming in the biggest ocean of the A7 Divine Realm. For the safety of its body, Hyeoumu made sure it couldn’t be detected in any way, Divine Sense, Natural Spatial Perception, or anything else."
*Pin!*
[The Axiom Tortoise, Hyeoumu, known as the Pillar of Gravity, was crucial to the development of physics at the beginning of everything. Rather than saying he controls gravity, saying he controls physics would be a better fit, including the physics of his own body.]
[Quest Update: Find the roaming turtle in the Cloco Divine Ocean.]
[Reward: 200000 Celestial Points.]
"Two hundred thousand?!" Rean was taken aback. "Just what kind of crazy shit do we need to do to get Hyeoumu’s body back?"
That was definitely the highest Celestial Points Reward they have seen so far!
