Death… And Me

Chapter 4211: Nothing Much

Chapter 4211: Nothing Much

In the Demon Beasts’ Territory of the Realm of Gods, one could find the territory of the Dragons as well. Back then, it was the twins, together with the Demon Beasts, who started to REALLY expand the Communication System.

After the twins’ group left, Qia stayed here, as she was already one of the top Formations Masters when it came to the knowledge about the system. She wasn’t the only one. Rean’s daughter also had talent for the sub occupation, and she stayed with Qia to develop the Communication System.

Now, the System had many hubs, and the main blueprints regarding encryptions and such were shared with the other powers of the Lisan Universe. It had to be done, considering the threats from outside. On the humanoid races’ side, for example, Havek was the top Formations Master, and he worked closely with Qia and the other hubs nonstop.

The Communication System obviously wasn’t at a level where it could face the Werdlem Empire. It couldn’t face Garisan or any of the others either. Nonetheless, it truly connected the entire Lisan Universe, and recently, it began to reach the hands of lower-level cultivators and even some mortals in isolated planets of the Mortal Realm.

The revolution it brought was obvious. Technologically, the entire Universe was developing at breakneck speed, and with the experience brought by the Formations Master from Garisan, things only got better.

Right now, Qia and Fay have a rectangular device in front of them, on a machine that is placing countless microcircuitry runes into it. They weren’t the only ones. Many other Formations Masters from their hub were together, and they discussed the results as they slowly activated the various functions of that device.

It was a new type of Communication Device, much more advanced, capable of using other devices of the same type to amplify the signals far beyond what they did in Rean’s time. However, they were having difficulty with the Electric and Divine Energy runes reaching way too high temperatures, and they were trying to figure out the problem.

"How about we reduce the frequency of the DPU?" Gofin, one of the formation masters there, asked. As for DPU, it stands for Divine Processing Unit.

Fay shook her head in response. "To do that now, we would lag behind by quite a lot in the communication speed, even if it can somewhat resolve the distance issue."

Fay was already a Late Stage Space-Time Realm cultivator, although you could say her cultivation speed had reduced a lot after the Space-Time. Fay didn’t have much interest in cultivation, after all. So, she now prioritized her work with runes and gradually increased her cultivation. Reaching the Space-Time Realm already gave you a limitless lifespan, let’s not forget.

Well... There was the problem of losing one’s heart after a determined amount of time, but Fay was definitely too far from that.

Qia agreed with her. "If we do that, we might as well build a new device from scratch. However, the idea isn’t that bad. For lower-level cultivators, that absolute speed of the Device doesn’t need to be that good. We will keep your idea in mind."

Gofin was happy to hear that. He had great respect for Qia after all the years of working together. Everyone there had. The woman was only a Divinity Initial Stage, but when it came to formations, she was truly a powerhouse.

"Now this is a little difficulty..." Qia murmured.

Then, a voice echoed from behind. "I know what you can do."

Everyone looked at the newcomer, their eyes narrowing. None of them recognized the guy. The guy didn’t care, though. He simply offered his identification, which showed he was a special guest with the authority to visit this place. Yet, for some reason, his name wasn’t being displayed, with a simple ’No Authority’ in front of where the name should have been.

Qia didn’t mind. She barely paid attention to him at all. If he were here, that means he has the authority to do so. It was that simple. He wasn’t the first, nor would he be the last, entering that place. "What do you have in mind, sir?"

The man nodded and pointed at one of the screens that depicted many of the functions being performed. "Here. The reason it is overheating is that the routes of the electric microrunes are overlapping."

"Of course, they are," Qia sighed, losing her interest. "We are stacking several layers to reduce the size of those circuitries, increase performance, and keep the same size of the device itself, after all."

Yet, the man shook his head. "I know you are stacking, and the superheating can easily be resolved with a layer of Daramin Water Alloy in between them."

The man approached Qia and Fay, a smile on his face. "Come on, try to remember your training back in the Sunkan Planet. Back then, you already knew about this alloy. There is no need for the device to carry extremely expensive materials. Whatever works, works. You can improve the flaws after that. First, you try to reach a solution. Only after proving this solution isn’t feasible should you move to another thing. Focusing on several different methods at once isn’t always the best thing."

Qia was taken aback. She looked at the device, and her eyes lit up. "Daramin Watter Alloy... That’s it! Actually, we can use Fontay Ice Ore, which would give an even better result. Yes! It can work!"

Fay and Gofin also felt the same. "Indeed!"

Gofin didn’t waste time, taking out his CD and requesting that alloy for the work.

Fay and Qia had their eyes glued to the screen, thinking about the several applications that method could be used for.

But then, Qia stopped. "Hum? Sunkan Planet?"

Fay also stopped. How did this guy know?

Sure, the fact that Qia came from the Sunkan Planet wasn’t any secret. Due to her importance for the Communication System, all power had already conducted extensive investigations about her. However, knowing from where she came was one thing. Now, knowing that she worked with a specific type of metal alloy back then was a completely different story! Even Qia didn’t remember she had worked with that alloy anymore.

She turned to the man, her hope increasing, but then, she sighed. The man in front of her wasn’t the man she was expecting. She’d better find out how this man knew so much about her past. "Sir, where are you from? How did you know I worked with that alloy?"

The man looked different, but at the end of the day, we all know him, Rean! Why didn’t she recognize him? Because his body changed when Hick brought the twins to the Werdlem Empire.

Rean smiled at her. "Me? I’m of no importance. All I did was create this communication system, save the universe, die, found out I didn’t die and was reborn with a new body, appeared in the Werdlem Empire, did a lot of shit that definitely pissed off the Werdlem Empire, stopping them from taking control over the entire Great Void and all Universes inside, surprisingly, definitely pissed off a Dark Element user twin of mine even more, and then I came back. See? Nothing much at all."
