Death… And Me

Chapter 4290: Leave It To Me!

Chapter 4290: Leave It To Me!

On Celis’s side, it turned out Rean was wrong. Celis wasn’t called to help with some array or anything like that. He was called to help with the stabilization of a newly discovered Celestial Stones Vein. He wasn’t the only one. Quite a few other experts who had some kind of energy control and absorption ability were also called over.

Everyone assigned to this task was an Anchor God, with just a few low-level Aura Gods. It made sense, as you wouldn’t send Zone Gods to deal with such a simple task.

The one in charge, a spirit called Jui’Fiyi, waited for the last volunteers to arrive before explaining their task. "The Celestial Stones Vein is pretty unstable due to an overflow of energy. If we want to establish a mining workforce here, we need to first secure the mine itself."

"That’s why you were all called. As we excavate the hundreds of tunnels, you will be responsible for absorbing the Celestial Energy in the surroundings. Be careful, as the energy inside is pretty chaotic. You can use any method you want to discharge the energy you acquired, too. Just make sure it doesn’t affect the construction of the mine."

Then, Celis and the others were brought into the mine. It already had quite a few paths, short ones, far from enough. The fact that the overflow happened wasn’t too bad. It was primarily the reason this vein was found in the first place.

Inside, Celis saw the plans of very long tunnels, as the vein itself was enormous. Kentucky, obviously, followed him. "This is going to be pretty boring..."

Celis didn’t mind. "Although we can’t use Celestial Energy for cultivation or battle, I can still absorb it. After all, we need it together with Godly Pressure to create Godly Energy. The same goes for you, just not as fast and efficient as I am. If you help, we can end things faster and even cultivate a little in the process."

"Sigh..." Kentucky expected that. "Well, we might as-"

Suddenly, Kentucky stopped his sentence midway, looking in a specific direction. It was a path different from the one Celis was selected to take. "Can you change positions with whoever is taking that path?"

Celis already knew what had happened. "Is the ore there that good?"

Sure enough, Kentucky’s natural metals and ores sense was still working just fine. "It is very good, definitely delicious!"

"What about the cultivators here?" Celis asked. "What if they want it?"

Kentucky stopped and thought about it for a moment. "We need to check first. This mine is new, so there is a good chance they don’t know about the ores yet. If they did, they wouldn’t have called it a Celestial Stones Vein. I’m pretty sure that what created this vein was the ores deep in that direction, which is also the direction of the center of the vein."

Celis noticed something. "So that’s how it is. It is the ore there that caused the Celestial Vein to overflow and make the energy chaotic. Veins usually are easily harvested, after all."

Kentucky nodded. "And it is the vein itself that covered the existence of the ore. They probably are thinking that the vein just accumulated too much energy before anyone found it."

Celis turned around and went to talk to Jui’Fiyi. "Hello, friend. I’m quite sensitive to energies, so would you mind if I take that path instead? It will get more chaotic the further we go in that direction, and I just so happen to be perfect for this kind of job."

Jui’Fiyi found it strange. "Are you certain? The first analysis we made here said something different. Also, why would you take the more dangerous path?"

Celis shrugged. "Well, I can’t really prove to you since it is something to do with my own Innate Ability as a World Swallowing Cedar. Still, I don’t think you have anything to lose here. It is volunteer work anyway. As to why I want to go myself, that’s because of cultivation, obviously. I came prepared to use the extra energy, as it being more chaotic doesn’t change much to me."

Jui’Fiyi thought for a moment and decided to go with Celis’s suggestion. "Well, it won’t make any difference indeed. Your warning could very well have saved us a lot of trouble, too. Very well."

The spirit quickly called one of the guys, some kind of rock-type demon beast. "Closandro, you will swap positions with this Cedar here. Go through that path."

Closandro immediately refused. "No can do. I already prepared myself to deal with the excavation of the rocks on that side. I will have to change my approach again if I go somewhere else, and that will be annoying. Send someone else." And so, he turned around and joined the group on the path Celis wanted to enter again.

Jui’Fiyi was a little helpless. "That’s the problem with the volunteer jobs. Everyone wants to do whatever they feel like."

In the end, Jui’Fiyi got someone else to swap with Celis, as the safety of the excavation was a priority. Only then did everyone get ready, and Jui’Fiyi gave the order. "Okay, let’s start. Remember, the Celestial Energy of the vein here is pretty chaotic, so those responsible for absorbing or eliminating it must always be careful. We don’t want everything to explode. You all can start."

The excavations immediately restarted, with Celis and Kentucky going down the path Kentucky mentioned earlier. However, it wasn’t a fast process. Celis and a few of the guys of his energy control team worked together, but there was indeed a lot of chaotic celestial energy in there.

They used whatever method they could to get rid of the energy. Like simply absorbing, then using some passive abilities, channeling the energy into storage devices, and so on.

As they walked, Kentucky told Rean about what he found.

’Hum?’ Rean quickly grew interested. ’That good?’

’Yes,’ Kentucky confirmed. ’It is on par with the best ores I felt inside the Besgol Region cities so far.’

Rean pondered a bit. ’That’s quite good. Maybe it could also be used for our airplane. Try to get a good amount, Kentucky. The better the airplane is, the less work you will have to do when we are exploring later on.’

Kentucky was convinced in a second. ’Less work?! Say no more!’
